Hi there! Here I am with an easel card. I have used some lovely papers from the Vintage Summer Basics collection. I wanted to give it a little hint of retro and vintage look. I hope you like it!

I have painted two girls from Magnolia that might be leaving or they are saying goodbye to someone close to them. As the animal lover I am, I had to have a cute dog in the scene too.

I made a propell with dies from Magnolia. All dies used are from the Vintage box, third edition.

The postcard from Paris, is cut out from the pattern paper called Minnen.

For this suitcase I have used pattern papers from the Vintage Summer Basics collecton and dies from the Vintagebox third edition.

Hello Sweeties

Today, I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new set of cards: Just for her, Just for him. Just for them.

Just for them by Pascale B.

I’ve worked with the Vintage Summer Basics collection. Yellow-orange and burgundy for her, aqua for him.

I cut a few papers that I glued together. I die-cut the smallest to add some interest.

I glued some sisal and splattered the card with a mix of glitter, gel medium, and water.

I die-cut a few leaves in a watercolor paper that I colored with Twinkling H2Os as well as the chipboards.

Hi Everyone, Its Keren Here with a new layout for the Maja Design Blog using one of my all time favourite collections Vintage Summer Basics.

IMG_3313 copy

I love going to the beach and as a family that’s our favourite place to go on vacation. This picture of my kids running on the sand was taken during our last vacation in Mexico. I wanted to create movement on my layout and so I stencilled across the page using white gesso.  Then I sprayed with Prima’s blue Color Bloom sprays summer sky and glistening waves, to mimic the colour of the ocean.

I mounted the photo on small pieces of Maja Design papers and then framed the photo in a Blue Fern Studios chipboard frame which was lightly daubed in white gesso. Then I glued lots of sequence and textured stones around the  frame to add lots of texture to the background and make it look like an ocean. Sequins are from “Dress my Craft” and the art stones are Prima Finnabair.

Here you can se the texture and the Vintage Summer basics papers underneath the photo.

Hi there! I hope February has been good to you so far. When it is cold outside I dream about Summer:) And here is a card for you with the lovely Vintage Summer Basics collection.

Vintage-Summer-Basics-P

I will give you the list of the papers used at the end of this post. But first some more photos of my card. As you can see I have a round window in the front.

IMG_6755

And I have also made a belt to keep the card together. The paper lace is made with a die from Magnolia called Swedish lace.

IMG_6736

Out to the left I have used a punch called Word Window Punce on the Maja paper. The leaf circle is made with a Magnolia die and the pink flowers with a Small Retro Flower punch. And Tilda is coloured in colours that match the lovely Maja papers.

IMG_6740

I have stamped the text directly on to the pattern paper. It is from Stempelglede. As you can see I have sewed the papers, and inked the edges with Distress Ink pad, Walnut Stain.

IMG_6764

And here is the inside of the card. “Tommel opp” means “Thumbs up”. I have also painted with White Gesso here and there.

IMG_6769

I have used the same pattern papers inside the card as the front. And also on the sides. They are only glued on top and on the bottom, so that I can put a tag, a greeting or some money under it.

Here are the papers used:

Thank you so muvh for visiting the Maja Design blog! I wish you a great day!

Hi everyone,

I’m super excited to be joining the Maja Design DT and today I’m showcasing my first project.

I created a Shabby Chic Journal Cover to give as a gift to someone and I knew the Vintage Spring Basics collection were perfect for covering the journal.

IMG_3061 copy

Below, is a short step by step video tutorial on how I created it.

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vO_FuSNtw_A]

Here are some close-ups of my journal cover:

To create texture in the background I used a script The Crafters Workshop stencil with some modelling paste. I wanted to keep it very clean and shabby.

I used some matching Prima Marketing flowers, leaves and vines to embellish the book.

The doily under the flowers was cut out of the 7th of May Vintage Spring Basics paper using Prima’s die-cut metal doily.

IMG_3056 copy IMG_3057 copy

To cover the book I used the April 3rd paper and for the doily I used the May 7th paper from the Vintage Spring Basics collection below.
