I’m super excited to be joining the Maja Design DT and today I’m showcasing my first project.
I created a Shabby Chic Journal Cover to give as a gift to someone and I knew the Vintage Spring Basics collection were perfect for covering the journal.
Below, is a short step by step video tutorial on how I created it.
Here are some close-ups of my journal cover:
To create texture in the background I used a script The Crafters Workshop stencil with some modelling paste. I wanted to keep it very clean and shabby.
I used some matching Prima Marketing flowers, leaves and vines to embellish the book.
The doily under the flowers was cut out of the 7th of May Vintage Spring Basics paper using Prima’s die-cut metal doily.
To cover the book I used the April 3rd paper and for the doily I used the May 7th paper from the Vintage Spring Basics collection below.
Hi Keren, so great to see you here, and I´m very exited to see, what you´ll be making with these amazing papers here over the next year. This is such a beautiful cover, and I´m sure, your friend will be thrilled, when she get it. It´v´s very beautiful and perfect made as always.
