Goodmorning lovely Maja fans,

Today i’d like to show a layout made with the wonderful new collection “Enjoying Outdoors” when I got my beautiful box yesterday I had to dig in and the papers smelled as good as they look :-). As maybe some of you know my favorite color is purple and this collection has {at least that’s what I think 😉 } every shade of purple in it! 20150925_084216This time I used a very old picture {back in the fifties} of my Grandfather and Grandmother although they are no longer among us I still believe they are together in after life. My handsome grandfather past away when I was only five years old. And my grandmother was the love of his life and the other way around. She stayed alone after him passing away until she past away January 2014.20150925_084053Lately I am more into mixed media so I love to use spray’s, paste’s & embossing powders, but I still love to add layers. Here in The Netherlands all scrapbook stores I know are more in to project life, misc me and art journal’s! Is it just me?? {not liking that kind of paper crafting}. I will just keep it at making layout’s and once in a while a card. What do you like to make??20150925_084102Don’t you just love these papers well I do very much. If you have the chance to buy them please do you will not be disappointed.20150925_084058 Maja Design papers used: Colourful, Gardening, Beautiful trees, Having tea in the sun, Garden creatures, Late summer flowers and I’m happyEnjoying-Outdoors-PThank you so much for visiting the blog today I hope you enjoyed my post and i’d like to wish you a wonderful weekend!

Hello dear friends! Its Evgenia Petzer with you this morning and I have prepared one really air filled card, that is soft and romantic and is in my favorite style and scrapping colors (the mix of blue and pin in any shads is my all time fav).

Gorgeous roses from the Summer crush collection are the main focal point of this card.maja_summer_crushsome close ups:

I love to curl up the papers with my finger tips for more visual dimension that this simple technique adds.

Summer Cards

Hello Maja fans! Gabrielle here with you today to share a couple of cards I made using the adorable summer collection ‘Summer Crush’!  I just love the ‘Snapshots’ paper, so many fun little vignettes to serve as centerpieces to a cute retro style card!

Summer Cards2

Maja Design paper is just made for layering.  I start by choosing a favorite patterned paper like the polka-dot ‘Flirty’ paper.  I distress the edges with a Tim Holtz Edge Distressor, then just start layering on more and more patterned papers.  Tuck in a little burlap, some floral embellishments and a little wood-cut trellis (Scrapiniec), and you’re done!

Summer Cards3

For my second card I again used the polka-dot pattern, this time in the blue and used the cute l’il blue guitar picture as my center piece.  Perfect for a fun little card to cheer up a friend!  Again, I just did lots of layering and tucked in a little burlap, embellished with a butterfly and added a little twine. In a short amount of time I had 2 fun cards ready to go!

Maja Design products used in these projects:  Summer Crush 6×6 paper pad, Summer Crush 12×12 paper (Flirty, He Gives Her flowers, Snapshots, Long Summer Nights, Falling In Love-bs)

Thanks so much for stopping by the Maja Design Blog today, hope you all get a chance to play this week and get creative with Maja Design’s Summer Crush collection! xo

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with, as you can see, a new family photos. It’s a photo of my dad taken on the day of his very first parachute jump. He was only 18 years old at the time …

I started my layout by protecting the background with a layer of clear Gesso. Then I added a design with a stencil and Graphite paste.

When dry, I added some color with bleu and black bisters. I let react with water and when the result pleased me, I dried with my heat gun.

I added some random stamping. And to finish I completed my layout with some micro beads and glass glitter.

Hello, I'm Pascale B. from France. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition. Visit me at www.pbhobby.blogspot.com

Hello there, Maja Fans!

I’m so happy you’ve decided to come visiting our blog on this Monday morning 🙂

I don’t want to make you feel down in the mouth, but do you realise Christmas is less than  100 days away? So, it’s high time to grab some holiday papers and… make something totally un-Christmassy! 😀 And so I did, and made a layout about my Prince Charming. Well, technically speaking, he’ll be some other woman’s Prince Charming in the future, I can just already see it 😉

mdmpchI just love this photo of my son! And I thought a nice bottle green of the Wishing You Peace And Joy bs sheet from the A Gift For You collection would be a perfect backround for it. The colour palette of the layout comes from the Underneath the Christmas tree – I like how grey, white and green work together 🙂 I layered the green paper upon the grey damask sheet and distressed the edges so that the pattern pops out here and there. Then I added some flourishes with a stencil and white gesso:

mdmpch1I matted the photo with my favourite patterns in the mini version from the small paper pad 🙂 I created the words for the title using stickers and added a sweet resin cupid 🙂

mdmpch2Moustache is one of the top scrapbooking motives for masculine projects, don’t you think? 😉 I also used a resin frame for a mini photo:

mdmpch3I love using real vintage stuff in my projects! Here’s an original old watch face I bought in a store that specialises in vintage parts. I filled the hands hole with a pearl brad.

mdmpch4I finished my design off with flower-shaped resin studs by Prima. And I really like to yummy dimension, though then a problem arises – how to store such layouts, if you have over 200? 😉 What’s your idea?

mdmpch5Supplies:

Maja Design papers: A Gift For You: Wishing you peace and joy bs, From Someone Special, from the small pad: Underneath the Christmas tree bs, When the snow is falling bs, My dear friends bs. Other: Resin frame and cupid: Melissa Frances; flowers: Petaloo, Wild Orchid Crafts; resin studs: Prima; stencil: Agateria; gesso: Claudine Hellmut; stickers: Basic Grey, Making Memories, October Afternoon; cabochon, resin flower, watch face – from my stash.

See you soon!
