Hello our blog friends. Today I would like to show you my first calendar for 2018. This one will be use mostly at home, that’s why I could add a little bit more of volume. Here it is :

Year 2018 CalendarI decorated only the cover – it is the easiest way for changing the boring version of calendar.

Year 2018 CalendarFirst I created the cover and then glued it.  Used some mixed media products, chipboards and my favourites add-ons.

Hi everyone! Here I am back with a Christmas card. I have used some lovely papers from the Joyous Winterdays Collection.

Joyous-Winterdays-P

It is time for making those Christmas cards now. This time I have made a much more simpler card than I am used to. But I just had to sew around the image. I was joining an online workshop this weekend, so my card is inspired by Irene’s card. But I just had to add some Maja details;) I have used white embossing on the trees behind the image. It looks more like a Winter forest then, I think.  The image is coloured with Distress Ink, and I tried to get the red to match the red in the papers. I have used the colours Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany.

The leaves are cut out from Maja papers, and I have added some white gesso on to it. Hope you like my christmassy card! Here comes the papers used (the ephemera is from the mini papers):

 With joy and love,

Hello, and welcome to the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy here, with a bit of Christmas cheer on this happy Tuesday. Are you in the midst of your holiday preparations? If so, then I’m certainly right there with you. Today I’m honored to share a card created with Maja Design’s fabulously festive ‘I Wish’ collection.

The Santa Claus image and sentiment are part of the paper collection, and a perfect focal point for a cheery holiday card. The collection features many other vintage images that are equally delightful, making it a very difficult choice.

A simple spray of frosty greenery, pinecones, and berries adorn the right side of the card, with a loopy twine bow providing a finishing flourish.

There is actually quite a bit of dimension with this card, which I’ll try to capture in the photos below, as well as a peek at the interior design. The design papers are distressed, layered, stitched, and popped up with foam adhesive.

Christmas is closing in, and all the preparations has started, at least if I talk about myself. 😉 It’s really a lovely time a year, all though the Swedish winter weather is kind of schizophrenic at this point *LOL*. The other day it was a complete winter wonderland outside and now the snow is totally gone and the birds are singing again. Layout

Hello dear friends!

It’s Mary here with you today and I have a new layout to share with you. A Christmas page which was made with the gorgeous new collection ”Joyous Winterdays”.

photo 1

As always, I found that photo on Pinterest and I choose two papers that was matching perfectly and combined them with some beautiful flowers, a few Christmas chipboards and several Christmas embellishments. But, before I continue more I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer.

photo 2

For my background, I used the ”Blizzard” paper and made two layers on it with torn pieces from the ”Snowball Fight” paper  using both sides of it. First, I gave my background a coat of clear gesso. When it was dried, I added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil and then I heat embossed the pattern with the ”Angel Wings Gold” Lindy’s Gang embossing powder. I continued by coloring my page with Lindy’s sprays ”Golden Doubloons” and ”Whale Watch Blue”.

photo 3

I heat embossed the ”Fernlike Snowflakes” chipboards with the ”Angel Wings Gold” Lindy’s embossing powder. The title and the ”Holly Twig Branches” chipboards were also embossed with the ”Orbit Olive Gold” powder. As usual all the chipboards I used are 2crafty.

photo 4

When everything was glued down, I made some splatters with white acrylic artists ink.

That’s all for today, my friends!

Thank you for stopping by!
