Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

You have already had a chance to see some Christmas cards inspirations from my talented DT friends, using the latest Maja Design release, the Christmas Season collection. And here are mine too 🙂

I decided to feature both sets of the collection’s colour palette: the classic Christmas red and green and the very wintery blue and ecru.

For the first card I used a chipboard layered Christmas bauble as my focal element.

I layered the selected background papers and covered the bauble base with polka dot red sheet. Then I added the top filigree layer embossed with golden ep and decorated with a button and pearls. I also added the flower cluster to the top of the bauble:

The second card features a die-cut snowflake with a manger scene button:

To decorate it, I added a flower cluster with vintage seam ribbon bow and some postcards cut out from one of the papers. Various winter leaves and the snowflake are die-cut from glitter cardstock and they look like iced snow, glistening against the light! I also added some liquid pearls dots to imitate snow falling:

The cards are both a little dimensional, but will still fit into envelopes – perfect to mail to family and friends 🙂

And here’s what I used to create my cards:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Sizzix, Magnolia, Spellbinders; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: Wycinanka.pl; buttons: 3rd Eye; liquid pearls: Viva Decor.

Thank you for visiting today, drop by tomorrow for more inspiring projects!

Hello Maja friends!

It got cold, the first snow starts falling, icicles on the roofs and will make our world a little bit quieter and slower.
Winter time is sledding time too.
I loved that as I was a child, today I’m a ‘Frostbeule’ 😉
and what could be better than sitting in a small warm dreamy winter cottage
and watching the snow fall softly to the ground.

The children are romping in the snow and inside a fireplace crackles, wonderful!

Have a peaceful and relaxe advent season!

Winter greetings from Kerstin!
