Goodmorning sweeties,

When I got the new “Home for the Holidays”collection I instantly fell in love with the soft blue & red tones. This is such a lovely collection to work with. So today I will show you a layout I made with this stunning collection. Also I have a photo tutorial on how I made this layout but prepare yourself for a bomb of pictures. I normally just go ahead and make my layout’s but for this one I stopped and took shots in between.

These pictures were taken about four years ago when there was snow for the last time I was playing with the camera that’s why it has such a pretty blue glow.

Maja Design papers used: Family, Christmas Chorus, Never to old, Happy New Year & Together and the 6×6 paper pad

Here is my tutorial:

First I started by tearing a piece of the “Together”sheet so it got me one small piece and one large piece like in the pictures below then I inked the edges of my papers to later on stitch and distress them it’s always such a blessing to distress with Maja Design papers. For the square in the middle I took out my Martha Stweart Flourish Lace Punch and I knew I was going to place my pictures on there after I printed them out in a 14 cm by 6 cm size {5,5 inch by 2,4 inch}

This part I like best is choosing my flowers to go with the papers {and when I don’t have any in that specific color I make them myself but for this layout that wan’t necessary} Then I took out my 6×6 paper pad to matte my picture also I punch our a pretty lace die on the “Never to old”sheet in the 12×12 collection times 6 to go under need my teared parts like shown below.

Now I take out my mixed media products like paste, stamps, sprays and stencil. First I sprayed the “Happy New Year”sheet that’s the blue one with northern stars on it. The sprays I used are Sidewalk Chalk & Royal Peacock Fire by Lindy’s Stamp Gang. I also sprayed both colors on the “Together”sheet. Now I am ready to add my stencil{one manufactured by Prima sorry I don’t know the name} with Crackle Paste.

Here you see I am done with the sprays, paste and stamps. I will lift up the two creamed colored sheets with some double sided tape {about 1 mm} to get some depth in my layout. Now it’s time to embellish my layout yeahhh ;-)! Oops I almost forgot to tell you that in between I punched out some beautiful snowflake dies and a mittens die to go with the theme.

12

This is almost how I wanted my layout to be. Now I will glue down all my pieces using some hot glue, crackle accents and cheese cloth to spice up my flower clusters. At the end I sprayed some more sidewalk chalk over my flowers to be ending my layout with some snow touches. I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial and if you love this collection you can always visit my blog {I have a giveaway there} Thank you so much for your visit today and have a wonderful weekend.

Goodmorning lovelies,

I can’t say it enough but I just love to combine my Maja Papers with my Cheery Lynn Designs dies. So for this post it’s not a layout I created but I made a memory book for myself using the pretty “Vintage Autumn Basics”collection. I will add pictures of our wedding day back in 2012 to complete my book.

20151027_0830361

This is like a mini album where you can preserve all your precious pictures in {like wedding day’s, get away’s, birthday party’s etc.} For me I wanted to be all of my wedding pictures because I treasure the ones I have. Because there were not that many taken on our special day.

20151027_0831091

I am more of a layout kinda girl but this was super easy to make which I really like you can also make them in different sizes if you would like to. The album contains of seven sheets and this one is very girly I am going to make one for my husband too, the flowers are off course handmade which I love to do. This is the backside of my memory book.

Goodmorning to you lovely followers,

Today I would like to show you two boy’s layouts I made with two Maja Design collections such as the Nyhavn and Life by the Sea. On one layout I only used the Life by the Sea collection and on my other layout I combined the two. First layout is very clean and simple for me and it shows that you can definitely use flowers on a boy’s layout at least that’s what I think. This is a layout with pictures of our handsome boy “Kevin”

20150717_093737

Lately I just love to scrap the color orange and this collection has one of sheet in it which I use over and over. Because it’s such a rich orange color. Our boy doesn’t want to take pictures anymore but sometimes he makes his mom very happy and says mom “if you want to take pictures of me I am ready for it” I never say no at this point in his life.

For my second layout I have to tell you a little story. I couple of months ago my hubby and I went to pick up our boy from his parents because he slept over. My hubby went in military close what I really don’t like to walk next to but okay it’s his body right? So when I opened my mailbox the next day my father in law had send us a email with a adorable picture of him when he was just a little boy in a marine suit. So if you know me a little I had to scrap it.

20151016_084630

Aren’t they just the cutest little marines you’ve ever seen the lower picture is one of him and his brother my hubby’s uncle. I had so much fun scrapping these pictures. The blue flowers I made myself. That barb wire you see on the outside of my page is a awesome die by Cheery Lynn Designs. On the base {the gray sheet} I did some stamping, misting and pasting with a new design stencil by TCW called Mini Nautical Chains.

600x600

Well hello sweet Maja fans,

I am so happy you decided to visit the blog today. This time I’d like to share a couple of projects I made with several Maja Design paper collections, first up is my latest layout using the magnificent stencil designed by our very own Gabrielle “Moving Vines” they totally spice up your layout WOW. Thank you Gabrielle for creating such wonderful designs for us to use. Last week I heard some bad news my aunt from California {who is the wife to my grandfather’s brother} died and we now have a Facebook page of her memorial.  On that page they showed this wonderful picture that of course I had to scrap 😉 I am totally hooked on pictures like this, Aunt {Norma} Noor like we called her is the second on the right! This picture is dated back in the fourties. Amazing right??

For this layout I used the amazing “Vintage Autumn Basics” collection which still is one of my all time favorite collections by Maja Design. The flowers are handmade with a wonderful die by Cheery Lynn Designs {where I will be designing for again after being away to focus on my study where now I have my diploma for yeahhhh}

20151008_1612371
20151008_16140320151008_161243

This design is actually a design I made before using other papers from a different company but it totally came out differently. I used three layers as the base of my layout and then put some amazing Tresors de Luxe lace behind the tears to give it more dimension.

20151008_161228

After that I stamped and sprayed before pasting the moving vines on my page. Don’t you just love the clock sheet in this amazing collection you can just pop them out everywhere on your page, card & altered projects.

20151008_16123120151008_161434

I gave all my chipboard pieces a white finish to match the lace I used. At first I wanted to used flowers that I bought but that didn’t matched my papers as I had hoped. That’s what’s great about making your own flowers it’s really time consuming but hey it keeps me of the the streets right?? LOL……:-)

Today I’d also like to show you a card I made with the “Vintage Baby” collection. It’s a flip card I made for a baby boy. So I used the blue, cream, light brown tones in this collection. This was a super easy card to make because it’s made with a die, so you don’t have to measure it because it’s already in the size you need it to be. Does that make sense?

Look at that cute teddy bear and little shoes aren’t they adorable…if you would like to make this card I could give you the sizes just tell me in a comment and I will reply as quickly as I can.

Goodmorning lovely Maja fans,

Today i’d like to show a layout made with the wonderful new collection “Enjoying Outdoors” when I got my beautiful box yesterday I had to dig in and the papers smelled as good as they look :-). As maybe some of you know my favorite color is purple and this collection has {at least that’s what I think 😉 } every shade of purple in it! 20150925_084216This time I used a very old picture {back in the fifties} of my Grandfather and Grandmother although they are no longer among us I still believe they are together in after life. My handsome grandfather past away when I was only five years old. And my grandmother was the love of his life and the other way around. She stayed alone after him passing away until she past away January 2014.20150925_084053Lately I am more into mixed media so I love to use spray’s, paste’s & embossing powders, but I still love to add layers. Here in The Netherlands all scrapbook stores I know are more in to project life, misc me and art journal’s! Is it just me?? {not liking that kind of paper crafting}. I will just keep it at making layout’s and once in a while a card. What do you like to make??20150925_084102Don’t you just love these papers well I do very much. If you have the chance to buy them please do you will not be disappointed.20150925_084058 Maja Design papers used: Colourful, Gardening, Beautiful trees, Having tea in the sun, Garden creatures, Late summer flowers and I’m happyEnjoying-Outdoors-PThank you so much for visiting the blog today I hope you enjoyed my post and i’d like to wish you a wonderful weekend!
