Hi everyone. Sadly this is my last post for Maja Design.
I’m pregnant with baby #2 and my mind and body aren’t cooperating the way that I would like, so I’m taking a break from some of my scrapbooking commitments to try to get a little more rest.
For my last layout I have used the Nyhavn Collection to create a vintage style layout.

I used three papers from the Nyhavn collection to layer together and create my background. These papers were, The Sunny Side, A Dockside in Bloom & Kings Square.

I added white texture paste through a floral and diamond stencils.

I coloured my chipboard with Distress Ink in Hickory Smoke to match the colour of the King’s Square paper. Then I embellished with yellow, peach and grey flowers to compliment the papers.

Hi everyone, today I have 2 cards made with the  Summertime Collection.

The Summertime Collection has both gorgeous red and amazing blues. At the moment I am loving the blue tones in this collection.

To make these cards I used three pieces of paper – Summertime collections Glittering Water, Wind in My Hair and Cute Summer Dress.
I layered the three papers together and embellished with flowers, ribbon, lace and pearls.

Hi everyone. Today I have a new Maja Design creation for you.
In the weekend I was cleaning up the cupboards and found this box, I was the perfect size to alter.
I chose the Summertime (By The Sea) papers to turn this old box into a new storage container for my Sea Shells
I started by covering the box this white gesso to cover up the original colour.

Next I used the Gives Me Joy paper to cover the outside of the box, and Glittering Waves paper to cover the sides.

I cut two tags from the By The Sea Die Cuts paper to embellish the top. Then I added some metal pieces, flowers, ribbon, shells and liquid pearls to decorate my box.

I used the Gives Me Joy paper to cover the inside of the box, and the Glittering Waves paper on the inside of the lid. I then cut out the adorable image of a boy and girl at the beach from the Die Cuts paper to place inside.

Hi everyone. This week I’ve been playing with the new Summertime Collection, and I’m in love with it. This collection has the prettiest colours in it, but I chose to use the gorgeous Reds, Pinks and Creams to create this layout
I used the Garden Bouquet paper as my background, the only thing I did to this is add a doily shape with a stencil and white texture paste.
I used the Lets go for a Ride and Is Always the Best Papers to layer under my photo. To go amongst my layers I cut some shapes from the In The Garden Die Cuts paper and used a doily die on the Light Scarlet paper.
I added some flowers and used leaves die cut from the Greenery Paper. Plus I also tucked pieces of the title strip from the bottoms of the papers in too.

Hi everyone. Today I have a layout to share with you that I have made with the Vintage Romance Collection.
I had this photo of my Great Grandparents on their wedding day and thought that the Vintage Romance collection would be perfect for it.
The paper Love Poetry is one of my favourite pieces of paper ever, it is so gorgeous that it needed to be used as my background paper. I layered this piece on top of the Love is in the Air paper.
I added a little texture with brown and white texture paste and stencils, before I cut a line in the Love Poetry paper and used some water to curl back the edges.
I then cut shapes from the paper Love Notes to layer under my photo, I also used the bottom strips from the Love Poetry and Love is in the Air papers. Those strips are too pretty to throw away.
Finally I embellished this layout with chipboard clock pieces and flowers.
