Hi everyone! Nadia again with you today showing you my second project as part of my Design Team spot here at Maja Design.
Today I have used the beautiful blues and neutrals from Vintage Autumn Basics
Now I know it is almost Christmas but in my part of the world (Sydney , Australia) it is absolutely lovely as we are right at the beginning of Summer! YAY! So for this next layout I really wanted to use the blues from Vintage Autumn Basics so I dug deep into my childhood photos and came up with this one.
I cannot believe I am posting this online. My brothers will KILL me! LOL! But that is me in the middle, and my older brothers on each side. The other little boy is my cousin.
This is when I was about 3 and we left our small village in rural Greece to visit the BIG city of Piraeus near Athens in Greece! WOW.. I actually can remember this day.
“Circa 1981”
I decided to use “No. VIII” as a contrasting paper behind my base paper, which is the gorgeous “No. XXI”
Once I applied gesso all over the background of the No.XXI paper, I stamped some images in black Archival ink for more contrast.
The quote comes from the excess strip you cut off at the edge of the “No. XIII” paper. AWESOME idea!
I have also used some paper scraps and strips from the “No. VIII” paper to matt my photo.
I finished off my adding some Manor House Creations flowers, and some of my favourite embellishments.
Products Used:
Paper: Maja Design “Vintage Autumn Basics”
Flowers: All from Manor House Creations
Butterfly: Karlas Kreative Corner etsy shop
