Hello Maja Friends,

I hope you had wondeful time with your families and now you are hungry for crafting. While someone is enjoying the meals, the others are busy with cooking. So I made a recipe book for those who keeps the most delicious recipes in one place

CookBook_LifeIn_ElenaOlinevich_MMD

I made a soft fabric cover for it and made some sewing while attaching the papers.

I also made some pages inside, that I embellished with die cuts using Life in the Country collection

It has the summer feeling and reminds me about the riped fruits , the smell of the baked pies and homemade confiture.

I combined several patterns and here how they look inside the book

I mixed blue, green and red, I guess they work so well together

Good morning, Maja Fans, welcome to our blog 🙂

It’s Maja here to share a delicate flowery set that can be presented to a romantic lady on her birthday 🙂

mdbset

I used one of our older collections, Life in the Country, for its soft green and blue palette and small flowers and plaid patterns. I think they look so feminine and vintage together! The set consists of a notebook and a matching card. I chose a soft green lace and intricate heart charm to tie on to the wire:

I die-cut the label under the chipboard word and attached it with pearl brads – pearls always add elegence and chic 🙂 I also secured the corners with metal protectors:

I wanted to show all the beautiful patterns, so I added borders in various shapes to create interesting background on the cover:

I repeated the curly edge in the pocket for loose pages inside the notebook. I also included flower-frame printed pages to match the style:

To make a matching card, I decided to use the same papers I’d chosen for the notebook. And as I had only scraps of some of them, I went for a patchwork pattern background 🙂

I added a lot of mini roses to mimick the paper pattern and the same lace I used for the notebook:

I hope some romantic soul would be glad to receive such a set 🙂

Supplies:

Maja Design papers: Life in the Country: Summer fields, Kitchen garden, Summer breeze, Sowing seeds, Read a book. Other: chipboard: Scrapiniec, Magiczna kartka; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; brads: Craftmania; charm: Lemoncraft; metal corners, lace: from my stash.

See you soon!

Life In the Country
Hi everyone.  Jennifer Snyder here today making a rare appearance on the blog.  I am usually “behind the scenes” these days doing Social Media for Maja Design, but wanted to share my summer fun.  These are some cards I made using Maja’s Life in the Country.

Gosh this is such a classic, fresh fun summer collection.  When I look at it, I feel like having a picnic and celebrating with a plateful of strawberries ( I cannot lie, I’d like some dipped in chocolate too.)

Here is my first card – inspired after picking strawberries.  I looked at the papers and they made me feel like I was back outside in the sunshine with my basket.  One strawberry in my mouth and one in the basket…one more in my mouth and one more in the basket.  The best way to pick.
Life In the Country Card 1
This card features “In My Flower Bed” , “Kitchen
Garden” , and “In the Hammock”.  I also added a touch of raffia for a country look.

Super simple to make – lots of layers, add a touch of raffia, and top with die cut leaves, flowers, bow and wood embellie.
Life in the Country – Card 2
July in the United States is a time to celebrate the national colors.  I created a clean and simple card with a bit of a folk art design.

Life in the Country – Card 3

This card also has plenty of layers in neutral tones with the red from “Porch” paper popping some color into the card.  The neutral paper is called “Read A Book”.

Life in the Country – Card 4
My last card is also a bit of Americana

Hello Maja Design fans!
I hope you are having a wonderful time, especially if it’s vacation season for you! The project which I’m sharing today is made using one of the most summery MD collections-Life in the country. When you have it in your hands, it feels like a swedish summer.

With this card I would like to say thank you for the time we’ve spend together on this space. It’s also a good bye from my side…life just got too busy and I’m taking a break from all my DT commitments. Maja Design is such a wonderful company and keeps a special place in my heart. I’m sure you will see more of fantastic MD papers in my projects within a few months. But for now, the break feels like a right things to do…

Crate_Gabrielle_Pollacco_Maja_Design_view1s

Hello Maja fans! It’s Gabrielle here with you today to share a fun little ‘Thinking of You’ gift idea.  I found this cute little unfinished wooden crate at my local Dollar store and thought I would use some of the fresh pretty patterns in the Maja Design papers to dress it up to create a candle holder gift set.

Antligen

I used the ‘Naturen doftar’ paper from the ‘Antligen’ paper collection to cover the outside strips of the wooden crate.  I used a mixture of equal parts white glue and water to adhere my paper strips to the wooden crate.  I just love the sweet white dotted green paper for this, I think it gives the project an nice Spring feel to it.

For the inside of the box I used the pretty gingham design in the ‘Kitchen Garden’ paper from the ‘Life in the Country’ collection.  And for the middle/side walls I used the lovely script/floral paper that is on the reverse side of the Kitchen Garden paper.

For the front of the box I wanted to keep the clean lines of the box design so I didn’t over embellish the box, I just added a few paintable Prima Blooms, a twine bow and a Dusty Attic swirl chippie (Elegant Swirls#13), which I painted white and edges with some brown chalk ink (Ingvild Bolme’s Branch Bark).

I hope I’ve inspired you to pull out some of your favorite Maja Design papers to create a little gift to cheer a friend of yours!  Thanks so much for stopping by the Maja Design blog today, we love to hear your feedback on our projects! xo
