Hello sweet Maja fans..

Today it’s my turn again to give you some inspiration.

This time I bring you a card made with  the gorgeous papers of the vintage summer basics papers.

I love this collection , it’s certainly one of my favorite.

We had some very nice weather the last few days and everything in nature just exploded,  flowers everywhere and the air is filled with their sweet scent.

that inspired me to make this card bursting with and from flowers.

I used flowers from Wild orchid crafts , pins ,ribbon and brad are from my private stash.

Thank you very much for your visit, hope to see you again next time.

The good life

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new set of cards featuring the Vintage Summer Basics collection.

May cards by Pascale B.

Both cards were made the same way, only the flowers are different. I primed the background with clear gesso. Next, I added a design with a stencil and the Camouflage Effect Paste set.

While the paste was drying, I die cut some leaves and stems in a watercolor paper. I die cut also a doily in the 1914 paper.

I colored the leaves, stems and some flowers with inks.

I added some color to the background before gluing all the embellishments: paper, sisal, stems, leaves, flowers, and doily.

To finish the cards, I added some microbeads.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Vintage Summer Basic collection. And the cutie on the photo is my mom when she was 19 months old.

I stamped the background with two stamps and two Archival inks: one black, the other brown. Next, I primed the background paper with clear gesso.

I colored the background with different coral and brown inks. When dry, I added a design with a stencil and white crackle paste. I set it aside to dry naturally.

In the meantime, I die cut some leaves and flowers in a watercolor paper. I colored the leaves with brown and green inks and I kept the die cut flowers white.

I colored the edges of the petal’s roses with a coral ink. Then I sprayed water to allow the ink to fuse.

I cut a few papers to add under the photo. I glued some sisal before gluing papers and photo and all the embellishments.

To finish the layout, I added crystal glass beads and silver microbeads.

Hello, I'm Pascale B. from France. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition. Visit me at www.pbhobby.blogspot.com

Hello Maja Friends,

It’s my time to share April inspiration

This time I mixed the papers from different collections, I like to do it from time to time, especially when I have some leftovers after I have finished working on the album

My idea was to create 2 cards, and when you join them together as if they were the parts of the same puzzle.

I mixed Vintage Summer Basics and Life in the Country collections, so perfect for Spring – Summer projects

I miss so much these colors – blue and greens after the long winter

Hope that soon we can enjoy these colors .

Have a good week end
