Hello Maja Friends. A very Happy New year to all of you. I am happy to start my first post this year with a special mini album made for my friend’s Granny. And you may guess that it was such a pleasure to look at all these old precious photos and to read the story of one family.
I have chosen Vintage Summer Basics collection to create with, I think it is so perfect for such family history album.
There were many photos that my friend wanted me to include into the album. It was not simple, but I made several hidden pockets and placed some of the photos under each other.
I added lace, fabric trims and some embellishments that can remind you about those times
Some of the photos had some notes, so I scanned them and placed into the album too
just love this wooden prints on the paper, so perfect for black and white photos.
I didn’t want to use any extra mediums there, just some torn edges, fabric touches and beautiful papers
I was very busy while stitching papers, trims and string
some more ideas to hide your photos:
and finally the last page has a pocket for any extra photos or cherished things
Hope you have liked my album and you have got some more ideas to create your family album.
Hi ! Flo here, i’m back as promised to show you a new project. A mini album made with the gorgeous « Walking in the forest » collection. The « Die cut sheet » paper with a lots of design allows to enhance the pages of the mini album.
Here are the pictures of my mini album, « The Mushroom picking ».
Here are a few tips for creating this mini album.
First here’s a little tip for the layout of your pages. If you are a little lost when you make a mini album and want to more easily create a uniform and balanced project I suggest you do like me.
Cut several papers, labels and gather some coordinated embellishments. Then place your different pages in front of you and place your embellishments here and there.
Move your items until everything looks balanced. Then place your photos and paste everything.
To make the leaves I firstly printed on internet the shape and then I tracings on paper. Then just add an eyelet.
Finally, here is a simple way to showcase the beautiful drawing of this beautiful collection from Maja Design. Cut out the design of your choice and place it in a metal embellishments with an epoxy sticker.

Our September Mood Board has an autumn theme, full of fresh air and colours. So grab those boots, pack some coffee and take a stroll in the woods…And here’s a little reminder of what our Mood Boards are used for…
Definition mood board – n
a board used by designers on which samples of various colours and textures are mounted to help in deciding which elements complement each other
We are using Mood Boards for our challenges. We truely believe in creativity and art at Maja Design. You are free to interpret the Mood Boards in any way you’d like. They are supposed to set you in an inspirational mood without too much controlling. We would like you to be inspired by the poems, words and photos. They are not given rules, they are just there as inspiration. A jury will pick a winner and will consider how the colours and theme were used. All Mood Boards are inspired by a specific Maja collection, but you are free to use any Maja papers you’d like as long as they follow the colour scheme.
We are presenting a new mood board the first Tuesday of every month. We will be presenting all participating creations that fulfill the requirements below September 24th. We will also draw a winner who will be winning a Maja Design collection of their own choice in 6×6 or 12×12.
After your creation is done, take a photo and send it to moodboard@majadesign.nu without any watermarks (size 600×600). Include your full name and address +phone number in the e-mail together with what collection you would like if you win. Don’t forget to write down if you would like 6×6 or 12×12. We need your creation September 22nd at the latest.

This collection of papers is so inspiring. I have already thought of how I would use these papers. I have 4 granddaughters and the pink pallet is perfect. As I was looking at these papers I was thinking how much they feel like home, comfortable, relaxing, soothing. Seems how I can not get Maja Design here I would be Honored to win and show off your papers to so many and to as many scrapbook stores that I can to see if they could carry them. I had just spoke with Gabrielle at Such A Pretty Mess just a couple of weeks ago about how I love all the paper lines at Maja Design. Hope you consider me. I’ll be waiting by my computer.

Seriously … this isn’t going to be one of those ‘I want collections’ it is going to be an ‘I need’ collection, actually to be honest … more like ‘I have to have’ … absolutely s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g. and some … it’s gorgeous.

Yay!! Thanks again for an opportunity to pick up some beautiful Maja paper! I’m still trying madly to buy ANY Maja paper, let alone limited edition! So special, loving the damask and script along with the beautiful old fashioned roses. Just looking at Maja paper relaxes me. So sweet and delicate. Down here in Australia is a big struggle to get your hands on it. I have found a couple of online stockists but still unable to receive supplies for one reason or another. Can’t wait to be able to use this gorgeous paper xx
Big congratulations to you all! Please e-mail your physical address+phone number to moodboard@majadesign.nu, mark the subject “Sofiero winner”. We will send out the collection as soon as it’s printed.
Our July Mood Board is about the lazy days by the coast line. Listen to the seagulls, feel your skin burn and just enjoy the good days of life. It’s based on the Life By The Sea collection and I hope you’ll like it.
