Hi everyone! I am back with a tag this time. And of course with the gorgeous  new papers, and this time in more pinkish tones.

I have added white gesso and Frantage on the papers. The postmark stamps are from Stempelglede. The image is from Magnolia. The image is coloured with Distress Ink, re-inkers and Markers on the Langton paper.

I have cut out the text and the glasses with Maja papers.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I have added some frantage which I have melted, on the roses.

The sentiment on the tag is from Stempelglede.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design blog today!

Here are the papers used:

With love,

29, you said?? ;)

Hi everyone! Today I am back with an easel card. I have used one of my favorite collections for my card, the Denim & Friends collection. The card was made for a colour challenge at the Norwegian card magazine Ett Trykk, with the colours mint and turquoise. I tried to find some suitable Maja papers to fit the challenge.

The cute image is from Magnolia and the Denim Collection, and I have coloured it with Distress Ink, re-inkers and Markers. The dies used are also from Magnolia.

The texts are from Ett Trykk.

Under you can view the card from the side. I made it for my friend’s 40th anniversary.

I have made the flowers myself. I have placed them both on the upper part of the card, and on the lower part. So when it is open, it looks like the flowers are together in a way.

Want to see how they are made? Here I have some photos from the making.

I lay the flowers down on a newspaper, and spray them with water (the flower dies are from Magnolia).

Then I curl them up, and let them to dry.

When they are dry, I curl them up again, and place them together with some Wild Orchid Crafts stamens in the middle. Here comes a list of papers used:

A very good morning to you, dear Visitors to the Maja Design blog 🙂

The summer is coming to an end, but we shouldn’t let our spirits go down! Today I have two birthday cards to share, and their common element is the blue palette and a motif connected with flying high above 🙂

The first one features an angel wing in the flower cluster:

I layered papers from the Vintage Frost collection, placed the sentiment stamp with a button in the centre and surrounded it with flowers and leaves. I also added some pearl brads and liquid pearls.

The central motif of the second card is an air balloon surrounded by flowers:

I used scraps of the Vintage Romance papers to make a shabby patchwork background, placed the chipboard layered balloon upon it and decorated it with mini roses and crystal flourishes.

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other:

button: Lemoncraft; chipboard: Scrapiniec; flowers: Prima, my stash; flourishes: Prima; mold: Prosvet; die: my stash

So, what do you think about my cards? I really like the way they turned out 🙂 See you soon!

Good morning, Maja friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Last time I shared my first layout(s) using the fabulous Denim&Friends collection, and I said I couldn’t stop cutting 😉

Masculine projects are usually difficult, even if you’re surrounded by boys 😉 But with this collection is just pure pleasure! Not only do you get a dozen of beautiful “masculine” patterns, but also a sheet full of men in jeans! 😉 I used two of those images to make two birthday cards for men. The first one is for a musician:

mdmasculine1

I layered several patterns in the background and added linen ribbon before I placed a guitar man image. Then I added screw-shaped brads and a music notes paper clip that can be detached and used for keeping music sheets together 🙂

mdmasculine4

I die-cut the sentiment and matted it with glitter cardstock, then added a piece of signature strip from one of the papers:

mdmasculine2

The other card is an 18-th birthday card:

I again layered some various patterns and placed the image on top, adding a metal charm on a piece of linen string. Then I added die-cut digits and some metal pointers:

mdmasculine5

I used the same die for the sentiment, but this time I didn’t mat it and it’s readable through the contrast between papers:

mdmasculine6

I am really pleased with the result – what do you think?

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: die: Rosy Owl, Memory Box; metal pointers: Making Memories; brads: Rayher; paper clip: Prima; acrylic gems: ScrapBerry’s; star charm, string, linen ribbon: my stash.

See you soon!

Hi there! First of all I would like to congratulate the Norwegian people with their National Day today! Happy 17. th of May! We will go for a parade in the streets with our national costumes, waving the flags and shout out hurrays. And the children get to eat as much ice cream as they can manage:)

I have made a birthday card for you today, with the beautiful Sofiero papers.

Sofiero-P1

The letters and numbers are cut out with a word die from Sizzix.

The image is from Magnolia and I have coloured it with Distress Inks.  I have stamped the image and text with Memento-Rich Cocoa. I have melted some FranTage around the image and added Liquid Pearls. On the flowers I have added Crackle Accent. The text is from Stempelglede.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the dies used are DooHickeys from Magnolia. I have inked all the edges with Distress Ink pad – Walnut Stain. And they are sewed on my sewing machine.
