Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Easter is coming soon, so it’s high time to share some card inspiration for the occasion 🙂 For my first cards this year I chose spring flowery backgrounds to emphasize the joy of this important celebration!

I made both cards using the Miles Apart collection that with its beautiful patterns and cheerful soft colours is just perfect for the purpose 🙂

For the first cards I used the green-white-gold combo, with the Easter Lamb as the focal point, and added some mini flowers to match the flowers in the background paper:

For the second card I added some juicy pink magenta to the colour palette and decorated the stamped and embossed Easter song quotation with chipboard filigree Easter eggs and mini flowers cluster:

I really love how the papers accent the character of the holiday, and adding gold to cheerful green and pink gave the cards elegant festive look.

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: CreaLies; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; stamps, chipboard, ep: Agateria.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you soon!

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Easter is just around the corner, it’s high time to send out some cards to friends and family, especially now that many countries, Poland included, entered lockdown yet again and we won’t be able to travel and meet our close ones. So today I bring you two cards to inspire you to send out Easter wishes 🙂

I used the Miles Apart collection for my cards. The first one is a patchwork Easter egg card:

I first applied a stencil frame upon a layered background and then placed an egg decorated with pieces of papers. Patchwork patterns are very decorative and useful ways to utilise even smallest bits of paper leftovers, and they are a great fun to make! Easy enough to create with your kids too!

For the second card I embossed a stamped “stained glass” image of Christ Risen, hand-coloured it with Distress inks and placed upon a delicate damaska background. I also used a piece of the signature strip from one of the papers as a decorative border.

I tried to make several layers for each card yet still keep them flat enough to go into an enevelope.

Here’s what I used to make the cards:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Marianne Design, X-cut, CreaLies, Craft&You Design; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; stamps, stencil: Agateria; acrylic pearls: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting! I also wish you a very happy Easter, filled with joy and hope for better times!

Happy Easter

Hello sweet Maja Fans.

Lenet here today  and I bring you this Happy Eastercard.

I hope you and your loved ones are safe from this nasty virus , and wish the ones who caught it a safe and quick recovery.

To bring you a little happy nesss I made you this card. Using the Vintage spring collection.

I did some stitching around the edges with my sewing machine. I always love the look of it.

At the back of the centerpiece a added a glittered frame from tattered angels.  and some cisal to make a little nest look.

A big soft yellowbow to compleet it all .

The flowers are from my own stash.

I used  a piece of strip from the vintage spring 2nd of March for the sentiment on my card.

with this card I wish you all a Happy Easter and stay safe..

Happy Easter

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today!

Although Easter is supposed to be the most joyful celebration of the year, this year is different. We’re globally suffering from the pandemic and the feelings of joy, happiness and the glory of life through Christ’s resurrection seem distant and muted by the invisible virus and restrictions it put over our everyday life. But if we are to overcome this, we must stay strong! We must take care of ourselves and of others by – paradoxical as it is – distancing from them and not endangering anybody with unnecessary contact. Therefore I decided NOT to send Easter cards this year – so that post workers are safer and my family and friends as well. And that’s why I made just one card for this season and will be sending a photo of it with my wishes:

I made the card using the latest Maja collection, Little Street Cafe and used the largest X-cut dies to give it an egg form – just love making paper Easter eggs! 🙂

Although I make egg cards each year, I nonetheless try to include a different symbol every time. This year I decided to use the Paschal candle. It represents the light of  the risen Christ coming to the world, the light that dispels darkness, and the victory of life over death. Isn’t it a perfect symbol for these gloom days?

I decorated the Paschal with lilies – symbols of love, purity and resurrection and catkins – popular elements of Polish Easter palms. I embossed the stamped sentiment with gold ep and added some sequins for more festive glam.

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: X-cut, I Love Craft, Crat&You Design; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; stamp: Lemonade; sequins: my stash.

And so this is the card that I won’t be sending to anyone, but to everyone! 🙂 With heartfelt wishes of peace, blessing and joy to fill your hearts and homes.

Happy Easter!

Good morning, dear Maja friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Last Sunday we celebrated the most important Christian holiday of the year, the Resurrection of Christ. And of course I made some cards for the occasion 🙂 So today I bring you two cards shaped like Easter eggs, my favourite card form for this holiday:

For my cards I used the Celebration collection – nomen omen 🙂 I really like the blue-lilac combo, it looks so spring-fresh to me and I thought it would look good on spring-holiday cards.

Both cards have the same design – I layered selected papers to make the background for the focal image of the Lamb:

I added some flowers matching the colour palette and to emphasize the joyful, festive character of the cards I added some gold details: die-cut sentiment and catkin twogs and a glitter trim around the edges:

I really like how they turned out, dimensional yet still flat enough to go into an envelope 🙂

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamp: Lemonade; dies: Rosy Owl, X-cut, Craft&You; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; sequins, string: my stash.

I hope you had a wonderful Easter time celebration, filled with love and peace!

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you soon!
