Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today π
February is in full bloom and St. Valentine’s Day approaching quickly π And since cards play a major role in this holiday, IΒ bring you two samples for inspration:
I made both cards using the Miles Apart collection and focused on blending my embellishments into the background papers. And so, in the first card I cut the paper so that the top of the printed house is visible, and arranged die cut motives of clouds and a balloon so that they look as if floating above the house. Then I filled the remaining space with die cut letters that I arranged like a crossword puzzle, and mini heart sequins:
In the other card I incorporated the flower cluster into the bouquet printed in the background paper. The flowers, both printed and dimensional, are a subtle companion to the glitter foam heart with toothpick handles π I finished the card off with a stamped sentiment and opalescent sequins:
And here’s what I used:
Maja Design papers:
Other: flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; dies: My Favourite Things, Marianne Design, Little B; stamp: Agateria; punches: DpCraft; sequins: my stash.
That’s all for today, thank you for visiting ans see you soon!
