Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

For a couple of years newborn photoshoots have been immensely popular and no wonder they have – babies grow up so fast and we have just a couple of weeks to take such photos, which makes them even more precious. I regret that when my kids were born such photoshoots were rare, but it makes me so happy when I have a chance to scrapbook a photo of such a tiny human being ๐Ÿ™‚ Here’s one such layout I made:

I used a mixture of collections to match the blue shades of the photo, and combined it with soft beige and gold for a delicate baby layout.

First, I applied the stars pattern upon the background paper using a stencil, and when the pearl paste was dry, I added gold metallic stars over some of the stars:

I arranged the title by mixing chipboard letters with a piece of a signature strip from one of the papers:

I used some more pieces from signature strips as a kind of journaling:

…or as a decorative border across the page ๐Ÿ™‚

To finish the layout off, I used scraps of various papers to make a banner garland under the photo:

I really love the way the layout turned out, soft and gentle like the baby sleeping in the photo ๐Ÿ™‚

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stencil, stamps, embossing powder, chipboard: Agateria; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; star punch: DpCraft

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you soon!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

Just like last time, today I bring you a Baptism inspiration, but this time I created a delicate baby girl exploding box:

For the box I combined the Celebration and Miles Apart collections, choosing some deliate floral patterns and neutral backgrounds:

I decorated the lid with a stamped and embossed sentiment and a flower cluster:

When you remove the lid, the box opens to reveal the inside:

I decorated the inned walls with die-cut motives, flower compositions and some stamped wishes. To add some glam, I used acrylic gems and iridescent sequins:

In the centre I put a box including a jewellery gift, but replaced the original box lid with a handmade one decorated with a die-cut doily and a signature strip pieces ๐Ÿ™‚ The box is tied with ribbon that is attached to the exploding box bottom – this way you can remove the gift box without having to rip it off ๐Ÿ˜‰

I think exploding boxes are best when you need to include a small gift or money – they work as both a card and gift box ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Agateria, Lemonade; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; dies: Craft&You Design, Cheery Lynn Dies; gems: Marianne Design; ribbon: Rayher; sequins, string: my stash.

That’s all for today, see you next time!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

due to the world pandemic many celebrations have been cancelled or postponed. Traditionally, the First Communions month in Poland is May, but since the restrictions have gradually been lifted onyl recently, the season is only beginng now. And this year we have two kids from our family who will receive their Fisrt Communion and so I made cards form them.

I made the card for my husband’s goddaughter using the Little Street Cafe collection, from which I selected mauve purple papers for a bit of colour. I added a stamped girl image and coloured her so that she has the same dark hair as Amelia. I used a beautiful filigree chipboard host matted with gold metallic circle and a flower cluster beneath:

I completed the design with die-cut grapes and vine leaves and added some subtle shine with opalescent sequins:

I used the same card design for my husband’s nephew First Communion card:

He’s blonde, so I coloured the stamped boy image blonde too. I used the sky blue and neutral papers from the Celebration collection:

I like the way the cards turned out: simple but elegant, dimensional but still fitting into an envelope.

Here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Whiff of Joy; chipoard: Scrapiniec; dies: Spellbinders, CreaLies; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and don’t forget to drop by soon for more inspiration!

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

Although the pandemic caused closure of schools worldwide, it doesn’t mean studying stopped as well (but perhaps pupils aren’t so happy about it ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). And of course it doesn’t mean teachers stopped working. Running online classes is no less demanding and many claim they spend even more time getting the lessons ready than at school. Most students in Poland won’t be returning to schools before the summer break, but they still want to express their gratitude towards their techaers who help them deal with this difficult situation we’re all in. And so I made two cards thay say “Thank you!”:

They are larger than my usual cards, measuring 15×20 cm (so twice the regular size), I guess these pupils are particularly grateful! ๐Ÿ™‚ One is for the headmaster:

…and the other for a Polish language teacher:

Theย  card for the headmaster features the Little Street Cafe collection and a hand-coloured stamped images of an owl and some books that I also heat-embossed with gold ep. I added a flower cluster and die cut sentiment:

For the Polish language teacher card I used the Celebration collection. The focal point is a book I made from scraps of paper and decorated with flowers made from foamiran and an embossed chipboard sentiment. I also added a beautiful letter-patterned ribbon to look like a bookmark going across the card:

I hope the teachers would like the cards as much as I liked working on them!

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Lemonade, Agateria; dies: Leane Creatief, Nellie Snellen, Marianne Design; flowers: Prima, handmade; chipboard: Wycinanka.pl; embossing powder: Blue Fern Studios; enamel dots: DP Craft; border punch: EK Success; ribbon: Eight.pl.

That’s all for today, stay healthy at home, and see you soon!

Good morning, dear Maja friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

March is the traditional month for Confirmations in Poland, but due to the pandemic everything has been affected and many events have been cancelled or delayed. And so I’m sharing this Confirmation card today, almost two months later than usual ๐Ÿ™‚

I used the Celebration collection to make the card. I think these patterns and colours make it look both girly and elegant:

I layered the papers and placed a chipboard dove combined with a gold metallic matting circle in the centre.

The layers are shaped in curves which add both interest and subtle lightness to the card design:

I added handmade foamiran flowers in matching colours and iridescent sequins as the finishing touch:

The card is dimensional so I also decorated the card box to match.

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Leanne Creatief, Spellbinders; chipboard: Scrapiniec; foamiran, flower stems, ribbon, sequins: my stash.

I really like the delicate but at the same time festive look of the card! What do you think?
