Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Can you believe how fast time flies? We only began the school year yesterday and we’re saying goodbye to the classmates and teachers tomorrow! This was such a strange year both for students and teachers and parents! and I think all of them are happy to take two months of rest. But I also think it’s especially important to express thanks to those who took so much time and effort to keep teaching the kids at their homes and continue the educational progress despite the pandemic. And so it was with great pleasure that I made these cards:

I used the beautiful Tropical Garden collection to make the summer theme even more dominant 🙂 I added some typical “school” motives such as the stamped book piles and the metal owl charms and combined them with flower bouquets and chipboard keys (as we have a saying in Polish: “Study hard, child, because knowledge is the key to power”). There’s also some handwriting stencil pattern in the background.

I do hope that students, teachers and parents too will have the well-deserved rest during the summer!

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamp, stencil, chipboard: Agateria; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; die: Nellie’s Choice, charms: my stash.

That’s all for today, see you soon!

Good morning, dear Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Autumn is the season mostly associated with the beginning of another school year and with celebrating Teacher’s Day – in Poland it comes on October 14th. And for that occasion I made a set of two cards using the Miles Apart collection:

The cards share the same design, with stamped, embossed and hand-coloured images of books and pencils that I arranged into a pile and topped with chipboard feathers. I placed this combo upon a background composed of triangular pieces of papers. I finished the cards with a stamped quotation and mini flowers. One of the cards features green, brown and orange papers of the collection and I thought it would make a great card for a man:

For the other card I used the colour combo of green and pink patterns, so that it’s more feminine and delicate:

I simply love the versatility of this collection, suitable for such a wide range of themes and projects!

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Lemonade, Agateria; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts, chipboard: Miszmasz Papierowy; bling: Papermania.

That’s all for today, thank you very much for visiting and drop by soon for more inspiration from my talented friends from DT 🙂

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Although the pandemic caused closure of schools worldwide, it doesn’t mean studying stopped as well (but perhaps pupils aren’t so happy about it 😉 ). And of course it doesn’t mean teachers stopped working. Running online classes is no less demanding and many claim they spend even more time getting the lessons ready than at school. Most students in Poland won’t be returning to schools before the summer break, but they still want to express their gratitude towards their techaers who help them deal with this difficult situation we’re all in. And so I made two cards thay say “Thank you!”:

They are larger than my usual cards, measuring 15×20 cm (so twice the regular size), I guess these pupils are particularly grateful! 🙂 One is for the headmaster:

…and the other for a Polish language teacher:

The  card for the headmaster features the Little Street Cafe collection and a hand-coloured stamped images of an owl and some books that I also heat-embossed with gold ep. I added a flower cluster and die cut sentiment:

For the Polish language teacher card I used the Celebration collection. The focal point is a book I made from scraps of paper and decorated with flowers made from foamiran and an embossed chipboard sentiment. I also added a beautiful letter-patterned ribbon to look like a bookmark going across the card:

I hope the teachers would like the cards as much as I liked working on them!

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Lemonade, Agateria; dies: Leane Creatief, Nellie Snellen, Marianne Design; flowers: Prima, handmade; chipboard: Wycinanka.pl; embossing powder: Blue Fern Studios; enamel dots: DP Craft; border punch: EK Success; ribbon: Eight.pl.

That’s all for today, stay healthy at home, and see you soon!
