Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new set of cards featuring one of my favorite collection Enjoying Outdoors.

Lavender Card by Pascale B.

Making cards is a good way to get rid of all the leftovers of papers you have accumulated over the past months or should I say years. I don’t know how you keep them, but I found that keeping them in a pocket with the collection is the best way to use them. When I was first starting scrapbooking I put all the leftovers together, but when I wanted one, well, I never found the right one! Now I know that if I don’t find it, it’s because I don’t have it and I will have to cut some beautiful paper! Let see how I made these cards!

Lavender Card by Pascale B.

Even if both cards look different, the way I made them is the same. First, I chose in my leftover from the Enjoying Outdoors collection, which one I could use. When I didn’t find the right one, My next move is to look in the 6×6 paper pad.

When I found all the scraps of paper I needed, I inked the edges to add some contrast before gluing them directly to the card base.

I die cut some leaves in two green papers from the collection and I inked the edges.

Then I added a few flowers.

On this card, I even added some lavender sprigs from my garden. To prevent them from falling apart when they dried, I covered them with gel medium.

And to finish the layout of the cards I added some microbeads.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Denim and Friend collection. I chose another photo montage I’ve made. Oh I completely forgot to tell you that we have been specially sponsored by Petaloo by FloraCraft this week.

The Duncaire Sperm Whale by Pascale B.

As usual, I primed the background with clear gesso. I mixed some Magical powder with 3D Glos gel to obtain a teal paste. I used this paste with a stencil to add a design on the background.

While the background was drying I colored some chipboard with different waxes. I cut some leaves in a watercolor paper that I painted with different inks.

I added some colors to the background that match the colors of the photomontage.

I cut a few paper to add under the photo and I glued some beautiful flowers from Petaloo along with the leaves I’ve die-cut.

To finish the layout I splattered some Glimmer Glam and I added some micro beads.

Hello Sweeties,
Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new project made with the Denim and Friends collection. I created a mini mini-album that can fit in a 6×6 envelope! How cool is that to be able to send a mini with the photos taken during a girl’s night to a dear friend, the photos of your baby to a relative who is far away, …?

As I tell you this mini fits in a 6 x 6 envelope. I use two brads to keep the mini album close.

I use the bands at the bottom of the Denim and Jeans papers to add some decorations as I want to keep the mini as flat as possible.

The mini has a few pockets where you can put your photos.

In the middle, I add two pages but you can add more if you want.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Denim and Friends collection. I chose a photomontage. Perhaps you will recognize the castle of Brissac from a previous layout?

The Brissac Tortoise by Pascale B.

As usual, I primed the background with clear gesso. Then I added a design with a stencil and a white crackle paste. When dry, I painted the background with a blue Sparks paint and some blue Twinkling H2Os.

While it dried again, I die-cut some leaves in a watercolor paper. I colored them as well as a few flowers with differents Twinkling H2O.

I cut a few papers to add under the photo. I added the flowers, the leaves, and some metallic embellishments.

When happy with the result, I added some micro beads and some bigger beads. I glued also some jump rings.

To finish the layout, I added another design with a Distress Oxide ink that I sprayed with water.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Denim and Friends collection. I chose a photo I created.

The Elfant by Pascale B.

I primed the background with clear gesso. When dry I added a design with a stencil and black gesso. Then I sprayed two shades of inks through a second stencil. Then I added some splatters with two Magicals.

The Elfant by Pascale B.

While the background was drying, I sprayed the chipboard with the same inks.I dried them before applying some Platinum Crackle Paste.

The Elfant by Pascale B.

I added a last design to the background with a third stencil and Platinum Crackle Paste. I colored some flowers as well as some leavesI’ve die-cut in a watercolor paper.

The Elfant by Pascale B.

When happy with the result, I glued all the embellishments: chipboards, flowers, and leaves with a 3D gel.

To finish the layout I added some mica flakes and micro beads.
