Hi there! For the baptism of little Maximilian I made the place cards out of plaster. I will now show you how I decorated them.
I bought the plaster and the heart shaped plaster molds at Panduro Hobby.

005
The first I did was to glue on some gothic papers from an old book. I let it stay on a bit, then I ripped it off, so that the letters on the back side stayed on the heart.

006
I brushed on some Glue n’ seal.

008
Then put the paper on.

041
After the paper is ripped off I put on White Gesso and Frantage – Shabby White.

045
I have used the White Gesso as glue for the frantage.

048
And melted the powder with my Heat Gun.

050
I have also put on some spots with Crackle Paint – Picket Fence, so that the heart gets the old rustic look.

052
Here are some of them.

064
The names of the people invited are written on my computer and printed out on the pattern paper: 6st of March from the Vintage Spring Basics Collection.

066
I glued on some flowers (Frost Frappe-Prima, and Cherry Blossom-WOC). The glue I use is called Tacky Glue.

067
I cut out the names, and ink all the edges with alnut Stain – Distress Ink pad.

068
I also bend the paperstrip with a brush.

069
Glue it on the heart, and add some Crackle Paint-Rock Candy.

072
I have cut out the butterflies from the paper called 6st of May, also from the Vintage Spring Basics Collection. I have chosen all the blue ones.

078
The butterflies are glued on with Tacky Glue. And I have also added some Stickles – Star Dust on the wings.

084
Here they are finished.
Under I will show you some close ups of several of the place cards.

Hello and Happy Sunday.  I hope you are able to relax a little today.  Jennifer Snyder here to show you a piece I created using the new collection, Vintage Autumn Basics.

Wedding Photo small

This is a layout using the wonderful Vintage Autumn Basics.  This is a photo from my friend’s wedding.  She wanted me to scrap for her but I had to wait for the perfect papers to cross my desk before I could scrap it.  You know how that goes.

When the Vintage Autumn Basics collection arrived, I let her thumb through the collection and pick the papers she liked best.  Hard choice for sure.

The most wonderful part of this collection is that it can be used for any type of layout you want to create – so very versatile.

I found a jewelry piece that reminded me of the necklace she wore on her wedding day to use as the center of my cluster.  I also added some masking on this piece using a stencil and super heavy gesso.

The Maja Design papers have the most wonderful paper strips on the bottom of each page.  Have you ever noticed?  I used the strip of the bottom of Vintage Autumn Basics  XXIII BAS646.  It says “A time forever etched in our hearts and memories. ”  Perfect for a wedding layout.
