Memories

Hi there paper friends. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I have a layout to share with you where I have used both the “Vintage Spring & Summer Basics” paper collections. I have to say I am really enjoying working with the Maja Design paper collections because they all mix & match so brilliantly together. Makes our job as scrapbookers so easy !!!

memories-003

I have cut this word “Memories” from the Vintage Summer Basics “Memories” paper to use as my title. This particular paper has all sorts of great tags, words, postcards & all manner of ephemera that are perfect for cutting out to use as embellishments etc.

I have also cut some tags & labels out of that same paper & I have used them to create some great layers both at the top & sides of my photo. In the above photo you can also see the gorgeous “1926” paper as well as the reverse side of “Memories” papers, both from the Vintage Summer Basics collections. These two papers compliment each other beautifully.

For my background I have used the “1st of April” paper which is from the Vintage Spring Basics collection. I just love that little bird in the top right corner too. I adore the subtle details of this paper. Perfect background choice. All of the chipboard I have used, including this gorgeous screen are from 2Crafty Chipboard.

Here you can see a close up of the detail I have added in the corner of my layout. On the background, if you look closely, you will see I have added some gauze which I adhered with a gel medium before stencilling over the top of it to create some wonderful texture. I have also added some Olive Vine Glimmermist for added colour as well as a little background stamping.

Well thats all from me today, I will see you back here again in a few weeks with another project. Until then.

Hello there, Maja Fans!

I’m so glad you stopped by our blog today 🙂

How many of you have asked yourselves at the beginning of this month: “2016?! When has that 2015 gone already?!” I surely did ask myself that question many times, and particularly when I was organising my photo folders the other day. Comparing photos, especially of kids, really reminds you of the fact that time does fly and we should try to do our best not to waste it. I immediately thought of the Vintage Autumn Basics collection which is all about time 🙂 And here is my layout about time passing:

mdtime

I first layered some scraps to mat the photos. I inked and distressed all the edges to get a more vintage look and add some dimension at the same time.

mdtime1

I added my photos: the more recent one is the main photo, and the older one is in the beautiful chipboard frame. I still can’t believe how much my younger son has changed in just one year!

mdtime2

I added a couple of flowers and filled the spaces with cut-out clockfaces:

To complete my design, I cut out several balloons and added them by the ones printed in the photo. I mounted them on 3D dots too to add some dimension and perspective.

Though I’m not so happy about how fast my kids grow up, I do like the  way this layout turned out 😉

Supplies:

Maja Design papers: Vintage Autumn Basics: no. XIII, no.VIII BS, no.XIV, no.XVI, no.XVII, no.XVII BS, no.XXI, no.XXIII, Heritage. Other: flowers: Prima; chipboard: Scrapiniec.

See you soon!

Hi Maja fans.

Today I have a layout to share with you that I made with the Vintage Autumn Basics Collection. I love these vintage collections for scrapping my vintage photos

Maja - Perfect Moment 1

For the Background I used the Vintage Autumn Basics papers No V and No X.  I ripped the top from the No X paper, then layered the other side of the No X paper underneath. Next I glued these onto the No V paper before I added some texture with Modeling paste and a stencil.

Maja - Perfect Moment 2

I cut the papers No IV and No XVII into pieces to layer under my photo, I distressed all the edges and inked them with Distress ink in Vintage Photo. This is a photo of my Great Grandmother on her wedding day with my Grandmother as a girl.

Maja - Perfect Moment 3

I added a little colour to the papers using Gelatos in pink, peach and brown. For my title I used a chipboard title that I coloured with two colours of embossing powder.

Maja - Perfect Moment 4

Next I added some random stamping, then I finished the layout off by adding a generous amount of flowers and embellishments

Welcome to the Maja blog today..!

My absolute favorite among the Maja collections has became one of the latest ones – Enjoying Outdoors. I think it’s a really wonderful collection with just the right colours for my taste. I think it’s almost like a combine of Ska Vi Ta En Fika? and Walking in the Forest – two of our most popular collections, so maybe it’s no wonder that I completely have fallen in love with this one.. I would really like to know which of our collections that is your personal favorite? Please tell me in the comment field. 🙂 Who knows, maybe you’ll get the chance to receive some samples from your favorite collection.. 😉

This an altered shoe I made with papers from Enjoying Outdoors. I have a thing for shoes, I always had – so making this project was so much fun! I just love shoes, wearing them and buying new ones – and my husband is crazy with me and really can’t understand my everlasting crush for new ones – even though my stash is already full.. I guess it’s a guy thing, right – because you’ll understand? 😉

I wanted to keep this project quite simple and clean with not to much accessories taking over. First I crumpled and wet the papers and then dried them with an iron, to make it more easy to work with.

Now, I only need to do another one, just like this.. Or maybe I just go with a new colour on the next one, it’s more fun I think. It’s not like I ever is going to wear this shoes anyway so.. 😛 They will have their special place on my shelf.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today! Hope you’ve enjoyed this.

See you soon!

Hello dear Maja Friends, Evgenia Petzer here with you today. I have made this birthday card using the lovely Coffee in the Arbour collection that I absolutely love. I love those muted shades of yellow that it has in it.

I decide to go with warm palette, because the card had some yellow shades cause of the paper and as well as the central wooden piece also is in this color scheme

I have  hand-stitched all the buttons, I love that personal touch that this little effort gives to my creations.cupcake_coffee_in_the_arbour_maja_design_card_by_petzer_det2 Lots of layering, fussy cutting and die cuts on this cardcupcake_coffee_in_the_arbour_maja_design_card_by_petzer-det3I have used the Coffee in the Arbour collection for my card, absolutely love the yellow shade that it has.
