Hello everyone 🙂

Today it is finally time to share my first project created with the new collection to Maja Design, Summertime <3

This is a delightful series of sheets that remind us of the summer. It brings up memories and makes us think about what we will do this summer. I have used the new sheets to decorate a small bottle with Champagne, placed it in a wheel barrow and the only thing I can think of is summer evenings with good friends, wine and strawberries <3

I have for a long time have the wheel barrow from Wycinanka, until the new sheets came from Maja Design, it have just been waiting for me to get an idea for what I whant to do with it. So I painted it white, before I started with the details.

I have used several sheets from Maja Design, both from the collection that are 12×12 and 6×6.
I have used these blue sheets from the new collection:
Is My Favorite, Gives Me Joy, Glittering Water and By The Sea

The bottle I have decorated with a label with a bike on, just to remind us abute lazy summer days.

On the bottleneck I have attached two buttons with a bow.

All the flowers are put together with an unknown dies and the leaves below is embossed with embossing powders in silver.

Half pearls that I spent inside the flowers and on the buttons I’ve made myself with Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I have also chosen to place a bike on the front of the wheelbarrow, this is also embossed with silver and comes from Wycinanka.

In addition to the buttons on the bottleneck I have also attached a tag, here you can write a summer greeting if you will.

Hello my crafty friends! I’m so happy to be here again as a guest designer and I will share with you a layout and a card I made with these beautiful papers.

For my layout, I used the ”Vintage Spring Basics” Collection, the ”6th of April” paper for my background and the ”4th and 5th of April” as a mat for my photo.

LO Close Up 4(1)

First I primed my paper with Finnabair clear gesso and when it was dried I applied modeling paste through a stencil. Then, I sprayed my page with ”Ocean Breeze Blue”, ”Baby Blue Eyes Aqua” and ”Delphinium Turquoise” Lindy’s Stamp Gang mists. When I was satisfied with the result  it was the time for some stamping.

LO Close Up 2(1)

My ”2Crafty” chipboards were covered at first with white heavy gesso and then heat embossed with Stampendous ”Aged Ivory’’ embossing enamel. My title was also treated the same way.

LO Close Up 1(1)

I added my floral clusters and glued some starfishes and shells to complement them.

LO Close Up 3(1)

A final touch with some Finnabair Art Stones  and Colored Fine-Grained Grit in Blue Light here and there and my page was ready.

Now, for my card I used the amazing ”Vintage Romance” Collection. I made two layers, the first one with the ”Passion” paper and the second one with the ”She’s my Lady” paper.

Card Close Up 4

I choose an image of a beautiful young lady from the ”Ephemera Cards” to place in the center of my card. I think this is just perfect for my vintage card. Don’t you think?

Card Close Up 3

Then, I mixed Finnabair Light Paste with ”Peach Opal” Mica powder and applied it through a stencil. Made some splatters with ”Open Arms Amethyst” Lindy’s Stamp Gang mist and made some random stamping.

I primed my 2crafty chipboard and the title with white heavy gesso and then I heat embossed them with Stampendous ”Aged Taupe” embossing enamel.

Card Close Up 1

I sprayed my white roses with ”Blazing Sun” Lindy’s Stamp Gang mist to give them an extra shine.  I added my floral cluster and combined some embellishments from Scrap-Unlimited.

As a final touch I glued some ”Licorice” Glass Beads here and there and my card was ready.

Hello Maja Friends,

do you enjoy your Summertime?

I do. I had a great vacation and now I am happy to start crafting again.

and for my today’s post I made a very simple but cute mini album, inspired by strawberries, fields, wild herbs and other advantages of the summertime.

I used the new released Summertime collection and I am in love with it  ( as well as with the rest of the collections too).

This time I tried to use only red and green papers, though the collection has wonderful blue ones. I kept them for the future sea inspired projects.

I used minimum of the embellishments, as I wanted to showcase how beautiful the papers are

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new set of cards. I worked with the new collection Summertime.

Summertime Cards by Pascale B.

I made one card with the In the Garden part and the other with the By the Sea part. I kept the design of both cards similar.

Summertime Cards by Pascale B.

I cut two pieces of paper as base for both cards. Then I fussy cut two tags, one red and one blue from both Diecuts pages and added it on top of the paper with 3D foam square.

I added a string to the tags, some flowers and some leaves diecut in the Enjoying Outdoors 6×6 pad.

I finished the cards with some micro beads and glitters.

Hello, I'm Pascale B. from France. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition. Visit me at www.pbhobby.blogspot.com

Good morning, Maja Design friends, welcome to the blog today!

I still drool over the latest collection, Summertime 🙂 It’s so fresh, optimistic and light, and so versatile! Perfect for summer projects, but universal enough for other occasions too. And so for my today’s post I created these three best-wishes cards, using the small paper pad:

mdscards

Each Maja Design collection is so designed as to contain various colour schemes, and it’s quite easy to make monochromatic or shade-consistent projects. I made my cards focusing on particular colours. And so one of the cards accents the burgundy red paired with light creme:

mdscards1

I placed the stamped sentiment in a chipboard frame in the centre, added mulberry roses corresponding to the printed ones, some brads and a decorative borders. Glitter adds some glam too:

mdscards2

The second card focuses on pink tones – and as I couldn’t make up my mind as to which patterns to use, I chose a patchwork background to show as many as possibble 😉

mdscards3

The background is pretty “busy”, so I limited the embellishments to a chipboard frame with the sentiment, a couple of roses and stirng bows. Liquid pearl dots and glitter were the finishing touch:

mdscards4

And last but not least, a blue-toned card with a charming image of a flowered bicycle:

mdscards5

Plaid is one of my all-time favourite patterns, so I thought this one would make a perfect background that would make the flowers pop out. I also added some chipboard elements, a button, vintage ribbon and pearl stripes to make my card look sweet and feminine:

mdscards6

I think the small paper pad is a perfect choice for cardmakers – and which version do you prefer?

For my cards I used the small sheets of the following designs:

Other: flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; button: 3rd Eye; brads: October Afternoon; chipboard: Wycinanka, Scrapiniec, Magiczna Kartka; glitter, liquid pearls: Ranger; ribbon, pearls: my stash.

Have a nice day and see you later!
