Hi Everyone,

Its Keren here and I created a layout for Maja Design using the new Denim & Friends collection. I used the “Fashion” paper as the background for the layout as its very light and matches any color.

I used the blue toned papers from the collection as I wanted to mimic the colors of the ocean in my picture. I really love creating beach themed layouts and this collection is perfect for it.

Here are some close-ups of my layout. I ripped some papers from the “Worn Indigo” and the “Jeans & T-shirt” papers to mimic the ocean waves. Then I used some Petaloo by Flora Craft flowers to embellish.

The gold script was created using the Rub-ons and Foil Accents from Prima and I added a few more gold highlights on the layout to tie it all in.

I used a chipboard by Blue Fern Studios that has a maritime theme and painted it in gold to match the rest of the layout.

Here are the papers I used from the Denim & Friends collection:

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new set of cards featuring one of my favorite collection Enjoying Outdoors.

Lavender Card by Pascale B.

Making cards is a good way to get rid of all the leftovers of papers you have accumulated over the past months or should I say years. I don’t know how you keep them, but I found that keeping them in a pocket with the collection is the best way to use them. When I was first starting scrapbooking I put all the leftovers together, but when I wanted one, well, I never found the right one! Now I know that if I don’t find it, it’s because I don’t have it and I will have to cut some beautiful paper! Let see how I made these cards!

Lavender Card by Pascale B.

Even if both cards look different, the way I made them is the same. First, I chose in my leftover from the Enjoying Outdoors collection, which one I could use. When I didn’t find the right one, My next move is to look in the 6×6 paper pad.

When I found all the scraps of paper I needed, I inked the edges to add some contrast before gluing them directly to the card base.

I die cut some leaves in two green papers from the collection and I inked the edges.

Then I added a few flowers.

On this card, I even added some lavender sprigs from my garden. To prevent them from falling apart when they dried, I covered them with gel medium.

And to finish the layout of the cards I added some microbeads.

Hello, I'm Pascale B. from France. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition. Visit me at www.pbhobby.blogspot.com

Say thank you with a flower card!

Hi dear crafting friends! Here I am back with a card using lovely papers from the Denim & Friends collection, together with a beautiful stamp from Stempelglede and flowers from the lovely Petaloo by Flora Craft.

Denim-P

I just love this collection, as blue is my favourite colour to work with!

IMG_8672

Aren’t these flowers from Petaloo just stunning!?

IMG_8684

The image is a stamp from Stempelglede, and I have used Distress ink, re-inkers for my colouring.

IMG_8646

Look at these beautiful Petaloo flowers!! I have added som white Gesso on to them as well.

IMG_8648

Takk “Thank you” is a stamp from Stempelglede. I have used Spellbinder dies and a barbecue stick to fasten it on.

We have been specially sponsored by Petaloo by FloraCraft. You can also find them on Facebook HERE.
