Hello Maja Friends,

it’s only October on the calendar, however the time flies so fast and soon the most magic time will come. I mean Christmas time and I guess you know, it’s better to start earlier all the preparations.

So I decided to follow this , and created a set of Christmas cards

I used the past collection – Home for the Holidays, so classy and cozy

My main focus this time were the ornaments that I made using Spellbinders dies.

Everything that glitters works great for Christmas projects, I guess it’s a good idea to mix silver and gold together too.

I chose plaid and tiny snowflakes backgrounds for my cards, I like the smooth and mute red and brown colors the paper has in this collection.

I hope you have liked my cards and the tips I shared in the video, and would be happy if you could use them for your Christmas cards.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Home for Holidays collection. I chose one of my photomontages.

The Bermuda Triangle by Pascale B.

I started to stamp some leaves and some text with different Archival inks. When happy with the result, I primed the background with clear gesso. Next, I added a design with a stencil and clear crackle paste. I let dry.

In the meantime, I covered the shells with white crackle paste. I primed the boat with white gesso, then with clear gesso, and finally, I was able to add some colors.

With the same inks, I colored some Art Stones as well as natural moss.

I added some shine to the flowers with inks. And when the shells were dry, I primed them with clear gesso before coloring them too.

As the background was dry, so I added some colors with the same inks I have used to color the different embellishments.

I cut some papers to add under the photo and I glued all the embellishments with a 3D gel. To finish the layout I added some microbeads.

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today!

Did you celebrate the World Cardmaking Day last Saturday? I did, and among the cards I made I couldn’t miss using Maja papers! 🙂 And here it is:

But this time I selected the “plain” sides of sheets, as sometimes I like them even more than the patterned ones 😉 I layered two sheets from the Vintage Summer Basics and I simply LOVE how this 1946 sheet gives the perfect pastel shabby background with those white lines! I’m a rather poor media user and I would never ever brush the background myself to get those lines 😀

I added the wreath pattern using a stencil and white texture paste, then mounted the embossed sentiment circle in the centre and surrounded it with flowers. Then I added a lace bow and some bling 🙂

And I really love how dimensional it turned out!

So sometimes those plain papers are as gorgeous as petterned sheets when it comes to a perfect background, don’t you think?

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stencil: Agateria; stamp: Lemonade: flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; lace, bling: my stash.

Thank you for visiting today and see you later!

Jennifer Snyder here today, feeling thankful.  While it may feel like life is  spinning out of control, the world has gone crazy and work is stressful,  remind yourself of the many reasons to be thankful.  Thankful for supportive family, friends and co-workers.  Thankful for health and a warm home.  And thankful for a papercrafting hobby that brings peace, joy, a way to relieve the stresses of the day through beautiful papers and crafting supplies.
I made a card for a person who has helped me in my job for 10 years.  She is a treasured client of mine and is moving to a new position.  I value her assistance and level-headedness in the times when work seems like it can gobble me up.
My gorgeous paper choices perfect for the season are from Maja Design – Walking in the Forest paper collection. Featured below are the papers I used to create my card:
Maple ( both A and B side)
Mountain Ash (B side)
I grabbed another great product perfect for the season – my Spellbinders Fall Leaves die.  I also added some gold embroidery floss, floral berries and a flower for embellishments.

Here are a few more closeups of the papers and embellishments on my card.

I am thankful for your visit and support.  May your Autumn season be full of reason to be thankful.

Hello dear friends, Evgenia Petzer with you today. I have used the lovely Sofiero collection for this card. Its another shabby card, full of pastel colors, some layers, lace, flowers and some stitching.sofiero_maja_blog_petzersome close ups:sofiero_sep2_det1 the flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts.sofiero_sep2_det2 the butterflies I had fussy cut from the vintage spring collection, there is the entire sheet full of butterflies.

I love to fill the bottom part of the card with layers of lays, the real one, or the die cut one, like in this case.sofiero_sep2_det3
