Hello dears and welcome to the blog!

Today, I would like to share with you my inspiration for April. This time I have something a little bit different from my comfort zone. I made two cards with papers from the ”Enjoying Outdoors” collection along with lots of flowers and laces.

For the background I choose the ”Singing in the rain” paper and I used it on both cards. I made two layers on the first one with the ”The Great Nature” and the ”Woodlands” papers. I added color with the Edelweiss Moss Green Lindy’s Gang spray. The butterfly chipboard was painted with the Finnabair acrylic paint sparks ”Fairy Wings”.

I have also made two layers on the second one with the ”Gardening” and the ”Time for reflection” papers. I used the Open Arms Amethyst Lindy’s Gang spray to add some color. The butterfly chipboard was painted with the Finnabair acrylic paint sparks ”Iris Potion”. The chipboards are Dusty Attic and the flowers are Prima Marketing.

When everything was glued down, I added some glass beads and sprinkled a little glitter on them. The final touch was made with some splatters with white ink.

That’s all for today, my friends!

Welcome, friends! It’s Nancy with you on the Maja Design Blog. I’m thrilled you’re visiting with us on this beautiful day. Spring is well and truly arrived offering up it’s gifts of bright and beautiful flowers. I look out of my craft room window and marvel at the blooms in my garden, which are my inspiration for today’s card. I’m drawn once again to Maja Design’s Coffee in the Arbour paper collection. The colors are so fresh and cheery, just like a spring day!

Design papers are distressed, layered, and stitched to form a base. Handmade florals crafted from design papers are the focal point of the card. Frothy lace and loopy twine bows add a feminine touch.

Below is a close up of the stamped sentiment. I enjoying creating cards to keep on hand to suit multiple occasions, and this one will be perfect for those times I need a last minute card.

The curlicues are made by twisting strips of design paper around the tiny end of a paint brush. A script stamp adds a bit of interest to the corners.

Below is a peek of the interior of the card. Coordinating design papers and script stamping give a cohesive appearance with the front of the card.

Maja Design Papers Used:

Other Supplies Used: Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Dies, Heartfelt Creations Flower Shaping Kit, Script Stamp, Sentiment Stamp, Archival Ink in Timber Brown, Lace, Twine, Flower Stamens, Tim Holtz Distress Tool, Sewing Machine, Thread, Adhesives.

Hi everyone! How are you? Here in Norway the Spring has come. It is so lovely to hear the birds singing and the bumblebee sum. So I was inspired to make a Spring card for todays post. Hope you like it.

And what fit better than to use the lovely Vintage Spring Basics Collection! They are perfect for any Spring card.

I have coloured some cute Magnolia stamps in the same colours as the papers. I use Distress Ink, re-inkers and Markers for my colouring.

The sentiment is also from Magnolia and the Sumbeam Collection.

The hedgehogs are sitting on tree logs. And you can make them moving 🙂

By pulling the tag on the right side here.

Here a better view on the layers and the logs.

A close up.

And here they are pushed in to the middel of the card again. I was inspired by the super talented Jiwon Jung to make this.

The fence is made with a Magnolia die and Maja papers, so that it stands out a bit. That way it is easier to move the hedgehogs. I have added some Stickles – Star Dust to the image, butterflies and small flowers.

Another closeup.

The metal birds are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Here is a video of the card:

Hoping to Celebrate Spring

Hello.  Jennifer Snyder here to share a touch of Spring.
It’s April on the calendar, however there is still snow where I live.  I need spring cards to help keep my hope alive.
Helping keep the hope for spring alive at my house is the gorgeous Celebration 12×12 collection from Maja Design.
These are the papers I am using:
Celebration Collection – Congratulations
Celebration Collection – Entertainment
Celebration Collection – Festivities
The designs from this collection range from bold to delicate. It’s such a versatile collection.  As you can see, I am using the soft and delicate papers for this card.
I added some chipboard from Creative Embellishments for additional accenting.

Here is one last look at the finished card.

 Thanks for visiting today.

Hello Maja Friends,

It’s my time to share April inspiration

This time I mixed the papers from different collections, I like to do it from time to time, especially when I have some leftovers after I have finished working on the album

My idea was to create 2 cards, and when you join them together as if they were the parts of the same puzzle.

I mixed Vintage Summer Basics and Life in the Country collections, so perfect for Spring – Summer projects

I miss so much these colors – blue and greens after the long winter

Hope that soon we can enjoy these colors .

Have a good week end
