Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today πŸ™‚

September 30th is the Boys Day that we celebrate in Poland (although the International Boys Day is some other time). It’s not as popular as Women’s Day, but being the only woman in the house I have little choice but celebrate it πŸ˜€ And so, for this occasion I made a lyaout featuring my boys:

I chose the Denim&Friends collection because its’ my favourite and it’s the most awesome masculine collection to use for a boy page πŸ™‚ I used a plain Monochromes paper for the background and added some stamping and a stencil pattern. Then I hand-cut some tags and banners for the photo I put in the centre:

I also stamped magnolia images onto one of the patterned papers and added some shading with Distress inks and gold acrylic paint for the centres:

Both my boys love reading, and both chose math as their major at school (why?why? πŸ˜€ ), so I added a chipboard square set and stamped book pile using the paper piecing technique:

I think the layout turned out really fine, nicely dimensional yet flat enough to go into a frame or an album. There are flowers, but “masculine” enough πŸ™‚ What do you think?

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps, chipboard, stencil: Agateria; stickers: MAMBI; sequins: my stash.

That’s all for today, see you later!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today πŸ™‚

The weather is slowly changing into dull, rainy and cool, but I’m not ready yet to leave the summer behind πŸ˜‰ And so today I bring you a cheerful summer wishes card made using the very summery Tropical Garden collection:

I layered background papers, applied a stencil pattern on top and added a shaker box balloon filled with sequins, hand-cut tags and a flowers cluster including a bouquet cut out from one of the sheets:

I finished the card off with a chipboard sentiment embossed with white ep.

I really like the dimension the card has, though it will require making a box too πŸ˜‰

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: 49&Market, my stash; chipboard, stencil, embossing powder: Agateria; vintage ribbon, sequins: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you later!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today πŸ™‚

What is your childhood association with summertime? In my family it’s always been blackberry picking and eating, making blackberry pies, dumplings, jelly, eating them with sugar and cream… πŸ™‚ So the singature look for summer kids in my family is a berry tongue! And it’s no different for my kids:

I used the Tropical Garden collection not only because it’s a perfect summer collection, but also because it features that perfect shade of berry purple πŸ™‚ I matted the photo with bits of paper and hand-cut tags and added art clay fern leaves, “berry twigs” with mulberry leaves and die-cut berries πŸ™‚ I also die-cut letters to arrange the title. I finished the layout by spraying some moss-green and gold mist.

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Craft&You Design, Marianne Design; leaves: 49&Market, mists: Prima, fern mold: Prosvet.

That’s all for today, see you soon!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today πŸ™‚

Just like last time, today I bring you a Baptism inspiration, but this time I created a delicate baby girl exploding box:

For the box I combined the Celebration and Miles Apart collections, choosing some deliate floral patterns and neutral backgrounds:

I decorated the lid with a stamped and embossed sentiment and a flower cluster:

When you remove the lid, the box opens to reveal the inside:

I decorated the inned walls with die-cut motives, flower compositions and some stamped wishes. To add some glam, I used acrylic gems and iridescent sequins:

In the centre I put a box including a jewellery gift, but replaced the original box lid with a handmade one decorated with a die-cut doily and a signature strip pieces πŸ™‚ The box is tied with ribbon that is attached to the exploding box bottom – this way you can remove the gift box without having to rip it off πŸ˜‰

I think exploding boxes are best when you need to include a small gift or money – they work as both a card and gift box πŸ™‚

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Agateria, Lemonade; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; dies: Craft&You Design, Cheery Lynn Dies; gems: Marianne Design; ribbon: Rayher; sequins, string: my stash.

That’s all for today, see you next time!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today πŸ™‚

A couple of years ago I made two Baptism cards using papers with very delicate patterns. Going through my pics the other day I found those cards and had that idea: how about making them a little bit more bold? So I selected some papers from the Miles Apart collection, changed the design just a tad – and boy, what a difference!

I love the cards’ refreshed look, delicate and light due to just a change of papers πŸ™‚ Apart from that, I used stamped images of babies that I coloured with Distress inks, clusters of white flowers, ribbon and sequins.

One is for a girl:

…and one for a boy:

Do you sometimes go back to your old projects and remake them? πŸ™‚

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Whiff of Joy, Lemonade; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; ribbon: Vintage Ribbon; sequins, waxed string: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you later!
