Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new set of cards that I made with the new collection Vintage Romance.

May Cards by Pascale B.

I chose to keep the composition quit simple.

For this card, I cut a paper from the Vintage Romance 6×6 pad with one of the mixed-media die from Sizzix. I glued this die-cut directly on the base. I die-cut some leaves in the Enjoying Outdoors collection.

I added some sisal fibers under my composition. When I made a project, sometime I colored more flowers than I needed. Those were some leftover. But the colors were a perfect match. So here they are!

For this card I work with the same colors of papers: pink and beige. But this time I want with a more vintage style. I added some crackle paste to the paper and when dry I added some splatters of pink.

I die-cut a doily and some stem in the Vintage Romantic 6×6 pad and some leaves in the Enjoying Outdoors papers. Again I added some sisal fiber under the composition and some pieces of string.

Hello, I'm Pascale B. from France. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition. Visit me at www.pbhobby.blogspot.com

Hello Sweeties

Today, I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Priory of Saint Cosmes (La Riche, France).

I started to add a thin layer of clear gesso to the background. When dry, I added a design with a stencil and white crackle paste.

While the crackle paste was drying, I die-cut some doilies in the Love Poetry paper.

I colored the flowers  and the leaves with Twinkling H2O and Glimmer Mist. I used the same color to paint the background and I added some splatter too.

When all the embellishments were glued, I finished the layout I added some beads and glass glitters.

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a layout that showcase a photo I’ve taken in Rennes (France). It’s a simple street in the old town, but I like the way the photo turns out.

I kept the design of the layout quite simple. I started to add a thin layer of white gesso where I want to put the photo. When dry, I splattered watered gesso too and dried. Then I added a first color and dried. I continued to add different colors and dry before adding the next color until I was happy with the result.

I used the same colors to colored the flowers and the leaves.

After I’ve glued the flowers, papers and photo, I added some Art Stones. I used the same colors to colored them too.

To finished the layout, I added some glass glitters and microbeads.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a spring set of cards

Spring Cards by Pascale B.

Those cards are really simple to make. The difficult part is to chose some beautiful papers from Maja Design.

Then I die-cut a background in an assorted paper as well as some leaves in different green papers.

I added a flower or more …

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a photo I’ve taken in Dublin of “The Wishing Hand”, an enormous bronze hand sculpture designed by Linda Brunker.

The Wishing Hand by Pascale B.

To make my background, I added first some paints on a stencil before applying it on the paper. When the stencil was still on the paper, I added some crackle paste.

When everything was dry I added some gray colors to the background.

As usual I used the Twinkling H2Os to color the leaves and the gray flowers, and I sprayed the purple ones with  a Primary Element.

I added some glass beads and micro beads to finish the layout.
