Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new set of cards featuring the Enjoying Outdoors papers collection.

Cards_PB

I used the Feeling Good paper to make the flowers. I die-dut different leaves in assorted papers with a green color.

Card1b_PB

I added some Wine and Roses Silk to the background with a palette knife. When dry, I added a design with heavy gesso and a stencil

Card1_PB

I colored the die-cut flowers with the same paint and I finished the card with glass glitters.

Card2_PB

Here I added some tags behind the cluster of flowers instead of the paint.

Hello, I'm Pascale B. from France. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition. Visit me at www.pbhobby.blogspot.com

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog a new layout featuring a photo taken in Rennes (France). This head has a long story as it has been stolen several time.

Reminisce_PB

I started to add a thin layer of clear gesso to help the paper with all the inks I will add later. Then I added a design with a stamp and clear embossing powder.  Then I colored the background with different shades of brown and black.

Reminisce_detail2_PB

I covered the chipboards with a white crackle paste and I aged them with Twinkling H2O.

Reminisce_detail1_PB

I colored the tip of flowers with two tones of Distress Inks and sprayed them allowing the inks to move along the paper.

Reminisce_detail3_PB

I colored the leaves with the same Twinkling H2O  I used for the background and added some silver Mica Powder.

Reminisce_detail4_PB

I finished the page with Glass Glitter and Micro Beads.

Hello SweetiesToday I’m up on Maja Design blog with a monochromatic layout. I chose to work with a beige shading to highlight these photo of the Saint-Martin-d’Ardéche’s bridge (France).

Bridge by Pascale B

I started with a layer of clear gesso to protect the background. When dry, I added a design with a stencil and white crackle paste.

Bridge2 by Pascale B

While the crackle paste was drying, I chose different papers to go under my photo and distress them with a distress tool.

Bridge2_detail2 by Pascale B

When the design was dry, I splattered some watered gesso on the background, then I added some Rust mica powder mixed in water and I let everything dry.

I covered all the embellishments (flowers, leaves, die-cut and metallic embellishments) with gesso and dry them. Then I colored everything with some Rust mica powder.

I added some some random stamping and glued all the embellishments.

To finish the layout, I added some glass glitter and micro beads.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout. It’s a photo of one of my best friend I’ve taken during a photo shoot we had a few days ago.

Laurene by Pascale B.

As usual, I applied a layer of clear gesso to protect the background from all the media I will add later. When dry, I began to add a design with a stencil and a copper crackle paste.

Laurene_detail1 by Pascale B.

While the paste was drying, I colored the flowers with a home-made spray of  Primary Element and water. I used several colors of Twinkling H2O to color the die-cut leaves.

When the paste was finally dry, I added some random stamping with a permanent ink and colored the background. Then I glued all the embellishments.

Laurene_detail3 by Pascale B.

To finish the layout, I added some Mica Flakes and Glass Glitters.

Hello Sweeties
Today, I’m up on Maja Design with a winter page.

Winter_PB(Photo de Richard Loader)

I began to cover the background page with clear gesso. When dry, I did some random stamping and added black bister. To prevent the bister from reacting afterward, I sprayed a fixative on the whole page before continuing.

Winter_detail0_PB

I added more colors to the background with differents Twinkling H2Os. With a stencil and white crackle paste, I added also a design, which I covered with white Art Sugar while the paste was still wet.

Winter_detail1_PB

I colored the die-cut leaves and branches with Twinkling H2Os too.

Winter_detail2_PB

I distressed the papers under the photo and lightly inked the edges.

Winter_detail3_PB

I used 3D Matte Gel to glue all the elements to the background.
