Goodmorning lovely Maja Design Fans,

How nice of you to visit the blog today! As most of you know I love to mix and match collections what is amazing to do with all the Maja design lines. For this layout I used five collections because I wanted to follow a moodboard at a challenge site which was light teal, pink, grey and white. The grey flowers are handmade and super easy to do. The white paper with the clocks is my favorite sheet from the “Crea Diem”collection I used two, from one I cut out the clocks to add extra on my layout.

The grey paper I used as the base of my layout on that one I added the sheet from the “Vintage Summer Basics” in the light teal color. All the papers are distressed and I used  stamps and a stencil on the background. The rest of the flowers are off course by 49 and Market. I love to use pictures of our little Abbey she is growing up so fast trying to say difficult words just to funny she makes our lives compleet & happy.

The chipboard pieces are by scrapaholics and are treated with white gesso, ink, paint, sprays and the words with embossing powders. From the ‘Miles Apart”collection I cut out a whole bunch of roses & leaves that I placed around my picture. The cute little butterflies are from a sheet from the ‘Vintage Spring Basics”collection.

The stencil I used is by the very talented Gabrielle Pollacco whom I totally miss in this creative world….On the 6th of this month it was my husband’s and also my birthday he turned 50 this year I made him a Abrahim lol just too funny. I turned 43 this year a green leaf like he always sais lol hahahaha…..He was so sweet to give me such a nice present he gave me a new sewing machine for scrapping but they could not deliver it because they all had to back because there was something wrong with them {I am so sad about that hopefully I will have it back soon} I miss sewing on my layouts it was one of my trademarks on my work and now it was a long time I did…

Maja Design papers used: Crea Diem: den oersattliga tiden, Nyhavn: king’s square, Vintage Summer Basics: 1943, Miles Apart: the little things & ephemera, Vintage Spring Basics: 6th of May.

What are the most collections you have ever used to make a layout? I am very curious I think this is mine but to make sure I really have to go back in time. I will tell you in my next post….have a wonderful day and please stay safe & healthy.

Hello and welcome Maja friends.

Tina Ollett with you today to share my inspired Maja Designs Moodboard project for March.

This is “Remember”…..

I have used this photo on many occassions but never in the coloured form. For some unkown reason to myself I never ever knew my daughter was actually wearing a pink dress in this pic until I come across the original cleaning out my photo stash last week. Well I think I can be forgiven because this little girl in the photo is about to turn 14. So it was a while ago that the photo was taken. On this day she had been riding up and down on her scooter when she had a fall from the scooter. She was not impressed that it has happened at all and sat and sulked for some time. I don’t know what made me take the photo but it is a huge favourite of mine.

For my project I have used the papers from the Nyhaven collection. I would have to say that this is my number one on my Maja Design list of collections. I also believe I have made more layouts from this collection than any other in my time on the team.

Eating Out

Strolling along the canal

I have to say that I love to distress my Maja papers. They come up a treat when distressed heavily. And they give a great effect to shabby chic projects. So I did a little tearing and distressing of my photos.

I have added in lots of Dusty Attic chipboards, 49andMarket flowers, muslin, prills and I also added texture to my background page using the mini hearts stencil from Dusty Attic.

You can see the heart stencil above here. They are just so cute.

The crackle effect can be seen above. Leaving your chipboards to dry on their own has a better outcome than heatsetting. It is often hard to wait but I think the wait is well worth it.

And for you, a little video of my creating time during my project “LOVE”. I hope you enjoy it.

That is all from me tonight. I hope you have enjoyed popping by. Thankyou for doing so. And until next time take care and happy scrapping.

Tina x

Hello dear friends, Evgenia Petzer with you today. I wanted to show you the masculine gift envelope that I made using the Nyhavn collection. The gift envelopes become more and more popular today as sometimes it is much more appropriate to give the gift card, especially if its a person you don’t know well enough. So here is my version of one for a Man…

konv_muzhsk_maja_nyhavnwhen playing with this collections in a masculine style I always tend to add some black add ons, use lots of great shades and add sone kraft details.

Hi dear Maja fans! Hope you are fine! Here comes my latest card which I finished yesterday. I wanted to make a pink and yellow card, so I found the perfect pattern papers in the Nyhavn Collection:

Nyhavn-P

I have used a new image from Magnolia, and coloured her in matching colour as the papers. I use Distress Ink for my colouring.

The flowers are from Kort& Godt and WOC. To tone them down and to give them that shabby look, I painted over them with White Gesso. Under the flowers I have put some Sissal grass.

I have used drops of Liquid pearls in her hair. Behind the image I have put some cheese cloth and a doily.

You might have a better view of how the paper is built up under.

Here are the three pattern papers I have used:

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design blog!

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a layout featuring the Nyhavn collection. I chose a photo of “K on Sun” Franz Kafka’s head statue made by David Černý. The elements which composed the statue revolved all the time as you can see it here.

Did you know that the front page of the Nyhavn collection has a beautiful design on his backside? It is the one I use for this layout.
As usual, I primed the paper with clear gesso. When dry, I added a design with a stencil and the Platinum crackle paste.

When dry, I added some colors with different acrylic paints, I watered them down to obtain a watercolor effect.

I die cut a few embellishments: gears and leaves in a watercolor paper, and some letters in a black paper. I covered the leaves with the platinum crackle paint and add some Brushed Iron wax. I colored some of the letters with the same wax.

I painted the gears with the Raven Black Sparks and added some waxes too. I also painted the flowers and the leaves with some Sparks paints.

I glued all the embellishments as well as some papers that I added under the photo.

To finish the layout I added some micro beads.

Hello, I'm Pascale B. from France. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition. Visit me at www.pbhobby.blogspot.com
