Hello,I am here to share with you a LO I did using 3 of Maja Designs Beautiful Collections….

From the Vintage Summer Basics Collection I used: 1905-BS,1891,1891-BS,1932-BS,memories sheet & a BS of a label. The chipboard used on this LO is from Scrap Fx. Here are some closeups of detail….

I did my distressed,stitched layers. On the feathers,I first painted them with Studio (traditional tan) & once that dried I applied rock candy crackle,let dry,then I rubbed in some brown chalk to bring out the cracks,then inked the edges….

I used walnut distress stain on the c-wire,clock,corner & #’s, I also applied chalkboard glimmer mist (decadence)….

After I glued down the chicken wire,I glued down some seed beads…..

On the wordlet I used Studio (traditional Tan) paint & once that dried I stamped it using a dark brown ink pad….

Where I rolled the paper,I first punched in the upper & lower rows of eyelets. Then I glued down another layer & punched in 2 more rows of eyelet. I then rolled the paper,& secured the rolls with hemp string,then glued this section on to the LO….

Hello, I am here to share with you a LO I did using the Beautiful Walking in the Forest Collection….

The photo is of my BF’s grand daughter Anna,we had lots of fun taking photo’s in my garden……..

Out of the walking in the forest Collection I used: Flannel Shirt, Bird Song, Jeans, Mountain Ash, Autumn Poem, The Orchestra of Nature, The Colors of Fall, Die Cut Sheet & some of the BS’s of the labels. The chipboard is from Scrap Fx. Here are some closeups of detail….

I first started off with my distressed stitched layers, & was happy that I had corrugated paper that was the same blue that is in the Maja Paper. I tore it,then painted the edges with  traditional tan Studio paint…..

I painted the chipboard frame with traditional tan Studio paint & once that dried I stamped it with a Tim Holtz stamp using a dark brown ink pad….

I glued down the chicken wire,then glued down some beads. I cut the leafy foliage from a die from Cottage Cutz, using the colors of fall BS. I then applied rock candy crackle & once that dried I rubbed in a darker shade of green chalk to bring out the cracks…..

On the stem of the flourish I used Shimmerz Paints TextureZ Artie Chocked & when that dried I applied a bit of avocado liquid pearls. On the flowers I used SP TextureZ brick wall & when that dried I applied a bit of pumkin & chestnut liquid pearls. I also did the same to the wordlet…..

From this collection I used, Strolling down the Rose Path, The Magnificent Flower Street, Princess Margareta’s Garden BS, & some of the BS’s Of the labels. My cousins daughter Sammy did this work of Art for a school Art project, it is a 40 x 30 India ink. Here is a altered treasure box I made for Anna using the Beautiful Vintage Summer Basics Collection…..

Hello,I am here to share with you a LO I did using the beautiful Vintage Summer Basics Collection…

My son asked me to do a LO as a engagement gift,so I told him he had to come up with the quote. That is where I got the crazy idea about the photo. I wasn’t sure if I liked it,but Erlendur does, so I left it this way.

Out of this collection I used:1921,1922,1933,1899,1926 & some of the BS’s of the labels. I also used Days to remember out of the Vintage Spring Basics Collection. The chipboard is from Scrap Fx. Here are some close ups of detail….

I used a dark brown cardstock in my layers,& a charcoal brown tread for my stitching,to bring out the layers. On the wordlet I used picket fence crackle & once that dried I rubbed in brown chalk, then inked the edges….

I used walnut stain on the scribble heart. I then made a layered heart to go inside of the scribble. I laced the heart together,with the thought that two become one….

I used rock candy crackle on the foliage,that I cut from a die from MFT. Once the crackle dried I rubbed in brown chalk,then inked the edges…

Hello, I am here to share with you a Design Team LO I did using the beautiful Walking in the Forest Collection. The photo is of a mannequin that I have used as a garden ornament for years. Every year I go through my closest, to find a new outfit for her. This year I also gave her one of my old purses,filled it with soil,then impatients. It is still early in the season so there is much more plant growth to happen….

Out of the walking in the Forest Collection, I used: Die Cut Letters-BS, Last Flowers- BS & The Colors of Fall-BS

I did distressed stitched layers,but on this LO I also added Corrugated paper into my layers,that I applied Decadence Glimmer Mist to….

The mannequins hair is burgundy,so that is why I choose these colors….

I first applied rock candy crackle on to the black cardstock fuchsia branch from Scrap Fx, & when that dried I played with different shades of LuminArte green for the leaves & burgundy for the flowers.

On this LO I used Vintage Spring Basics Collection. Out of this Collection I used: 1st of April, 8th of March- BS, 7th of May- BS, 7th of April, 4th of May, 3rd of May-BS,5th of May BS, Days to Remember & some of the BS of the labels. I made this as a shower gift,so I first started by embellishing the little crocheted hat with some of my scrapbooking supplies,to match the Collection. I then took my photo’s & started to play. This LO is framed in a white shadow box,& as a gift I gave this LO & the matching little hat. Here is another LO I did for the Scrap Fx Blog using the Vintage Summer Basics Collection…

Hello, I am here to share with you a LO I did using the Beautiful,Walking in the Forest Collection. The photo is of my oldest son Sigurdur. Walking-in-the-forest-PFrom this Collection I used, Mountain Ash BS, When Leaves are Falling,Maple,Last Flowers BS, Knitted Sweater, Die Cut Letters BS, Die Cut Sheets & lots of the BS of the labels. I did my usual distressing, but I also inked all the edges with Tattered Angels Chalkboard (Decadence) using a paint brush…..c165d097-a424-4374-84c9-51b77ce628d0_zps3bab437b

I used Tim Holtz Vintage Photo on the Cogs & Circle, then inked the edges. I then glued the cog on to a piece of paper & applied a thick coat of rock candy crackle, & when that dried I used a paint brush & applied some TA Chalkboard (decadence to bring out the cracks. I used Tim Holtz adirondack alcohol ink (sunset orange) on the steampunk clock face & leaves. The bottom photo is where I put my Title (Autumn). I first stained it with vintage photo stain,then I applied crackle, & when that dried I rubbed in different shades of brown & inked the edges.
