Hello Maja fans!!!

Mary is up on the blog today and I have a Christmas tag to share with you. This is my first project made with the brand new ”I Wiss” collection and I have to say that I really loved it!!! These papers are simply amazing!!!

Close up 1

I used two papers for my background, the ”I wish those memories will last” and for the second layer the ”I wish for frosty mornings”. I applied modeling paste with a stencil to create some texture. Then, I made some splatters with ”Dark Chocolate Truffle” Lindy’s Stamp Gang mist and some random stamping with a script stamp and ”Coffee” Archival ink .

Close up 2

I heat embossed the title and the ”Corner Sweet Holly” chipboard, which I cut in two pieces, with ”Midnight Bronze” embossing powder and the little birds on it with ”King Midas Gold”. With the same powder I also embossed the ”Flower Chain” chippie. The snowflakes were embossed with two powders, first with ”Silver Moon Turquoise” and then with ”Golder Angel Wings”.

I made a floral frame with a die and the ”I wish for peace and joy” paper and placed it on my cluster under my main flower. A little sisal, colored with the same mist I used before, completed my cluster. Some microbeads and glass glitter and my christmas tag was ready.

All the chipboards used were 2Crafty and the flowers were Prima Marketing.

Well, that’s all for today, my friends!

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the I Wish collection. I chose a photo of the castle of Montrésor. (Loire Valley, France).

I primed the background with clear gesso. Then I used two stamps to add some texture. I embossed the prints with two different embossing powders.

Then I added a design with a stencil and white crackle paste. And I let alone to dry.

In the meantime, I die-cut some small sprigs in a watercolor paper. I colored them as well as the flowers and the leaves.

I colored the background with the same colors I used to color the flowers and the leaves.

I glued all the embellishments with a 3D gel and added some micro beads to finish the layout.

Hello and Happy Thursday!

“I Wish” is a beautiful a versatile new collection from Maja. At first glance it appears to be a Christmas or Winter collection but as you can see I created a page about LOVE. I used an engagement photo of my daughter and new son in law and the papers make this photo pop from the page! Just complete perfection in this collection, for sure!

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a layout featuring the new collection « I wish … ». I chose a photo of the beautiful castle of Chenonceau: one of my favorite (Loire Valley, France).

Chenonceau by Pascale B.

As usual, I primed the background with clear gesso. Then I added a design with a stencil and a white crackle paste.

When dry, I added different colors using Twinkling H2o: brown, blue and green to match the colors of the photo.

I also colored the lilies and die-cut some leaves in the “I wish for peace and joy” paper. I glued the flowers, the leaves and added a few strip of doily.

I added some random stamping, as well as some splatters of black ink.

Hello, I'm Pascale B. from France. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition. Visit me at www.pbhobby.blogspot.com

Good day to you, Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Have you seen our latest collection, I Wish? Filled with gorgeous designs, in warm brown and red tones, and so much more than just a holiday collection 🙂 It’s so easy to use Maja papers for various projects, usually the back sides of themed papers feature universal patterns like stripes, plaid or damasks so you can use it for various styles as well. And since I like to get in the Christmas mood no earlier than December, I decided to cut the I Wish papers right away but use it for a completely different theme 🙂

I layered papers of my favourite papers in the background, adding a randomnly torn sheet on top:

I placed chipboard elements and tags to mat my photo:

Of course, I added flowers too! These mixed embellies – flowers and gears – also reflect the stage my younger son’s in: with definite boy interests and still some cute baby features 🙂

Finally I added glitter ink splashes here and there:

Maja Design papers: I Wish:

Other: flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: Wycinanka, Scrapiniec; button: Lemoncraft; glitter ink: 13@rts

How about you – have you cut I Wish already? 🙂 Share your creations on your FB pages and tag them with Maja Design to be featured 🙂
