Hello dear friends! Its Evgenia Petzer with you today. I always love the beginning of the new year, it always seems like a big possibility to start something new, to become a better version of yourself and motivates me a lot.

With a bit of sadness I have hidden my christmas papers away… but then I thought about romantic holiday that will approach in February and decided to play with Summer crush collection and the sentiment is the paper cut off from the limited Sofiero collection, that I still have and have been hoarded for a while.

Lots of laces here and some of the resin pieces.

Hello Maja fans, Gabrielle here with you today to share a canvas I made recently.  I had this cute soft green rose ribbon in my stash which made me think of those pretty couture gowns I sometimes see on Pinterest.  So I gathered some of my favorite Maja Design papers some Dusty Attic chipboard pieces and some Shimmerz Paints and got started.

Vintage-Spring-Basics-P

The majority of papers I used on this  project came from the Vintage Spring Basics collection with a couple of papers from Crea Diem, Vintage Summer Basics and Sofiero collection.  I used the following papers for this project:  Vintage Spring Basics (1st of April, 6th of May), Crea Diem (Den oersättliga tiden), Vintage Summer Basics (1903), Sofiero (Princess Margareta’s Garden).

I thought it would be fun to create a video tutorial to share with you all to show step by step how this little canvas was created….so grab your favorite beverage, take a little break and enjoy!….

I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial! I thought I would share some of the close-ups below so you can view them at you leisure…

I like to save all my title strips from my Maja Design papers for my projects and one of my favorite uses for them is to use as borders on my canvas’s.  They are a perfect fit width-wise and for a 4×6″ canvas, they fit perfectly  all around as well. Here I used the paper strips from the Sofiero ‘Princess Margareta’s Garden’ paper for this (although you can use any border that suits your fancy for this.

I found the perfect little frame for this in the Dusty Attic Baroque (Square) Frames ….using the smaller of the two frames in the set I just gave it a little snip here and there to make it fit my 6″x 4″ canvas.  Prima’s Shabby Chic treasures had just the right size corset in it to suit my project.  And then I found a lovely little heart frame in the Dusty Attic Lacey Heart Frames.

I chose my mixed media paint colors from the Kaisercraft rose ribbon a friend had sent me a little while back. I picked Shimmerz Paint’s ‘Ride the Tide’ and ‘Sage It Isn’t So’ Creameez to add a soft hint of color to the background of my design.  I added a little texture with some texture paste and TCW’s ”Mini Brocade” 6 inch stencil.  And finally I added a scripty title by using the chipboard word ‘Beauty’ from Dusty Attic’s Wordpack #20.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and hope you feel inspired to create your own shabby-chic wall art using Maja Design papers! xo

Sweet Dreams_GabriellePollacco

Hi everyone! It’s Gabrielle here with you today to share with you my first page using the incredibly beautiful Maja Vintage Baby collection.

Vintage-Baby-P

When I first saw this collection it made me wish I still had my own little bablies to scrap!! But fortunately I have some really sweet photos of my little great-niece Kiera that I have the privilege of scrapping.  I knew these were the papers that would be a perfect compliment to here sweet little photo.  I used 5 of the pretty patterned papers to create this page….Special Moment-bs, Die Cuts-bs, Flowers for Mum, Journaling Cards Pink-both sides, and Our Little Miracle.

I gotta love it when two of the design teams I’m on create products that work so well together!  This chipboard baby banner by Dusty Attic was just the perfect compliment for the lovely vintage look of the Maja papers.  I gave them a simple paint job using Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet Distress paint (also used on the background paper).

The floral accents are a recent new release from Prima (the butterfly is part of the set) and the cute lil title is from another new Dusty Attic chipboard word pack.

The little wooden toy chest is a wood embellishment by a Polish company called Scrapeniec.  The cool thing is that I created this page for The Scrapbook Diaries as a Page Kit……so you can get all the products I used on this page all in one kit, along with a full video tutorial on how to make the page.  It can be ordered as either a Girl Kit, as I made it, or a Boy kit using the blues in the Maja Vintage Baby collection.  The kit is available while quantities last at The Scrapbook Diaries.

Shabby Chic Wall Hanging_small

Before I close off for today I thought I would share one more project that I recently made using papers from the Maja Coffee in the Arbour collection and the Sofiero collection.  As some of you may know I recently shared a line of stencils I designed for The Crafter’s Workshop.  One of the stencil I designed was called ‘Complicated Hearts’  here I used the stencils (both 6×6 and 12×12 size) to create the center pieces for this Shabby Chic wall decor….and of course combined it with these lovely Maja Design paper collections.

I actually made up a step by step video tutorial on how this project was made, so sit back, relax and enjoy! …

I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial, and hope you feel inspired to play with the pretty shabby chic beauty of the Maja Design papers.  Thanks so much for stopping by today! xo

Two cards which I would like to present today are only made of paper scraps left from other projects. Isn’t that a great thing that Maja Design collections coordinate so well? The possibilities of mix-n-match are endless and nothing goes to waste 🙂 Just add a few embellies and the card for any occassion is ready.DSC_0750 md DSC_0765 md

I used similar layout and materials for both cards, but I change the colour schemes and the card shapes. I just love the tiny flowers and butterflies which can be cut out from MD papers!
Supplies:
Vintage Spring Basics : 1st of  May, 3rd of May, 7th of May, 3rd of March, 10th of March
Coffee in the Harbour : Flourishing garden
Sofiero : Princess Margaretha Garden
From my stash : lace, mesh, flowers, rafia, leaves.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope your spring cards are coming out totally gorgeous!
