Garden Plant Combo 2015

Hello,today I am here to share with you a LO I did, using photos, of some of my favorite plants, I use in my garden. The color of our home is in the rust tones, so that is why I go with the rusty orange tones with purples. Last week we just finished putting the garden to rest for the winter, so now I guess, I will be spending a lot more time Scrapbooking….

I used: Beautiful Trees-BS, Garden Creatures, Garden notes, Scent of Lavender, Time for reflection, Colourful,Tags & journaling cards

I used: Mountain Ash-BS

Chipboard used is from Dusty Attic

Shows distressed paper layers, that I inked the edges. I also did some hand stitching. On the film strip I used Dusty Attic rusting powder (this is pretty close to the color of our home). I first painted the leafy scroll with clear crackle, then played with LuminArt H2O’s to add the color. The tiny roses are I am Roses….

I used the journaling tags for the title….

The first,2nd, plus the 5th photo used in the film strip are of ,Petunia Autumn Mystery. It is a new plant out for 2015,& I love how every flower is different on this plant going from the purple to orange tones.

I also use lots of purple fountain grass, I love it when the sun is behind it, & how it moves with a breeze. Another fav is Coleus Sedona, because of the rust color that has a purple hue in it.

With having the garden at rest, I also spent many hours on planning the garden for 2016, & I am looking forward to the changes that I have made.

My last post I did a photo tut on the easel card. I scanned the chipboard used on both cards, printed it on regular paper, attached that to the Maja papers, using a non permanent, sticky tape. I then cut out the pieces, inked the edges & glued them onto the chipboard.

A Little Fall Drama with Walking In the Forest

Hello Maja Design fans, Gabrielle here with you today! I’ve had this photo of my two girls hamming it up on a walk we went on, waiting to be scrapped for over a year now, it was time to do it! It’s autumn and I just had to do a little scrapping with the beautiful Walking in the Forest collection!

I just love the lovely denims and flannel print designs in this collection. I chose the following papers to work with for this page: Walking In the Forest (Fresh Air-bs, Flannel shirt-bs, Flannel shirt (front side), Autumn In The Air, Birch).

I used a variety of Dusty Attic chipboard to decorate this page with. I got the idea to use the postage stamp chipboard design from the Walking in the Forest Die-cut sheet of paper. The Dusty Attic Clock Frame got a rusty treatment using Dusty Attic Rusting powder sprayed with a combination of 75% white vinegar and 25% water. You wait about 1/2 hour for the rusting to happen. The l’il mushroom design was cut from the ‘Autumn in the Air’ paper and attached with foam pop dots. The white butterfly is from Prima. The Clock faces were cut from a paper called XVI from the Vintage Autumn Basics.

The blossoms I used for this page are a combination of Prima blooms (large cream flower), some Recollection (Michaels Craft store brand) blossoms, and some Dusty Attic blossoms (small blue).

I layered a few of the Walking In the Forest papers behind the photo, creating a few ribbon banners peeking out of the bottom. I added some foliage stamping in 2 colors around the focal points on the page. The stamp is a K & Company set called Lotus by Amy Butler. The inks I used were Prima Branch Bark chalk ink and Denim Mixed Media chalk ink by ColorBox. The title is by Heidi Swapp. Directly behind the photo I used a little Scattered Straw Distress ink by Tim Holtz.

Happy Sunday, Maja Friends. Elena is here today with you to share my Mini Album – About Falling Leaves.

Yes, I guess you have noticed that this month Walking in the Forest collection has captured my heart and mind and I can’t stop creating with it.

So I decided to make an album and then fill it with the shots taken during our walks this Fall season.

I filled it with some fabric embellishments and enjoyed papercrafting

I added some folds for extra photos as well

and for more cosy feeling I added mostly fabric trims and some leaves dies

and combined Forest Fall hues with some denim blues tones

Those bird pictures look quite pretty, I always look for rare birds in the forest.

But I have never seen the owl, and what about you?

Hello crafters.

I adore Fall season and each year I get so much inspiration from the leaves, the sun, the rainy days, each and every detail are precious for me during this time. and what about you?

I created one more card inspired my September’s MoodBoard.

I love the shades and colors of the Walking in the Forest collection, so I enjoyed die cutting and placing all the layers on the card

I cut out some butterflies as well

and mixed different patterns on my card.

Goodmorning Maja fans,

I am glad you are visiting our wonderful blog today. We are in the middle of summer and I am thinking about autumn 🙂 crispy leaves, fresh air, cool wind. Don’t get me wrong I love summer but my scrappy mood isn’t! For this layout I used the beautiful earthy “Walking in the Forest” collection. This time I took a picture of Kevin that I really love he was just a little three year old boy when this picture was taken. At the time we had a hugh pile of leaves in our backyard and he was playing in them and here he was playing hide and seek.First I created a background using paste, stamps and sprays love to get messy 😉 Later on I cute a bunch of leaf dies to add to my flower clusters. Also I cut out the beautiful butterflies & tags that are on the die cut sheet in that collection. I wanted the make my layout more in the earthy tones that’s why I used the pretty greens, cremes and orange sheets. Maja Design Papers used:Thank you so much for your visit today I hoped I have inspired you to take out your pretty Maja Design papers and make something pretty.
