Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Easter is just around the corner, it’s high time to send out some cards to friends and family, especially now that many countries, Poland included, entered lockdown yet again and we won’t be able to travel and meet our close ones. So today I bring you two cards to inspire you to send out Easter wishes 🙂

I used the Miles Apart collection for my cards. The first one is a patchwork Easter egg card:

I first applied a stencil frame upon a layered background and then placed an egg decorated with pieces of papers. Patchwork patterns are very decorative and useful ways to utilise even smallest bits of paper leftovers, and they are a great fun to make! Easy enough to create with your kids too!

For the second card I embossed a stamped “stained glass” image of Christ Risen, hand-coloured it with Distress inks and placed upon a delicate damaska background. I also used a piece of the signature strip from one of the papers as a decorative border.

I tried to make several layers for each card yet still keep them flat enough to go into an enevelope.

Here’s what I used to make the cards:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Marianne Design, X-cut, CreaLies, Craft&You Design; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; stamps, stencil: Agateria; acrylic pearls: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting! I also wish you a very happy Easter, filled with joy and hope for better times!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

On March 8th many countries celebrated International Women’s Day and so today I bring you two feminine cards 🙂

I think what many women most long for are the feelings of being encouraged, supported or appreciated, therefore I created cards using some nice sentiments to express those:

I made the card using the Little Street Cafe collection as it is very feminine and romantic, yet without too much sugary pink 😉 For the first card I layered papers to create a subtly patterned background for a die-cut dream catcher decorated with pearls, feathers and flowers. I added teh sentiments that say: “Believe in yourself” and “You can achieve anything!”:

The other card includes a message of appreciation with the stamped sentiment “You are great”. I decorated the card with various papers layered in the background and an image of a lady sitting in a little street cafe 🙂 I embellished the card with sweethart flowers, acrylic gems and some leaves die-cut from vellum:

Being a woman, I would be really happy to receive such cards – would you? 🙂

And here’s what I used for the cards:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Spellbinders, CreaLies, Agateria; stamps: Agateria; flowers: Wild Orchid Creafts; gems: Prima.

That is all for today, thank you for visiting and see you later!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

February is all about love, so today I bring you a Valentine card I made using the Little Street Cafe collection:

I used the gate fold card base and decorated the front panels with layered papers and hand-coloured stamped images of a boy and girl kissing. As the background panel is busy with flowers, I placed the figures upon a glitter heart to make them more visible:

When you untie the ribbon the card opens…

…to reveal the inside panel with a stamped and embossed motives: a red sentiment heart against golden hearts background. I used the masking stamping technique to achieve this effecct. I also decorated the inside flaps with chipboard flourish corners to stabilise the card and help it keep its shape:

There’s also some space left to write your name in 😉

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other:

stamps and chipboard: Agateria; die: CreaLies; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; acrylic glitter stones: Prima; ribbon: Rayher.

I do like how the card turned out, vibrant and cheerful – what do you think?

See you soon!

Hello Maja Fans,

January is almost over, so fast, but I am glad that winter is passing so fast.

Anyway I still can not stop but create with Christmas collections, and Winter is Coming is a perfect to use it even you don’t make something for Christmas.

I made 2 cards of different size, but used the same papers.

It was quite easy to do since the colors are really yummy and reminds about berries and Glog hot drinks.

I cut out the flowers from the papers and created the layers using some of my favorite dies.

So I am going to use the cards as a Birthday or Thank you occasion for one of my friends.
