Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

A couple of days ago we celebrated Grandmother’s and Grandparent’s Day in Poland. And I created a set of cards for this occasion.

Both cards use the Miles Apart collection and feature the same design – a middle panel upon a background of a different pattern, a chipboard heart sentiment I very often choose to make almost identically composed cards as I love to see how papers and embellishments can totally change the final appearance. Just take a look: the card for grandma has the floral panel placed upon the heart-patterned background. I combined these with chipboard mandala doilies and a mini roses cluster that nicely blends into the printed flowers. The delicate and romantic look is topped with opalescent sequins:

Now the card for Grandpa: the same design and the focal element, but instead of flowers and doilies I added die-cut gears and moustache, and matted the chipboard heart with a piece of paper. The central panel is filled with ballons and instead of sequins I decorated the card with teeny tiny gold dots that were left after die cutting the gears 🙂

As you can see, you can play around with the same design and by changing patterns, colours and embellishments get dozens of various looks 🙂

Here’s what I used for my cards:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Cheery Lynn Designs, Cottage Cutz; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: Agateria; sequins: my stash.

That’s all for today, see you soon!

Hello Maja Friends,

I guess that 2020 for  many people was not the best one and few hours left and it will pass away.

I do believe that the upcoming 2021 will be  much better and I’ve got 2 cards to share with you today, that I made with the brand new Winter is Coming collection that is so very awesome.

I am in love with the colors and the images this collection has, so very feminine.

I made some fussy cutting and played with paper layers too.

The vintage looks is so smooth that it makes me feel that it is not cold outside, though it isn’t .

So if you want to impress some of your friends, so these papers are the best choice, though they are not only for winter projects, you may use it all year round.

I also have one more card that I made recently and I can not but show it too.

I played almost with the same papers and images, and those ladies are really fabulous, don’t you agree with me?

I used 6×6 paper pad , so it has the perfect images size for the cards.

Wishing you all the best in 2021 , keep safe and keep on crafting.

Products used:

Winter is Coming 6×6 Paper Pad

Spellbinders dies, jewels.

Gift wrapping.

Hello sweet Maja fans,

I hope you and your loved ones are safe.

I hope you had a wonderful and happy Christmas , dispite  it was a little differend than normal.

This Is a repost  , It was on the blog earlier but , some how It dissapeared , so here it is again.

these are 3 gift wrappings I made for christmas presents , I can tell you now it was a great succes. the loved the wrapping as much as the in inside

This was an empty container from scent sticks that I altered with the Traditional Christmas Collection.

This is perfect gift wrapping for a small bottle of wine , a nice scarf, t”shirt or something like that.

The top of the lid. I made some flowers  using papertrey ink dies.

I hang a label pocket with some labels in it for a personal message.. I Looooove those little gnomes.

The pocket label is made with a die from gummiapan.

I have two gamer kids and the both asked game giftcards.. most boring gift to give , but the buy their games digital.

For my daughter I made this card because I bought her gamecard online ,and only got the code so (It’s non essential so not sold in a physical shop. )

I wrote that inside this card and put that in a gift envelope I made earlier.

For my son I made this gift card box. His card I bought just before the closed the non essential shops.

On top there is a little envelope with a little card in it saying happy gaming.

This is the inside of the box with the card.

I hope you like what I made for you and that I give you some last minute wrapping inspiration.

I wish you all Happy Holidays and see you next year.  Stay safe.

Good day to you, Maja Friends!

Today we are happy to introduce to you all a special Guest Designer – Agnieszka Cebula from Poland, an artist known for her fabulous flower creations:

Agnieszka says: “Scrapbooking has been my passion for 8 years now, and flowers are my special love. I mostly make them myself from foamiran using various dies. My favourite form are cards with rich flower clusters. I’m an educator and a designer organising classes and workshops. I also design my own dies for my brand, Fiori Agnieszka Cebula.”

Agnieszka loves the vintage style of Maja Design papers and combined our two latest releases, Winter Is Coming and Traditional Christmas to make two Christmas cards:

“Apart from papers from the latest collections I also used theme chipboard and my handmade foamiran flowers. As usually, I accented my designs with gesso and glitter”

Here’s the list of Maja papers Agnieszka used for her cards:

What do you think of Agnieszka’s style? Let us know in the comments!

Traditional Christmas Cards

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

In my previous post I shared some Winter Is Coming collection inspiration, so today the time is for the other new release, Traditional Christmas. With its lovely vintage colour combo of ecru beige, muted red and soft green is just perfect for traditional Christmas cards. And so I made two 🙂

I chose the same background layering of papers, with light top pattern, for both cards and to make the patterns well visible in a small space of the cards, I used the small pad version of the papers:

In one card I arranged a manger scene, decorated with handmade foamiran poinsettia and some die-cut leaves. I heat-embossed the sentiment directly onto the background with gold ep. Together with metallic god cardstock of the manger and glitter leaves, the card beautifully shines and glimmers against the light:

For the other card I went more clean&simple – that is, for my taste 😉 I just applied some intricately cut chipboard snowflakes and sentiment and added some liquid pearls dots. A touch of glitter and opalescent sequins add glam to the card:

With a lot of darker patterns in the Traditional Christmas collection it’s still easy to make brighter projects too – don’t you just love this versatility of each Maja collection? I certainly do!

Here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers (in the small pad version):

Other: chipboard: Scrapiniec; dies: Magnolia, Craft&You Design; stamp: Lemonade; glitter, liquid pearls: Ranger; sequins: my stash.

Have you made any Christmas cards yet? If you’re still looking for some inspiration, I hope you’d find my cards helpful 🙂

See you soon!
