Goodmorning sweet Maja Design followers,

It’s been ages since my last post and since I have been creative. I have to tell you it feels so good 😉 to create again, I have a lot of inspiration luckily! So hopefully you will like my work the next view posts. This is my first layout I made with our precious little girl in the spotlights ‘Abbey Jane’ is her name and she was born on the 15th of July last year, so she is almost turning one. It’s sad that due to the corona virus we have to keep it small but hey she will not remember it anyways lol ….

We feel very blessed that we have such a healthy little girl and she is a very happy baby, we could not have wished for more {our little present} For me this layout is kind of messy but it’s my first one since a long time so I don’t mind that it is. For this layout I used the beautiful “Denim and Girls” collection which I totally adore so more to come for sure. The chipboards I painted and sprayed with different mediums. The background is purely made by using a stencil and some crackle paste.

I am still figuring out how to make the best pictures with my phone still not getting it the way I want to, I think it’s time for me to read the manual for once lol….. but where do I have the time oh oh….because when I do have time I want to scrap. for this layout I used two of my favorite sheets, Ripped Jeans bs and Romantic Blouse:

Hopefully you all liked my first post glad to be back again…..love to see you soon! And I wish you a wonderful day and weekend. Be creative and happy thank you for visiting the blog today 😉

Welcome Maja friends!

I was inspired to create a mixed media layout to a natural garden theme.

I love this time in my garden when the lavender is in bloom and it’s a beautiful characteristic

because the dried lavender flowers keep their scent for an extremely long time.

They are ideal for decoration, potpourris and to fill sachets.

I used the paper sheet ‘Lace’ from the – Denim & Girls – paper collection as background and some cut outs from Vintage Spring Basics collection.  Matching the nature theme I added some chipboards from Dusty Attic, some remnants of lace & jute, sisal, dried & artificial lavender flowers and branches to the mixed media layout.

Tight fit bs

Days to remember (Vintage Spring Basics)

The background was created with some diluted acrylic paints and some Lavinia stamps.

here I used the ‘Juliette Balcony’ – a chipboard from Dusty Attic

in weathered wood optic made with a crackle medium and distress inks

 Thanks for your visit!

Wish you a good time!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

As I think it’s quite beneficial for both personal and creative development, from time to time I decide to step outside my comfort zone and try something I haven’t tried yet or I don’t like. And today I bring you the result for the latter: a layout featuring my not-so-favourite colour palette of orange paired with purple.

For this self-challenge I used a photo of my goddaughter taken soon after she was born. I used the Little Street Cafe collection that offers some beautiful orange patterns and eased the pain with a bit of purple and kraft brown. The photo has a rustic feel, so I added a tag cut out of burlap paper, but added a gold filigree panel to relate to the title too 🙂

I also added a couple more of tags and a lot of flowers to decorate the photo, as well as a guardian angel to protect the baby 🙂

The title is arranged with cardboard letters that together with a clock button add to the rustic climate:

Apart from the gold panel, there are some opalescent sequins to add glam on the other hand:

Although it’s not my colour combo of voluntary choice, I still like the way the page turned out. What do you think?

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Cherry Lynn Designs, Crea-Lies; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; button: Fabrika Dekoru; resin angel: Prima; sequins: my stash.

Do you leave your comfort zone sometimes? Do you like the results? Tell me in the comments!

It’s coffee or tea time?!

Welcome Maja friends!

Today a new inspiration layout with our latest paper collection ‘Little Street Cafe’.

It’s so wonderful to enjoy a good cup of coffee with a delicious piece of cake in beautiful spring weather. Here you can only do this on the balcony or terrace at the moment, but when the sun is shining and with a good book in your hand, the day immediately looks friendlier again.

I used  the ‘Plum’ monochrome paper from the suitable collection ‘Shades of Cafe’. Matching some hand torn strips of  ‘Coffee al fresco’, ‘ The best place’ and ‘Something sweet’. I cut out the main motif with the beautiful lady and inserted her as the center point with 3D pads, matching the current corona rules with sufficient distance ;-).

That was a joke because we don’t have to keep our distance to coffee and cake yet,

although that would certainly be better for a perfect bikini figure :-).

I hope I could inspire you to take time again for the beautiful things in life!

Happy crafting!

Hi Maja Design friends, its Tina with you today to share with you my next project. I wanted to create something vibrant and happy to share with you today because I feel we all need a little uplifting at the time in the world.

This is “The best place”……

As you can probably tell I have used the new release “Little Street Cafe” for the inspiration of this project. I love the colours of this collection. They really push me to use brighter colours and I love a good challenge. I decided on using a black and white photo of my youngest daughter to make things a little easier. I have used the patterned papers “The best place” and “Hot drinks”. I took the barcode strip from “The best place” and cut it and used this for my title. Easy. Love that these pieces can be used as I hate to waste paper.

            “The best place”

                   “Hot drinks”

I added texture to my background using a Dusty Attic Stencil and Crackle Paste in white. I added more layers of the gorgeous “Hot drinks” and adhered these to the top section of my page. These pieces were distressed a little and also layered up using some old chipboard pieces. I have used some Dusty Attic chipboards to help embellish my page. These pieces were all dressed similarly using white gesso and crackle paste. I used the Little Street Cafe patterned paper “Tea please” for the backing of my little chipboard window.

                            “Tea please”

And around this I added in some tea stained muslin. Once I added in the muslin I then decided on adding more orange tones to my project to keep it bright and happy. I did this by colouring around my photo area using some pigments in gold.

I also added in a little random stamping using 49andMarket’s Stitching stamps and some numbers.

Above you can see that I also added in some Rafia in the natural colour to hold the frame in place on my project. I added in some gorgeous 49andMarket florals in pinks and soft cashmere. These were dry brushed with a little white gesso to tone the colours. I also added in some splatters of white gesso and pink acrylic paint. I highlighted some of the bluebell chipboard foliage with Star Dust stickles to keep my project sparkling and then I was completed.

Well I hope that this post has bought some happiness to your day. Keep smiling and stay safe.
