Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Our most recently released collection is called Everyday Life, but it is just perfect to keep those special moments too! Here’s a page that I made preserving memories of our first sailing trip:

I chose the beautiful Make Memories sheet for the background and put a wide panel across the middle. Then I added torn strips of papers and tucked chipboard pieces and sequins in between to get a more dimensional effect.

I also applied marine-themed stencil patterns upon the middle panel using two colours of structural paste:

Upon that background I placed the photo, decroating it with flowers, linen knots, colour-stained cheesecloth and artclay anchor painted with acrylic paints:

I arranged the title using cut-out words:

Although the layout has many layers and embellishments, it’s still flat enough to be framed or stored in an album:

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Wild Orchid Creafts, Blue Fern Studios; knots, anchor, mists: Prima Marketing; stencils, chipboard: Agateria; sequins: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you later!

Hello and a big warm welcome. Today I am here to share my newest design team project. I have been working on this one for a while and have finally found a little time over the weekend to add the finishing touches. I hope you love it as much as I did creating it.
I have titled this project “Moments”.
This scrapbooking layout features my gorgeous eldest daughter at her formal a few years ago now. I have so many photos from her school formal. I am so very glad that I took as many photos as I did. As soon as laid eyes on the gorgeous “Miles Apart” collection I instantly new that I would be using these  photos. They are the perfect fit. Below are the three sheets from the collection that I used to create my base page with.

Close at Heart – Miles Apart

This piece was used as my background base. It was primed with clear gesso and I added in some stencilling using a 3D texture paste over the paper.

Thinking of you – Miles Apart

I used the “B” side of “Thinking of you” for the matting of my photos and I cut the floral elements from the “A” side .

Ephemera – Miles Apart

I also used some of the elements from the Ephemera Sheet of Miles apart to help embellish my page.

I have also used chipboards from Dusty Attic to create a frame to the left of the page. These chipboards were primed with Stamperia Primer. I then added in some dimension over the chipboards using Liquid Pearls. These were allowed to dry and then I painted over the top of them again. I added in some highlighting using Viva Decors 3D Stamp Paints in Silver.

To the right of the layout I used a wooden embellishment from iCraft Australia. This was dressed the same as the chipboard frame. Over this piece I added in a handmade “X” mould. This was also dressed in white gesso with highlights of the Stamp Paint in Silver.

Once all the photos, chipboard and wooden embellishments were adhered I went to work on embellishing my page using the gorgeous Blush flowers from 49andMarket. I added in a little hand made heart from paper clay. Some flower pearls and string pearls were adhered in amongst the flower clusters along with wood wool and the fussy cut floral elements. I added in some Nuvo Glitter Accents over the elements to help them shimmer and shine a little more. Lastly I added in some handmade paper laces that you can see at the sides of the layout.
Well I hope you have enjoyed my post here today.
Thankyou so much for popping by.
Until next time take care and happy scrapping.

Hello lovely Maja Design friends,

Welcome to the blog today I am such a big fan of gorgeous new collection “Everyday Life”! I think it’s because it’s so versatile it has a bunch of different colors and styles of designs. This time I used the blue & cream tones with a lovely picture of my mom. I have used two sheets of the collection to create this layout. First I cut out the middle of my cream sheet that one I added on the blue sheet that I alsi cut the middle out of. Then to make it ferm again I used a monochrome sheet I also matted the picture with the same sheets.

Love That Smile Mom:

The chipboard pieces are all by 2Crafty. The frame I inked with some cream ink after I gessod it. Then I added some white & clear wax. The beautiful 11″Fine Floral Frame Set I sprayed with some lovely lindy’s and added some blue ink randomly to make fit my layout. The phrase & word are treated with white gesso and I added some blue ink. On the Swaying Branches I did the opposite I inked it with blue and used some white wax on it.

For this layout I used a older technique on my background sheet I took a plastic bag and wrinkled it and added some spray on it to then add it to my sheet. I aslo used a pretty stencil only it’s almost all underneath the pretty pieces of chipboards & my picture. I also did some stitching and wrinkled my papers a bit.

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

I’m so thrilled to bring you another project that  I made using the brand new Everyday Life collection! This set is so versatile that it matches any occasion and so many various themes! Last time I shared romantic, feminine and flowery Mother’s Day cards and today I bring you a masculine layout featuring a totally different colour scheme – and it’s still the same collection 🙂 Love it!

I chose the papers that match the colours from a photo of my hubby and our elder son learning to ride a bike 🙂 I’m happy I was able to capture this moment, so “everyday” and natural and yet so special!

I chose a dark brown paper for the background, so that the photo and all the embellishments pop up. I cut some strips of papers and added a signature strip to make a design grid, put the photo upon them and filled the space with flowers.

I arranged the title using words cut out from one of the papers (don’t you think it’s a great idea? Plenty of words to choose from, too!):

I also included some other cut-out elements, and added gold paint splashes to brighten the whole:

I love how this photo portraits my husband as a loving and caring dad, making sure our boy feels safe and supported. And I’m glad I was able to scrapbook this moment with beautiful papers.

Here’s what I used for my layout:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; clock face: Maya Road; bling: Marianne Design; paint: Ecoline.

That’s all for today, have a nice day and see you soon!

Goodmorning lovely Maja Design friends,

Welcome to the blog, today I will show you a layout with the gorgeous new collection called “Everyday Life” and ohhhh my words it’s so freaking gorgeous. It has different color pallettes and some amazing cut out sheets to work with, for today’s layout I went for the yellow, cream and black/brown shades. I did a lot of distressing on my borders and what I totally love about this collection it has such lovely phrases randomly placed of the paper sheets.

Delight in Every Moment

I have used three layers here for my layout and behind the picture two layers, I used a gorgeous stencil by Celebr8 on my background. I also did a lot of fussy cutting on my layout like the sunflowers en butterflies. Firstly I coated the corner pieces, phrase and aztec feather with a thin layer of white gesso, then I used some gold embossing powder on the corners and white embossing powder on the phrase & feather after that I added some waxes in different shades to create more depth.

I off course used a picture of our lovely Abbey that I took last year her sitting in the grass with flowers in her hand. The beautiful chipboard border is treated with some gold shimmer spray and some waxes. On the background paper I used a new stencil and I finished my layout of by adding some “say it in crystals” & some white spray.
