 Goodmorning lovely Maja Design friends,

How sweet of you to visit the blog today, here in The Netherlands it’s nice warm weather just as I like it the summer kicked in Oh Yeah!!!. Today I would like to share a layout that’s close to my heart. I made this layout with the newest Maja Design collection called “Tropical Garden” which has beautiful pale & soft tones in it. Why is this layout so special you may wonder well it’s because of the picture {you probably guessed that already} I made this picture without both knowing I did they had a special moment here and I captured it……

I took some of the pink & purple papers and the cut out sheet and I fussy cut the whole sheet. Then I wrinkled the pink paper and used a stencil by Finnabair on the purple sheet. I placed the pink sheet on the purple after I added some pink, purple & white Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays! Then the building a layout begins on the bottom of my picture I added some courd as I did on in the flower clusters too….I really like this part of making the layout. Some of the beautiful board I left just the way it is and on some I added paint & waxes.

Maja Design papers used: Tropical Garden: Soundscape-bs, Exotic Plants, Purple parrot-bs & Diecuts

Monochromes: Shades of Tropical – Orchid

Thank you so much for your visit today. And I sure hope that I have inspired you to take out your lovely Maja Design papers and create and have fun while doing so. Have a blessed & sunny weekend!

Goodmorning & happy April lovely Maja Design Fans,

How nice of you to visit the blog, today it’s my turn to give you some inspiration on how to use your amazing Maja Design papers. For this layout I used the pretty “Miles Apart” collection….one of my new favorites by far. On this layout I used a picture of our little princess Abbey Jane when she was about three months old. All the products I used on the beautiful papers are by Renea Bouquets they are a perfect fit for all the gorgeous Maja Design papers.

As you maybe know by now I am a die hard layout maker, I began about 17 years ago and in the beginning I always made dubble pages but in the process of my scrapbooking years they became single pages. Sometimes I think and start trying to make a double one but that idea never sticks with me for long….for today I have a single page again lol….that started in my mind as a double page.

As you see I ripped the papers in pieces and then layered them the way I wanted to, so the pink papers peak through in one part but I wanted to have the green as my focal point. Behind the green I added the beautiful lace I think lace on your layout makes it really feminine. On top of my green sheet I added a script stencil.

I also added a stamp on the background and some spray for the finishing touch I added some microbeads, art stones & Finnabair waxes {on my flowers and leaves}

Maja Design papers used: Be Safe bs & Distance

I told you that I would come back with the answer of how much collections was the most I used on my projects and it was five 😉 Have a wonderful day and please stay safe & healthy.

Love Always

Goodmorning Lovely Maja Design Fans,

How nice of you to visit the blog, today it’s my turn again to post something that I made with the gorgeous Maja Design papers. For this layout I used three collections named ‘Nyhavn’, ‘Little street Cafe’ & the stunning new ‘Miles Apart’….jet again I used a precious picture of mine of both our children {so much love I see when looking at it} that’s why I named this layout Love Always….This was one of the first picture I took while Abbey had her eyes open so widely and looked straight into my camera…that I was so happy that I took it. Now Kevin likes to let me take pictures again yeah. I had so much fun creating this layout although yellow is not my favorite color to scrap I think it turned out pretty nice 😉

First I used a Martha Steward punch to cut the upper part of my layout, I cut that out of the ‘Sitting at the dock’ & ‘Stay Creative’ sheets then I placed that on feeling good sheet. Then I added some twine and placed a circle on the middle of my layout. Later on I added a Dusty Attic stencil and some Lindy’s sprays on my work.  I was inspired by last months mood board at the Facebook site from Dusty Attic. Lets have a closer look:

All the chipboards I used are by Dusty Attic I treated them with white gesso and some of the I embossed like most of the words, the others I gessod and ruste pasted them I was planning on using my wonderful dusty attic paint but it was all dried out sadly enough. So I treated it with waxes and spray.

And then comes the fun part adding my flowers that I selected for this layout they are all by 49 and Market. For the finishing touch I added some metal embellishments and some dress my craft sequins which I totally adore….and I added some white gesso on my flowers to make them a softer tone.

Maja Design papers used: Nyhavn – Sitting at the dock, Little street Cafe – Feeling good and the greens from Miles Apart – Stay Creative & Be Safe.

I hope you had fun reading my post and we do love to see your work created with the lovely Maja Design papers on the  Facebook site….Have a gorgeous day and I hope to see you soon….

Hi lovely Maja Design fans,

I sure hope you are all making some vacation memories even in these weird times. I was so happy that I got my Maja Design team box with this new amazing collection inside it, named “Miles Apart” it’s just so gorgeous and it will be released on the 10th of August just six more days and you can play with it yeahhh :-)….I can’t wait to see what you will all create with this amazing new line. Today i’d like to show you a layout I made with “Miles Apart” for this layout I used a picture of our two treasures Kevin & Abbey! I have to tell you all Kevin is just such a sweetheart to his little sister my heart melts when I see him playing with Abbey…

I am so happy that as a creative team member of Maja Design I already get to play with it before the release, and I am sure you will love it too. For the background paper I used the Stay Creative sheet and on top of that I used Thinking of you sheet. That last one I distressed like crazy with water and my hands and when it was dry I added some background stamps and a Dusty Attic stencil. Then I added some Lindy’s flat fabio spray {Chateau Rose} and some starburst spray {My Mojito Green}.

I also added some lace and cheesecloth do add dimension to my layout, to matt my picture I used the 6×6 paper pad….yes there is also a 6×6 pad yeahhhh 🙂 ! All the chipboard pieces are gessod and rust pasted at the end I used some paint also by the Dusty Attic and some finnabair waxes. And then came the favorite part of all adding my flowers I totally went overboard using four different packs of 49 and Market beauties. At the end I added a stamp {on my picture} and some metal pieces and art stones….

Maja Design papers used:

“Miles Apart”: Close at heart, Thinking of you, Be safe, Stay creative and the 6 x 6 paper pad.

I totally feel like a kid in a candy store sniffing the papers and going through every single sheet, and saying oeh and aahhhhh lol you must think I am nuts haha! Thank you so much for visiting the blog today and I hope you enjoyed looking at my work as much as I liked making it….have a wonderful week!

Welcome to the Maja blog this fabulous Saturday!
Today it’s a big day. It’s time to reveal the new crew for next year…  Some of the faces you will recognize and yet some are new on this team. They are all bound together by their amazing talent and crafting skills.
I’m so excited and totally convinced that this will be sooo awesome!

So.. Let me, proudly, present to you the MajaDesign Creative Team 2016:

CT 2016

Nancy Dynes, USA

My style reflects a feminine, vintage/elegance, featuring multiple layers, dimension, and attention to detail. Maja Design Papers speak to me and inspire my imagination, to the point that I’ve used them almost exclusively since the purchase of my first paper collection! I am honored to be a member of this amazing Creative Team, and look forward to growing in my craft while working alongside these talented artists I have admired for years.

Gabrielle Pollacco, Canada

I would call my style Vintage/Shabby-chic with a good dose of mixed media. It makes me happy to share new ideas and techniques and see others incorporate them into their own style.

I’m delighted to be on the MajaDesign Creative Team for another year, their designs are timeless and leave me feeling inspired every time I pull them out to create!

Elena Olinevich, Belarus

I have been exploring some new approaches and mixed media techniques, but being a very gentle person my projects tend to be more feminine.

I like using paints, mists and lace. But the most distinctive feature
of my projects are layering and thorough attention to details.

Di Garling, Australia

I think I would best describe my scrapbooking style as probably a bit shabby chic. I adore strong colour. I am totally addicted to mixed media on all my work, I think it looks unfinished without it. I love lots & lots of texture & I think I have a keen eye for detail. I try be be a little bit diverse by adapting to new things too. This is such a rewarding craft.

Maja Nowak, Poland

My work is a mixture of romantic shabby chic and a bit of a steampunk, masculine touch. I don’t hesitate to use flowers and glitter for my boys’ layouts, but from time to time, especially when making to order,
I do create a card that is not at all distressed.

What I love most about Maja Design papers is their diversity that allows me to use it for
almost anything I need to create.

Belonging to the team of world-famous scrappers is a true honour and great pleasure for me
and I’m so happy to stay here for another term!

Delaina Burns, USA

My style is a bit of a mix. I love clean, white space with a shabby feel but I also enjoy creating with a bold pallet. Either way I love clean, small parts and details. I am excited to design with Maja because the beautiful detailed papers are splendid story tellers and open my mind to multitudes of creative possibilities.

Amy Voorthuis, Netherlands

Scrapbooking became my creative outlet about 11 years ago, I eat, sleep and breath everything that has to do with crafting. I love shabby chic, vintage & mixed media style.

I mostly make a lot of girly layout’s that’s never hard with six nieces {I always have pictures}. But once in a while I want to think outside the box and make a masculine layout.

Maja Design papers make my scrappy heart sing {and believe me I can’t sing}. I feel very honored to be part of this amazing design team.

Pascale Bernard, France

The colors in my photo are my starting point. I love testing new techniques using gesso, inks, stamps, and creating my own flowers with colors close to reality.

I always create my own backgrounds with several layers and textures.
My style is at the same time or in turn vintage, shabby, steampunk,
and mixed media.

Bec Genet, Australia

I started scrapbooking after my Daughter was born in 2006 and I have just become more obsessed every year. In the last couple of years I have found mixed media scrapbooking and that has become my new passion. I also love to make altered art creations, canvases and card/tags. My scrap style is girly, I have to add flowers and pearls to everything

I’m very grateful to be on some wonderful design teams and get to spend my weekend doing what I love. I can’t wait to start with Maja designs, this is a dream come true.

Rachelle Sigurdson

Rachelle Sigurdson, Canada

To get my texture, I love to work with distressed, hand stitched paper layers.

I also love & use chipboard on all of my projects.

By reading my comments, I would say that my characteristics is my attention to details.

Evgenia Petzer, South Africa

My style is very feminine and detailed. I love all these tiny bits and little pieces that give the personal touch to the creation. As Maja papers are very soft and shabby this is a perfect match.

These papers are so “me”, they reflect all that i have loved in the scrapbooking ppaers for ages. Starting from the awesome quality to unique designs, I am just so looking forward to continue playing with them,
as a part of the Creative Team.

Silje Kristin Aunan, Norway

“Nothing is impossible” is my mantra.
I get inspired by things that surround me, nature, situations, feelings, weather; or ideas just pop up in to my head. I love to  use many different variations of paper, the more layers the merrier! Many details such as ribbons, charms, bling and lots of paper flowers. I can make projects simple but still detailed. My favorite is large detailed projects, and my style is mainly shabby chic/vintage. And that is why the Maja Design papers is a favorite. I just love the paper, and what I can do with them, when i create my projects.

Jennifer Snyder, Facebook Coordinator, USA

I love Maja Design for its beautiful consistent collections. The quality and excellence of the product is a joy to use. I look forward to having a chance to use some of the
best and most beautiful paper in the world.

As Facebook Coordinator, I also look forward to telling the world about Maja and  helping to establish a strong world presence.

Camilla Lilliesköld, Creative Team Coordinator, Sweden

I work as a Public Relations Coordinator here at MajaDesign and I have the pleasant task to coordinate this fabulous Creative Team,
and from time to time also give you some exciting news and updates from the Maja Office. ♥

I hope you are as excited as I am..!
So don’t go to far, we will soon deliver some real magic to you.

Have a lovely day! ♥
