Hello lovely Maja Design friends,

Welcome to the blog today I am such a big fan of gorgeous new collection “Everyday Life”! I think it’s because it’s so versatile it has a bunch of different colors and styles of designs. This time I used the blue & cream tones with a lovely picture of my mom. I have used two sheets of the collection to create this layout. First I cut out the middle of my cream sheet that one I added on the blue sheet that I alsi cut the middle out of. Then to make it ferm again I used a monochrome sheet I also matted the picture with the same sheets.

Love That Smile Mom:

The chipboard pieces are all by 2Crafty. The frame I inked with some cream ink after I gessod it. Then I added some white & clear wax. The beautiful 11″Fine Floral Frame Set I sprayed with some lovely lindy’s and added some blue ink randomly to make fit my layout. The phrase & word are treated with white gesso and I added some blue ink. On the Swaying Branches I did the opposite I inked it with blue and used some white wax on it.

For this layout I used a older technique on my background sheet I took a plastic bag and wrinkled it and added some spray on it to then add it to my sheet. I aslo used a pretty stencil only it’s almost all underneath the pretty pieces of chipboards & my picture. I also did some stitching and wrinkled my papers a bit.

Goodmorning lovely Maja Designs fans,

I am so sorry for my absence lately, life is just so extremely busy. Abbey is growing up so fast and Kevin just turned seventeen last month. I am still busy creating and loving everything about it but making blog posts takes a lot of time which is precious to me. So I will try to keep up with them from now on, hopefully all goes well with you all and you are not to dissapointed in me.

Loving These Moments With You:

I wrinkled my papers to give it more depth & demension.
I used five different sheets from the “Bohemian Harmony”collection and layered them. Then I added some stamps & a stencil by Finnabair. For this layout I used several gorgeous chippies from 2Crafty Chipboard {my new dt which I am so excited about} I all used white gesso on them. The word “shine” I just left white, and the frame had some leafy protrusions on it that I cut off and tucked in my flower clusters {and left them white also}.
I used two frames on this layout {I have a weakness for them}
The 6″Fine Heart Leaf Frame I painted in two colors to match my papers then I added a piece of paper behind it so I could add the phrase. The frame round my picture was treated with waxes {ochre & rusty brown} I also cut out a couple of flower clusters from different sheets and added them in my flower clusters & such.
On the pieces that I painted green I also added some shimmer spray to make it more blend into my layout.
I used a picture of our darling daughter Abbey last fall then I cut her out of a second picture I printed and layered it on top of the other one. For this layout I used  jute cord and cheese cloth behind my flowers and also visible on my layout.

 Goodmorning lovely Maja Design friends,

How sweet of you to visit the blog today, here in The Netherlands it’s nice warm weather just as I like it the summer kicked in Oh Yeah!!!. Today I would like to share a layout that’s close to my heart. I made this layout with the newest Maja Design collection called “Tropical Garden” which has beautiful pale & soft tones in it. Why is this layout so special you may wonder well it’s because of the picture {you probably guessed that already} I made this picture without both knowing I did they had a special moment here and I captured it……

I took some of the pink & purple papers and the cut out sheet and I fussy cut the whole sheet. Then I wrinkled the pink paper and used a stencil by Finnabair on the purple sheet. I placed the pink sheet on the purple after I added some pink, purple & white Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays! Then the building a layout begins on the bottom of my picture I added some courd as I did on in the flower clusters too….I really like this part of making the layout. Some of the beautiful board I left just the way it is and on some I added paint & waxes.

Goodmorning & happy April lovely Maja Design Fans,

How nice of you to visit the blog, today it’s my turn to give you some inspiration on how to use your amazing Maja Design papers. For this layout I used the pretty “Miles Apart” collection….one of my new favorites by far. On this layout I used a picture of our little princess Abbey Jane when she was about three months old. All the products I used on the beautiful papers are by Renea Bouquets they are a perfect fit for all the gorgeous Maja Design papers.

As you maybe know by now I am a die hard layout maker, I began about 17 years ago and in the beginning I always made dubble pages but in the process of my scrapbooking years they became single pages. Sometimes I think and start trying to make a double one but that idea never sticks with me for long….for today I have a single page again lol….that started in my mind as a double page.

As you see I ripped the papers in pieces and then layered them the way I wanted to, so the pink papers peak through in one part but I wanted to have the green as my focal point. Behind the green I added the beautiful lace I think lace on your layout makes it really feminine. On top of my green sheet I added a script stencil.

I also added a stamp on the background and some spray for the finishing touch I added some microbeads, art stones & Finnabair waxes {on my flowers and leaves}

I told you that I would come back with the answer of how much collections was the most I used on my projects and it was five 😉 Have a wonderful day and please stay safe & healthy.

Goodmorning Lovely Maja Design Fans,

How nice of you to visit the blog, today it’s my turn again to post something that I made with the gorgeous Maja Design papers. For this layout I used three collections named ‘Nyhavn’, ‘Little street Cafe’ & the stunning new ‘Miles Apart’….jet again I used a precious picture of mine of both our children {so much love I see when looking at it} that’s why I named this layout Love Always….This was one of the first picture I took while Abbey had her eyes open so widely and looked straight into my camera…that I was so happy that I took it. Now Kevin likes to let me take pictures again yeah. I had so much fun creating this layout although yellow is not my favorite color to scrap I think it turned out pretty nice 😉

First I used a Martha Steward punch to cut the upper part of my layout, I cut that out of the ‘Sitting at the dock’ & ‘Stay Creative’ sheets then I placed that on feeling good sheet. Then I added some twine and placed a circle on the middle of my layout. Later on I added a Dusty Attic stencil and some Lindy’s sprays on my work.  I was inspired by last months mood board at the Facebook site from Dusty Attic. Lets have a closer look:

All the chipboards I used are by Dusty Attic I treated them with white gesso and some of the I embossed like most of the words, the others I gessod and ruste pasted them I was planning on using my wonderful dusty attic paint but it was all dried out sadly enough. So I treated it with waxes and spray.

And then comes the fun part adding my flowers that I selected for this layout they are all by 49 and Market. For the finishing touch I added some metal embellishments and some dress my craft sequins which I totally adore….and I added some white gesso on my flowers to make them a softer tone.

 Maja Design papers used: Nyhavn – Sitting at the dock, Little street Cafe – Feeling good and the greens from Miles Apart – Stay Creative & Be Safe.

I hope you had fun reading my post and we do love to see your work created with the lovely Maja Design papers on the  Facebook site….Have a gorgeous day and I hope to see you soon….

Love
