The colors are so soft and sweet.. And once again we are going back in time, to a magic space, filled with wonders and miracles. A time filled with warmth, love and tenderness.

This year is now coming to an end, and we are looking forward to spend some quality time with family and friends. To take a moment off and just enjoy the peace and quiet, cook some delicious food, maybe bake a cake.. Probably a little gift here and there..
To embrace the love we have around us, the warmth and care we need so much.
This time is all about magic, peace, love and thoughtfulness.

We have made our new paper line for you to make some special art of your winter holiday memories.
The collection comes in 12×12″, as well as 6×6″. Hope you will enjoy.
You can enjoy all the different designs here.

I also must tell you that our talented Heather must step down from the team, for now. We haven’t seen her for a while on the blog, but she has always been a beloved member in our team. Now she needs to take a real break though, and we wish her all the best in the world..! I also want to embrace the opportunity to say Thank you Heather, for all you’ve done and for all the amazing inspiration you’ve been giving us. You are a true star and we really admire you. With confidence, I say – See you soon..! ♥

Winter is knocking on the door…

Here in the northern Europe it is still autumn and we can still enjoy quite bright days outside and be amazed by all the autumn-like colours the nature brings. However, the winter is knocking on the door and will soon embrace us with white snow, coldness and crispy air. Nothing bad about that, I love winter time..! Go sledding with the kids, make beautiful things in the fine, white snow – like snow angels, caves to cuddle in and snowmen with carrots as noses.. And then, head inside to enjoy a nice cup of warm chocolate in front of the fire place.. I think you really enjoy being inside more, when it’s chilly outside – actually you enjoy both worlds even more. ♥

Our newest collection is taking us outside to hang with the snowmen, meet the reindeer and say a quick hello at the mysterious old man with the white, long beard who has arrived with a huge sack on his shoulder…
We watch the snowflakes fall from the sky, in all it’s different shapes and sizes.
We head inside, to warm ourselves in front of the stove, as we’re baking some gingerbreads to enjoy later on. During the evening we’re munching on our freshly baked pastries while we’re wrapping some presents for our beloved ones.. We are wallowing in different patterns and beautiful lacings.

You wanna join? Welcome! ♥

I’m heading outside to enjoy the fresh air and all the wonderful colours in the nature.. I grab my lilac rubber boots, my hat and my favorite umbrella. It’s like my grandmother always used to say “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes”.. In Swedish this is an old saying that actually rhymes so nice (“Det finns inget dåligt väder, bara dåliga kläder”).

And it’s so true..! I wouldn’t miss this time of year, for the world..!

In my picnic basket I have some tea and muffin, and of course also my camera. You’ll never know how long I’ll be away and what I’ll might find on the way…

Here in Scandinavia, the nature will soon go into its winter sleep and we will embrace every last of its spectacular drama, photograph the beautiful different hues and make it into wonderful memories in our scrapbooks..

Our new collection is all about that – autumn, nature, garden, whimsical weather and magnificent colours.

Now, it’s time to welcome our new Maja Team Member – Silje Kristin Aunan.

Silje-Kristin

Silje is a really talented artist who specializes in altered projects. We are totally in love with her style and her wonderful and daring way to handle Maja papers.

Hello everyone 🙂
My name is Silje Kristin Aunan, I live in the north of Norway, in a town called Bodø. Here I live in a House with 2 girlfriends. I have my own crafting room with a bed 😉 I like to fish, be outside in the forest or on the top of mountains. I love a good book, take photos and I like to bake. But my true passion is Scrapbooking. 😀
I discovered scrapbooking in November 2013 and it changed my life.
It all began with a few Christmas cards and tags, made with Maja paper.
3D projects and special boxes soon became my favorite, I just love creating special new unusual projects. I feel an urge to create things that have never been done before. It makes me excited and time flies by so fast. It is like time does not exist while I am in the zone of creating ♥
From childhood I have always been very creative. I even studied pastry/cakes where I also could use my creativity.
I get inspired by things that surround me, nature, situations, feeling, weather; or ideas just pop up in to my head.
I prefer to create something unique. Pushing my own boundaries. So therefore I challenge myself to make “impossible” paper creations. “Nothing is impossible” is my mantra.
I love to  use many different variations of paper, the more layers the merrier! Many details such as ribbons, charms, bling and lots of paper flowers. I can make projects simple but still detailed. My favorite is large detailed projects, and my style is mainly shabby chic/vintage.
And that is why the Maja Design paper is a favorite. I just love the papers, and what I can do with them, when I create my projects.
I hope I can inspire you all to tray things you never have done before, becuse I love to inspire crafters, and why not do it with lovely Maja Design Paper ♥

A warm welcome to the Maja Family, Silje..!
You can enjoy her first post at the blog on September 6th.

We also want to say Hi! to Gabrielle who has been enjoying her summer break. You are so very welcome back..! ♥
