Hello friends. Tina Ollett with you here today to share my newest Maja Designs creation. I have reverted back to a favourite collection this time around……. “Summertime”. With this beautiful collection I created a soft shabby layout full of gorgeous Petaloo flowers from Penny Lane Garden Collection. Petaloo are sponsoring Maja this month with their wonderful flowers…… thank you Petaloo !!

……………”Dream”………….

Oh how I loved this collection I think I have already mentioned that but it definitely is a favourite for me. As always my layout evolved slowly and didn’t finish off how I had imagined by I was quite happy with my end project. Below are all the papers I used from this collection. Some of the papers were gessoed to help with the effect I was looking for. I have used lots of media and paints to colour my papers and Dusty Attic chipboards.

My background papers was firstly primed with gesso and then I laid down a run of 3D Gloss gel and over that some very distressed muslin. This was my starting point and from here I layered my page with photo matting papers from the Summertime collection and then the sepia toned photo over the top.

2017-09-12 Dream - Maja Design Creation - September 032

Around my photo I used some beautiful Leafy Stem Dusty Attic chipboards. To the right of the photo I added in a Arch Window also from Dusty Attic. These were all dressed in Crackle Pastes, inks (Distress Inks) and Prima Art Alchemy Green Gold Acrylic Paint. You can see above that I also added in some Art Stones.

I did a little stamping with a Carte Postal stamp at the side of my photo and very randomly with a script stamp.

For my title I have used a very old rub on that I added to some transparency paper and cut out. I have the hugest collection of rub-ons that I just can’t get enough of!!

2017-09-12 Dream - Maja Design Creation - September 085

You can see above that I also added some Texture Crackle Paste to my background page to help bring the project together. Lastly I went over my whole project dry brushing with white gesso to help keep this very muted and to of course keep the photo the centre of attention. This photo is of my youngest daughter which was taken by a friend at a school excursion a few years back now when she was only in prep. How time flies she is now a highschooler!!

Well that is all from me today. I so hope that you enjoyed my project and I hope to see you back here again very soon. Stay tuned for more design team prettiness tomorrow.

Take care and happy crafting!!Tina-sign

Welcome back and hello!
I hope this post finds you happy and well. Today I have for you a layout inspired by a gorgeous photo of my eldest daughter. This I have titled

“Dream”…….

I have used a combination of Maja Designs gorgeously stunning Vintage Summer and Vintage Spring Basics collection to create my layered background of torn and distressed papers.
I can’t tell you how often I have wanted to use this piece of chipboard……but finally it happened for the perfect project. I think it just fit wonderfully here. You can see these pieces above cut into 2’s and tucked amoungst my gorgeous Maja paper layers. Yay I was so happy when this worked!
I love this Title chipboard. They are totally gorgeous. This one was dressed in some Sugar Plum acrylic paint and then I toned it down a little to compliment my page with some white gesso and of course some Dress My Craft sparkling dust……..
I have also used a Swirly Frame chipboard. It was cut into two and used to frame these beautiful photo’s of my daughter Ashlea. We held a Mad Hatters Tea Party a little while back and she dressed as the Queen and looked just stunning. These photos of course were changed to a Sepia tone to help fit my layout and the moodboard.
Here you can see my Fleur de Lis coloured with inks and paints. Atop of it I sat the small Decorative #1 frame and then on top of that a Mini Clock Face. The mini clockfaces are the perfect fit for this frame!!
Okay and I love me a little or quite a lot however you look at it, of the Dress My Craft
Princess Mix Sequins. I also gave my layout a good sprinkling of  Dress My Craft’s Sparkling Dust just to make it shine that little bit more.
I also added in some florals but I kept it quite minimal for me that is. Above you can see the 49andMarket Floral Mixology flowers that I used. These are the Pina Colada coloured florals that I changed up by wiping over with a little Dusty Sugar Plum acrylic paint.
I have also tucked in a little lace and muslin to keep the layout as soft as possible.
And lastly these gorgeous Heart Arrows. I have dressed both the large and the small chippies in some Star Dust Stickles to really make them pop. I then added them into my clusters of flowers.
Well that is all from me today. I hope you have a beautiful week and find some time for yourself !
Big hugs …..

Hello beautiful Maja Fans,

Today it is my turn again on this lovely blog, I love my Maja Design papers so much that I find them a blessing to work with. Lately I am totally into baby layouts really don’t know why the only thing I can think of that babies are so stinking cute….for this layout I wanted to highlight just one color extra besides black & white which officously is orange. I am not such a fan of that color but it reminds me of a wonderful time with our handsome son Kevin because one of his first words he said besides dad, mom and car was orange {still think that is so funny}…

I really love the black & white sheets in the Sommartider collection I always use them when I need a black or white peice of paper to create with. Before I started creating I firstly picked out the flowers I wanted to use {sadly my last black ones that I have} the orange ones are by 49 and Market and called shimmer & shine, the black ones are by Petaloo and the white ones are by Dusty Attic like all the chipboard is too.

At first I cut out the middle part of the Strandmode bs sheet and stuck the Sommarens bild bs behind it, I also did that with the sunny side sheet from the “Nyhavn collection. Then I distressed the edges of both sheets and machine stitched on the orange sheet. Then I picked out hte picture I wanted to use. I treated my chipboard pieces with gesso and rust paste because it has orange in it to finish my layout I added some sidewalk chalk {white} spray by lindy’s to make it a little shabby chic. I also added some shimmer spray by the same manufactor. The last thing I added are some orange glass beads and prills….
