Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today!

Although Easter is supposed to be the most joyful celebration of the year, this year is different. We’re globally suffering from the pandemic and the feelings of joy, happiness and the glory of life through Christ’s resurrection seem distant and muted by the invisible virus and restrictions it put over our everyday life. But if we are to overcome this, we must stay strong! We must take care of ourselves and of others by – paradoxical as it is – distancing from them and not endangering anybody with unnecessary contact. Therefore I decided NOT to send Easter cards this year – so that post workers are safer and my family and friends as well. And that’s why I made just one card for this season and will be sending a photo of it with my wishes:

I made the card using the latest Maja collection, Little Street Cafe and used the largest X-cut dies to give it an egg form – just love making paper Easter eggs! 🙂

Although I make egg cards each year, I nonetheless try to include a different symbol every time. This year I decided to use the Paschal candle. It represents the light of  the risen Christ coming to the world, the light that dispels darkness, and the victory of life over death. Isn’t it a perfect symbol for these gloom days?

I decorated the Paschal with lilies – symbols of love, purity and resurrection and catkins – popular elements of Polish Easter palms. I embossed the stamped sentiment with gold ep and added some sequins for more festive glam.

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: X-cut, I Love Craft, Crat&You Design; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; stamp: Lemonade; sequins: my stash.

And so this is the card that I won’t be sending to anyone, but to everyone! 🙂 With heartfelt wishes of peace, blessing and joy to fill your hearts and homes.

Happy Easter!

Gift Bag.

Today I bring you this gift bag  I made for my friend . Because of the lockdown we can’t meet so I made her this bag .

I put  her favorite tea ( apple pie tea )and chocolate in it.  Of course I kept the safe distance when I delivered it to her on my way to the grocery store.

Here are some close ups for you.

The flowers  , ribbon and lace are from my own stash.

The little label is made with a stamp from Waltzing Mouse.

Thank you for visiting.

I hope you like the gift bag I made for  you. Stay safe and don’t forget to check in later to see what the other Maja girls have made for you.

I made this giftbag using  The Little Street Cafe Collection.

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

In my last post I shared a baby girl layout using the Little Street Cafe collection. I also claimed it’s quite easy to use any Maja collection for any theme. And so I have challenged myself to create a boy page with this romantic, vintage and feminine collection. Here’s the result 🙂

Just as in my previous post, I followed the photo colour combo and opted for a monochromatic selection of background papers. I  chose orange hues (surprising as it was for me!) that perfectly match the brick wall in the photo. I repeated the motive with a stencil and white structure paste…

…and referred to my boys’ black t-shirts with black mold elements and stamping. A range of matching flowers as well as black stones and matte gold sequins complete the look.

For the title I used a chipboard piece that I embossed with glossy black ep:

I think it turned out really cool, casual and cheerful 🙂 But what do you think?

Here are my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: chipboard: Scrapiniec; stamps: Heidi Swapp, aliexpress; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts, Prima; stones, stencil, resin flowers: Prima; mold: Prosvet; sequins: my stash.

Thank you for visiting the blog today! Don’t forget to return soon for more inspiration 🙂

Hi there Maja fans! I hope you all are fine in this unsurreal times. The corona virus has hit Norway hard, but also the rest of the world. I am thinking of card making friends in Italy and Spain now. I hope you are all alright. I am isolating myself at home mostly of the time, as I am lucky to be able to have a home office. For today I have a heart shaped card to show you. I did the colouring with Distresses some time ago, but have put it together the last days. I hope you like it, and know that my heart is with you.

The papers used are from the lovely Little Street Cafe Collection. I will show you which ones at the end of this post.

The image and dies used are from Magnolia. Also the heart die I have used to make the shape of the card.

I have also used the Maja papers to make the flowers. They are cut out with dies, and put together to a beautiful Maja flower.

Under is a close up of more Maja flowers.

Here are the papers used:

Take care everyone!

With love,

Adorable

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

As each Maja Design collection, Little Street Cafe has a specific theme, but at the same time is versatile enough to be used for almost any kind of project. And today I’m bringing you a baby girl page using these beautiful papers 🙂

The collection features a vibrant palette of several colours, but it is really easy to opt for a monochromatic project. I selected mauve and pink papers and added a touch of white and gold to create light, delicate background for a sweet photo of my goddaughter.

First I layered background papers and applied a wreath motive upon them with a stencil and white texture paste. Then I filled each wreath with flowers:

I die-cut the title word from gold metallic cardstock and applied it upon a wired heart:

I also added some sequins for a bit of girly glam 🙂

I really like the way it turned out; light, subtle and delicate like the baby in the photo 🙂 What do you think?

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts, Prima; die: Kesi’Art; stencil: Agateria; diecuts, wired heart: Prima; mold: Prosvet; sequins: my stash.

That is all for today, thank you so much for visiting and don’t forget to drop by soon for more inspiration!
