Hi there wonderful Maja fans! Today I will show you a romantic, shabby style wedding card I have made for my cousin’s wedding.

IMG_3016

I have used the beautiful papers from the Vintage Romance collection. They are all so beautiful that it almost hurts to cut them.

Vintage-Romance-P

The stamps used are from Stempelglede. And I think these stamps fits so well with Maja Design’s romantic and vintage style.

I have made the card out of soft blue and pink tones. And later in this post I will show you the papers I have used.

IMG_3022

The dies are DooHickeys from Magnolia. And the shape of the card is made with a GoKreate die.

You might see that I have put the heart up on 3D foam. And I have actually used three different stamps for the main image. The heart is stamped with Archival Ink, Cobalt. And I have added liquid pearls on it and inked the edges with Distress Ink pad-Walnut Stain. I have also used my glitter pen on the heart and french script. I use a Zig Memory Writer, Wink of Stella, Clear Brush. And you might spot that I have sparcled up the butterflies with my glitterpen aswell.

The last photo is a close up of the cute key that I have glued on the flowers. The flowers are from WOC and Prima.

Here is the list of papers used on my card:

Thank you so much for visiting today! And for those who asked about a tutorial for the lollipop cards, I will have it ready for you in the beginning of August, here on the Maja Design blog. (But I will add that a lollipop card is not my invention, and I hope I do not step on anyones toes.)

Wish you all a lovely day!

Hugs,

Camilla

Mini-Wedding Album

Hello. Jennifer Snyder posting today to show off the gorgeous Vintage Romance collection.  This is a mini-album wedding card that I created with the absolutely fabulous Maja Design Vintage Romance collection in conjunction with some dies and stamps from JustRite Papercrafts.

Birth of a Mini Album
Mini-albums are really not something I enjoy – and truthfully this project didn’t start out as a mini.  It had its humble beginnings as a card.

I pulled out my Maja Design papers and tried to figure out which sheet I’d use for a card – really tough choice – impossible almost, since the Maja Design Vintage Romance collection has too many gorgeous papers.   I tried die cutting a few of the sheets to decide which ones I liked best for my card.   It got crazy at my house – more indecision – more die cuts – more beauty – more confusion.   Finally I looked at the beautiful elegant pile of die cuts on my desk and realized I didn’t need to decide.  A mini-album was born.
This is the front of my card.  As you can see, I punched a hole in all the pages and ran a binder ring through them.  Easy.  ( Just make your life easy and punch all the holes at one time in a stack so they all match up and are perfect).

Page 2 – the inside page is a graphic from the sheet of Ephemera Cards from the collection.
Isn’t this sheet of Ephemera Cards just divine?
Page three and four were sort of made at the same time.   I cut the oval from one sheet of Vintage Romance, then added lace to the back of the negative space.    The actual die cut oval was then used on page four as the focal point.

Thanks so much for stopping.

Hi there Maja fans! 🙂 Right now I am on holiday in Spain, and the time before I left were so busy. But I had some wedding cards to finish, so two more lollipop cards to go!

Once again I have used the lovely images from the Summer Crush Collection, called Snapshots. Infact all the papers used are from the wonderful Summer Crush Collection.

Summer-crush-K

The postmark stamp and the handwritten letter stamp are both from Stempelglede. The roses are from WOC. The text is written on my computer and printed out on watercolour paper 200g. The papers are inked With Distess Ink pad-Walnut Stain, and sewed with my sewing machine. I have added Liquid Pearl drops on the scalloped edges on the circles (spellbinder dies).

Between the paper layers I have put some doilies and cheese cloth.

And here is the other lollipop card. This one for my cousine Sandra who is marrying a guy from Australia. They met while she was studying there, and they are both coming home to Norway to celebrate their wedding together with friends and family. This will be the first time we meet the groom to come. And we are so excited and happy for them both! Can’t wait to meet Sandra again and her love.

I just think this image is the cutest, and perfect for a romantic card.

Here is the back of the cards. The text stamp used is from Stempelglede.

Hello Crafters,

when talking about cardmaking what paper size you prefer ?

well, as for me it is difficult to say exactly. I guess that each piece of paper is perfect for the card. However I decided to try to make almost the same cards design but mix the paper sizes of the same collection and patterned papers.

ShabbyCards_ElenaoLinevich_MajaDesign_2

I took Vintage Summer Basics collection and picked one of my favorites papers.

ShabbyCards_MajaDEsign_Sneak2

I like the mix of pale pink, mauve and peach.

For my second card I used lamost the same embellishments but try to take the same paper from the 6*6 paper pad

ShabbyCards_MajaDesign_1ElenaOlinevich

I used the same dies, the smaller size of resin frame.

and look – it looks almost the same and absolutely different at the same time.

Can you feel the difference?

Dear Maja friends,

Welcome here today. It’s time for a brand new mood board. Are you up for it? 😉

MB-June16

This is how we use the mood boards:

Definition mood board – n

[a board used by designers on which samples of various colours and textures are mounted to help in deciding which elements complement each other]

We are using mood boards for our challenges. We truly believe in creativity and art at Maja Design. You are free to interpret the mood boards in any way you’d like. They are supposed to set you in an inspirational mood without too much controlling. We would like you to be inspired by the poems, words and photos. They are not given rules, they are just there as inspiration. However – we highly recommend you to follow the theme.. Feel free to use any Maja papers you’d like as long as they follow the colour scheme.

We will pick a winner and present it here on the blog June 27th.

Have in mind that these challenges are a really great way for us to discover new talents and maybe some future Creative Team members…

How to participate?

♥ Create anything you’ll like – a layout, a card, something altered or maybe a canvas. Use Maja papers primarily! Take a nice picture of it and send it to moodboard@majadesign.nu. We also need to know your full name, address and a phone number. Please specify what collection you would like to win, if you are the lucky one. We will also want to know if you would like it in the size 12*12 or 6*6. Please send us the pictures in the size of 800 pixels on the width. We would be so grateful if you also could change the file name of the photo to your first and last name including your country.

♥ Feel free to send us more than one picture, from different angles or some close-ups – or why not more than one project?

♥ Publish the project/s on your blog (or/and any social media, e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) with a link to our site. Please also add the image of the mood board.

♥ Feel free to combine your entry with other challenges.

♥ The winner will be revealed the last Monday each month, at the Maja blog. The winner will be sent one collection by their choice, and also a digital Winner’s Badge to use and brag with.

We need your creation June 23rd at the latest.

Thank you & Good luck!
