Hello dear Maja fans ,

Today I bring you a dreamy layout  inspired by this months moodboard.

I love moodboards they are alway so inspiring , when I look at one the idea for a layout , card, minialbum or what ever will pop right into my mind.

For this layout i used the papers of two collections : vintage romance – Walk with me, for the base and Vintage Summer Basics -1922on top of it.

Besides that i used a lot of snippets that I placed underneath the picture.

The word Dream is a chippie from dusty attic and all the flowers from 49and market.

Thanks for visiting , hope I gave you some extra inspiration for the moodboard challenge.

A beautiful evening

Welcome Maja Friends!

I’m also still creating with our latest amazing ‘Celebration’ collection. As I saw this elegant dancing pair I thought on our annual SemperOperaball in Dresden. It’s a very special and magic event.

”Despite low temperatures, thousands of people will take to the theatre square in front of the Semper Opera House to celebrate the Semper Open Air Ball. While guests watch the gala programme inside, up to 15,000 partygoers will be singing and dancing outside in front of the opera house. In rain, freezing temperatures or under starlit skies – the Semper Open Air Ball transforms the square into the world’s largest dance floor for the locals and guests.”

Therefore I was inspired to make a home decoration piece, it’s a cloche in romantic vintage style.

How you can see you will need not so much materials, main thing is the paper sheet ‘Ballroom dancing’, old music paper, Distress inks and some embellishments how like flowers, lace, feathers and what do you want.

I used as basic a star from a cutting die. After I cut out the pair, I curved the motif with a knitting needle and folded the feets to glue them on. The paper from Maja Design is so stable that it stands alone, but you can stick to support a few more blooms from behind against it.

Now you just need to stick the decoration on.

I rolled up the notebook paper, distressed the edges and created some paper sticks.

I highlighted some places with Stickles ‘Baby Blue’ from Ranger and a wonderful blue feather suitable to the ball gown.

… and your new eyecatcher is ready 🙂

Thanks for your visit!

Greetings from Kerstin 🙂

It’s the first Tuesday in March and time for a new challange!
Are you up for some pink – pearl – charcoal stylish designs? Good! Then you should join in and play. Let yourself be inspired by our new Mood Board and have the chance to win a MajaDesign collection of your choice…

This is how we use the mood boards:

Definition mood board – n

[a board used by designers on which samples of various colours and textures are mounted to help in deciding which elements complement each other]

We are using mood boards for our challenges. We truly believe in creativity and art at Maja Design. You are free to interpret the mood boards in any way you’d like. They are supposed to set you in an inspirational mood without too much controlling. We would like you to be inspired by the poems, words and photos. They are not given rules, they are just there as inspiration. However – we highly recommend you to follow the theme.. Feel free to use any Maja papers you’d like as long as they follow the colour scheme.

We will pick a winner and present it here on the blog March 27th.

Have in mind that these challenges are a really great way for us to discover new talents and maybe some future Creative Team members…

How to participate?

♥ Create anything you’ll like – a layout, a card, something altered or maybe a canvas. Use Maja papers primarily! Take a nice picture of it and send it to moodboard@majadesign.nu. We also need to know your full name, address and a phone number. Please specify what collection you would like to win, if you are the lucky one. We will also want to know if you would like it in the size 12*12 or 6*6. Please send us the pictures in the size of 800 pixels on the width. We would be so grateful if you also could change the file name of the photo to your first and last name including your country.

♥ Feel free to send us more than one picture, from different angles or some close-ups – or why not more than one project?

♥ Publish the project/s on your blog (or/and any social media, e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) with a link to our site. Please also add the image of the mood board.

♥ Feel free to combine your entry with other challenges.

♥ The winner will be revealed the last Tuesday each month, at the Maja blog. The winner will be sent one collection by their choice.

We need your creation by March 22nd at the latest.

And let’s enjoy some amazing inspiration from the best Creative Team there is:

Goodmorning Lovely Maja Design Fans,

Today I am filling in for the lovely Nancy since she always makes such lovely cards, I’d like to show you a card I made with the newest collection combined with “Vintage Spring Basics” & “Vintage Autumn Basics”….although she is a queen in making cards I tried to make this card a pretty as she always does. The flowers I used are by 49 and Market and the stamp is designed by our very own Pascale….I just love the clock sheet from the Vintage Autumn Basics so much I almost always use them on my work what is you favorite Maja Design sheet?

I just cut some of the leaves from You’re Invited sheet to add to my flower cluster I just love how that turned out. Since I am a sucker for the color purple I do love that combination with the new collection. The chipboard I used are by The Dusty Attic and to match them to my card I added some wax on them.

Maja Design papers used: Celebration: You’re Invited, You’re Invited bs & the 6×6 Paper Pad, Vintage Spring Basics: 10th of April, Vinatge Autumn Basics: no.XVI

I would also like to show you some masculine tags I made for a different design team but with the lovely Maja Design “Celebration”collection.

Thank you so much for your visit I hope I have inspired you to play with your Maja Design papers you have in you stash or even order new products I have used here.

Love xoxo

Hi everyone! I have a decorated paper bag to show you today. I have used red, gorgeous papers from Maja Design and the Summertime Collection. When I have planned to use the colour red, this is my favourite collection to use.

I have cut out different parts by using the Maja Papers.

I have also coloured some seambinding ribbons to match the papers. I have sprayed them with water mixed with Distress Ink, re-inkers (Aged Mahogany and Fired Brick).

The image is from Magnolia and the Get Well Collection. And I have added som Frantage and Liquid pearls around her.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I have added corrugated paper, a doily, lace and several layers of papers underneath the image.

Here is the list of papers used:

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today!

With love,
