Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Forgive me please, but I’m back to my most favourite Maja collection, i.e. Denim&Friends. I just love the versatility of this set! The patterns, the colours – it’s so much more than just a masculine collection 🙂 And to prove that I have a birthday card to share – and it’s not necessarily for a man:

I layered light sand papers for my background and distressed all the edges. That provided a semi-dimensional matting for the focal decorative element, a chipboard layered clock:

I added a flower cluster in the lower left-hand corner and a small star banner in the opposite corner – I cut it out from the signature strip of the Monochrome-Aqua sheet (if you have seen some more of my projects, you know that I love using those tiny patterns too 🙂 )

Just look at this yummy dimension!

I really like the way the card turned out – light and delicate, with a romantic twist 🙂 What do you think?

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: chipboard clock: SnipArt; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; mists: Prima; stickers: Heidi Swapp; stamp: Lemonade; embossing powder: Ranger.

That is all for today, visit us daily for more inspiration!

Hi everyone! Here comes a lollipop card I made for a friend of mine. I have used some lovely papers from the Vintage Summer Basics collection. Here comes some photos I took a lovely Summer day.

To make the card, I first start by folding two accordions 30 x 7 cm. I fold at every cm. Then I glue the two papers together and get a long accordion. And after that I make a circle with it, by gluing it to a paper underneath.

All the gorgeous flowers was a gift from Petaloo some time ago. I got so many flowers, that I still have many left after making some projects for their cooperation with Maja Design. The butterflies are cut out from the pattern paper (Vintage Spring Basics). The image is coloured with Distress Ink.

Some secret envelopes. Made from a Magnolia die, using beautiful papers from Maja Design.

The text (from Stempelglede) is embossed on craft paper (translated: Have a lovely birthday).

Here is a list of the papers used:

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Enjoying Outdoors collection. I chose a photo of my mom.

I stamped randomly the background with different stamps. Next, I primed the paper with clear gesso and, when dry, I added adesign with a stencil and a clear crackle paste.

While the paste was drying, I colored some flowers with different metallic paints. I die cut some leaves in a watercolor paper and I colored them too with a green ink and some of the paints I used to color the flowers.

I painted the chipboard with two acrylic paints. To finish it I added a light touch of white gold wax.

The paste dry, I colored the background and added some splatters as well.

Next I cut some papers to add under the photo and I glued all the embellishments.

To finish the layout I added some microbeads.

Jennifer Snyder here with a card made from Maja Design’s  fun and flirty Denim & Friends collection.
The colors and patterns in this collection look like they came straight from your favorite pair of old worn jeans and a comfortable shirt.
These are the papers I used from the collection:
Stonewashed
Floral -both A side and B side of paper
Summer Shirt
Aren’t the beautiful florals delicate and  “comfortable”?
Here is a close up of the front.
The stamped sentiment is from JustRite Stamps.

In case you did not know, the Denim & Friends collection has a companion collection of solid colored monochrome papers to perfectly coordinate and make any project look polished and complete.  The solid monochrome collection is called Shades of Denim.    It’s absolutely a must for those of us who love everything to be perfectly coordinated.

Here is just another perspective of the card.
I kept the embellishments clean on the card because I want the  paper and sentiment to be the focal points.

  Thanks for stopping here today.

Hello Maja Friends,

August – my favorite Summer month, though it is the last before the dull and rainy days come. However I like it more than any month.
So that is why I enjoy looking through the pictures taken this summer and to create something that is associated with this particular month.

I combined several Summer collections for my Layout – Summertime, Summer Crush and Life in the Country.

I tried to keep the red and greens on my layout, using the paper layers, and added some embellishments of yellow and orange.

I also stretched the colors from the photo – soft blue and pumpkin and played with the acrylic paints .

I added some fussy cutting, though I mixed the greens and reds from almost the same patterned papers.

So it’s time to enjoy each and every day this Summer, hope you will follow my advice.

Products used:

Prima Marketing flowers, 2Crafty chipboard, Wycinanka Chipboard, Pentart acrylic Paints.
