Hello, and welcome to the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy here with you. I hope you’re staying warm and cozy as winter begins to settle in. I have a new Christmas card to share today. I’m super excited because it’s my first time working with Maja Design’s brand new paper collection, ‘Christmas Season’, and I’m completely in love with it!

The papers are distressed, layered, and stitched, forming a base for the embellishments. An image from the paper collection makes for a perfect sentiment and focal point.

A wintery collection of florals anchors the sentiment, while a trio of tiny bells jingle cheerily whenever the card is moved about. Frosty touches of gesso add an icy chill to the florals and around the edges of the card, and a loopy twine bow ties everything together.

Above is a peek of the interior of the card, where there is plenty of space to write a personal note.

Maja Design Papers Used:

Other Products Used: Twine, Gesso, Holiday Greenery, Jingle Bells.

Have you finished your holiday crafting yet? It’s not too late to pick up some of these gorgeous new papers to share in your beautiful cards and projects. I know you’ll love them as much as we do! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today and spending time with us! I wish you a healthy and happy Christmas, along with many blessings throughout the New Year!

Hugs,

Have you started getting your Christmas card list together?
Jennifer Snyder here today to share my card for the holiday season featuring an older collection from Maja Design while I wait to receive the new Christmas collection  “Christmas Season .
Below is a preview of the gorgeous new collection, “Christmas Season “.
The new collection is shipping now, so stay tuned.  You can shop for the newest collection using the Store Finder link.
While I anxiously wait for the new collection, I will play with one of the classics.
I am using  Maja Design It’s Christmas Time Collection. These are the specific papers I chose:
 Christmas Shopping
Festive Season
I love the rich warm colors of this vintage collection.  It’s truly looks like pages from Christmas past.
I used some chipboard embellishments from Creative Embellishments that have been simply painted.
Finish the card with some holiday gems and it’s starting to look like Christmas.

Thanks for stopping.  May your Christmas and Holiday season be filled with love and Maja Design papers.

Merry Christmas

Welcome Maja friends!

I love fireplaces especially on christmas time, it’s a wonderful tradition to hang up socks for every family member. Unfortunately I haven’t a fireplace and so I decided to make this in a small format.

I used papers from various christmas/ winter collections from Maja Design

Want to see how they are made? Here I have some photos from the making.

Steps and tips

As basic an old black wooden frame and the ‘Gnistra’ paper sheet as wonderful neutral background

added with some torned pieces from old music paper, inked with Distress walnut stain

the highlight was the fireplace.

I saw some months ago an idea on Pinterest where a simple plastic frame was used,

I was impressed and went in search for the right frame.

I found this in a One Euro Store, the frame was square

and so I just had to remove the bottom part

really simple, but a cool effect!

Hello! Welcome to the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy here with you on this beautiful Tuesday. A week ago I posted a complete tutorial for paper roses, so I’m using some of my handmade blossoms to bring this secret garden to life. I have a passion for secret gardens. Honestly, I can’t get enough of them. My home, Charleston, is filled with private gardens sequestered behind tall brick walls with elaborate wrought iron gates. I’m always trying to peek beyond the gates to glimpse the beauty that lies beyond.

You don’t have to peek around massive iron gates to visit my garden! Inside you are greeted by distressed Maja Design papers, layered die cut doilies, abundant handcrafted blooms, shabby resin embellishments, and a sweet stamped sentiment.
