Hello Maja friends! It’s Andrea here with you today, I’ve got quite a few cards to show you…I’ve been incredibly inspired lately…and Maja papers have A LOT to do with it! So let’s forgo some of the chit chat and get down to brass tacks…AndreaEwenCSC165MThis first card features the Ska vi ta en fika collection. I’ve also used Verve stamps, Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Doily die, a heart buckle, a key, pearls and a twine bow. Next up…

AndreaEwenCSC164mcThis card was made with Vintage Autumn Basics. The card mostly focuses on the papers, but I did add some ribbon, a crocheted sticker, Pastel Sequins and stamps by Verve, ribbon, Zva Creative pearls and a doily. Onto….

TidingsMIt’s Christmas time! Stamps, die cuts and seam binding is by Verve, a Spellbinders Fleur De Lis frame, crystals, pearls and a twine bow add to the Christmas charm. Now that brings us to more Christmas goodness….

VCCCNov32013MajaIt’s hard to tell, but I used It’s Christmas time again, this paper is called Deck the Halls. I cut out a middle section so that my accents would stand out from the card. I stamped the sentiment from Verve at the bottom corner and the paper flowers are from the $1 bin at a local craft store. Last, but not least is….

Nov2013InspHopZva_edited-1More Vintage Autumn Basics! All the papers you see are from this collection. I use the lighter and darker shades of each grouping of colors to mat my card. I painted the heart die cuts with Modge Podge and then dusted them with some coarse crystal glitter. The two bottom hearts were also adorned around their perimeters with Platinum Stickles. I added a Zva Creative pearl flourish and stapled a seam binding bow to the tag.

Thanks so much for joining me today…hope you’ve taken a little inspiration with you!

Hello Maja friends! It’s Andrea posting today, I’ve got some cards to show you…all across the board as far as colors and paper collections…starting with my first card featuring Vintage Summer Basics:

ThanksALatteMDThis card is very thick…I’m often asked how I mail my cards…well, simply, they have to be put into a small box. A card like this would never fit into an envelope and frankly, if someone were to manage to jam it into one, the recipient would find a jumble of paper upon opening it. I used many layers, a rosette, a glittered die cut and lots of liquid pearls on the above card. This next card was made using Walking in the Forest collection:

ChevronLove1023MwmI added some Fall leaves paired with a pretty blue flower (also extremely thick) and lots of distressing. I cut the hearts out with a die cut using Jeans paper and to lighten the tone a bit, I dipped my finger into some white craft ink and softly dabbed some of the white into the centers. It gave a perfect ‘worn’ look…just like a comfy pair of denim jeans! Now onto some shabby elegance…this next card is using Vintage Spring Basics:

VCCCOct202013mThe Spellbinders die cut I used as the sentiment panel was way too long, so I cut it across the middle and reattached the ends…careful to line them up. Since it ended up having a seam in the middle, I simply added a panel of 4th of April to cover it up and stamp my sentiment. I added some violets to coincide with the 10th of April background paper (though I think they are pansies printed on the paper…at least the colors coordinated!). The decorative border was made with a Martha Stewart corner punch that I lined up on a strip of white paper and adorned with pearls. Lastly is a tag that I made with Maja Design’s newest release, Vintage Autumn Basics:

OctoberDivaDareAndreaZI cut a panel of No. XXII paper to 3″ X 6″ and matched up the flowers, lace, pearls and ribbons. I think this line of paper is one of my favorites…(hmm…it’s a close race with all the others {grin}…) The bow at the top is made with silk ribbon…it’s so nice to work with because it is so pliable.

Thanks for spending some time with me today…hope you’re feeling inspired!

Morning Maja friends! I was lucky enough to get a large chunk of time in my craft studio this past weekend and went crazy designing with my beloved Maja Design papers! Everytime I sit down to make a card, I find myself gravitating to these papers….doesn’t matter which collection…I’m easily inspired by them all! Today I’m showcasing the new Vintage Autumn Basics and Vintage Summer Basics…because I’m just not ready to let summer go, though, I really love Autumn, too! Here’s three cards from Autumn Basics followed by one from the Summer Basics line I made over the last two weeks:MajaOct1013MCThe above card features No. X, No. XVI-bs and No.XVII along with some vintage lace, twine, pearls, flowers, copper accents, a doily, and Verve’s Award Banner die. The verse is also from Verve.CSC160MajaCThis card has LOTS going on, the specific papers I used were: No. I, No. II, No. III-bs, No. IV, No. V-bs, No. XVI-bs. I made the loopy flower accent with some thin ribbon and glued a paper flower on the middle. The above card also features Verve’s sentiment, daisy chain lace, pearls, burlap and the Award Banner die. Lots of distressing, too.
VerveInspirationHop102013MajaMoving closer to Winter with this card…it still features the Vintage Autumn Basics collection, but I paired with with some snowflakes and aqua ribbon to give it more of a wintry feel. The sentiment is from Verve and I also added some pearls, Liquid Pearls, daisy chain lace, a snowflake button and Spellbinder dies. CSC161Maja

Moving on to our beloved past summer, this card features 1923, 1933, 1936 and 1936-bs papers from the Vintage Summer Basics collection. I used the same vintage lace from the first card, but dyed it with Copic markers to match the background paper. The floral accent consists of a lace bow, a crocheted flower, a paper flower, a twine bow and pearl/tulle stamens. The sentiment is again from Verve and I layered that onto some Oval and Floral Oval Nestability die cuts. Many, many pearls complete the look. Oh, and I had to get some sewing on there, too…I just love the look of stitching!

Thanks for joining me today…hope you have a wonderfully inspired day!Andrea-sign

Morning Maja friends!  Andrea checking in today…and I have to tell you that I am so happy right now! I received this delightful package from  Sweden on Tuesday…loaded with all kinds of Maja goodness…not to mention the stunning new Vintage Autumn Basics collection! Can you say love at first sight? I can, I did and I will keep on saying that until I use up every last shred of this amazingly beautiful paper! Of course, I couldn’t wait pursue some craftiness starring these exquisite Maja designs…here’s the result of my follies:

RememberingYouMajaCThis darling photo was included in the collection, the page that it’s from is called Heritage. It’s full of vintage photos with different people and backgrounds. I thought that the Verve sentiment would go perfect with an old photo. I also used No. X, No. VI and No. XVI papers along with some Verve Truly, Madly, Deeply seam binding, a wood flourish, fabric flowers and a chipboard heart decorated with lace, pearls and twine.

Here’s a birthday card made with the No. I, No. II and the back of No. II papers from the same collection. I added some burlap, organdy ribbon, crystal stamens, a fabric flower, tulle and a length of daisy chain lace adorned with pearls. All edges are distressed with either scissors, ink or both.

You can bet that I’ll be back with many more cards from this collection of papers…I don’t think I could ever, in a million years, tire of them. I hope you’ll feel the same…{wink, wink}. Have a wonderful day and thanks for spending a small portion of it with me! Andrea-sign

Hello Maja friends! It’s a beautiful day here in New Jersey…we’re in the midst of a heat wave right now! The kids are back in school, the temps drop into the 50’s and night but during the day it’s supposed to get up to almost 90! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a little Fall type weather to come my way! In response to our last little grasp of summer, I pulled out my Maja Design’s Sofiero collection to come up with this card here:CSC157MajaCleanThis card features the Crea Diem collection:
