Hello Maja friends! It’s Andrea posting today, I’ve got some cards to show you…all across the board as far as colors and paper collections…starting with my first card featuring Vintage Summer Basics:

ThanksALatteMDThis card is very thick…I’m often asked how I mail my cards…well, simply, they have to be put into a small box. A card like this would never fit into an envelope and frankly, if someone were to manage to jam it into one, the recipient would find a jumble of paper upon opening it. I used many layers, a rosette, a glittered die cut and lots of liquid pearls on the above card. This next card was made using Walking in the Forest collection:

ChevronLove1023MwmI added some Fall leaves paired with a pretty blue flower (also extremely thick) and lots of distressing. I cut the hearts out with a die cut using Jeans paper and to lighten the tone a bit, I dipped my finger into some white craft ink and softly dabbed some of the white into the centers. It gave a perfect ‘worn’ look…just like a comfy pair of denim jeans! Now onto some shabby elegance…this next card is using Vintage Spring Basics:

VCCCOct202013mThe Spellbinders die cut I used as the sentiment panel was way too long, so I cut it across the middle and reattached the ends…careful to line them up. Since it ended up having a seam in the middle, I simply added a panel of 4th of April to cover it up and stamp my sentiment. I added some violets to coincide with the 10th of April background paper (though I think they are pansies printed on the paper…at least the colors coordinated!). The decorative border was made with a Martha Stewart corner punch that I lined up on a strip of white paper and adorned with pearls. Lastly is a tag that I made with Maja Design’s newest release, Vintage Autumn Basics:

OctoberDivaDareAndreaZI cut a panel of No. XXII paper to 3″ X 6″ and matched up the flowers, lace, pearls and ribbons. I think this line of paper is one of my favorites…(hmm…it’s a close race with all the others {grin}…) The bow at the top is made with silk ribbon…it’s so nice to work with because it is so pliable.

Thanks for spending some time with me today…hope you’re feeling inspired!
