Hello, today I would like to share with you, a LO I did, using Maja Design’s Beautiful, Enjoying Outdoors Collection……

Clear Gesso, Clear Crackle, Prills-Lavender & Lace , Express Yourself . Pearls, Shimmerz Inklings-Greener Pastures, Honeymoon,Chocolate & Diamonds LuminArt Silk-Oyster

Here are some close ups…..

Shows many distressed, hand stitched paper layers. The Maja Papers are the softest, best distressing papers I have ever worked with, plus they blend so well….

Shows a Flower Cluster using 49 and Market Shimmer and Shine Flowers, & Dusty Attic Tropical Foliage. I altered some of the flower centers, using Prills-Express Yourself. The Chipboard was primed with clear gesso, then I applied a thick coat of clear crackle. Once the crackle dried, I painted the pieces, with Inklings Chocolate and Diamonds, Greener Pastures, & Honeymoon, for the purple used. I used LuminArt Oyster to tone down the colors…

I also used a string of pearls in the cluster, & glued on Lavender & Lace Prills onto the tropical foliage…

Hello Sweeties,

Today, I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new mixed media layout featuring both the “Enjoying Outdoors” and the “I Wish” collections.

As usual, I primed the background with clear gesso. While it was drying, I prepared a paste with 3D Gloss Gel and the Rust and the Gold Opal Magic Mica Powders. I added a first design with this homemade paste and a stencil.

I prepared a second paste with the Rusty Red Art Alchemy and the Texture Powder: the result is a matte paste. I used a second stencil to add another design and let dry everything.

I painted the orchids with the Rusty Red paint and added more gold to them with the Gold Opal Magic. I die-cut some branches in a watercolor paper.

I colored the background with Moonshadow spray ink and Magicals to match the colors of the photo. I added also some random stamping.

I cut some papers from the I Wish collection to match and add under the photo. I glued all the embellishments with a 3D gel.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a layout featuring the Sofiero paper collection. I chose a photo of my family: my grandmother, my father, my aunt and unfortunately I’m not sure who the other two are.

I primed the background with clear gesso. While it was drying, I cut a few papers from the Vintage Romance 6×6 pad that I glued on the background. Then I added a thin layer of white gesso.

I added a design with a stencil and different pastes: clear crackle, white crackle, and white stone. When dry, I added some color with Iris Potion Sparks paint that I watered down.

I die-cut some leaves in a watercolor paper. I colored the vine with Raven Sparks and the leaves with Twinkling H2Os. Then I covered them with the Antique Brillance Amethyst Magic. I added some wax on the background too to add a vintage look.

I colored some flowers with a spray made of Primary Element and water. Before gluing all the embellishments, I added some random stamping with an Archival ink and with the Raven Sparks. I added a little bird house that I colored with the wax too.

To finish the layout I added some micro beads.

Goodmorning lovelies,

It’s such a blessing to post on this blog and today I am here to show you two tall cards I created with a bunch of Maja Design collections. I don’t even know how many of them because both cards made out of leftover papers I really enjoy using my scraps every once in a while! I really enjoy the month March not only because it was my birthday {and hubby’s too} yesterday but I really love how spring is sneaking up on us. Did you see the gorgeous spring mood board yesterday on the blog? If not please check the ladies made some pretty amazing work on that mood board wow…..

First card is called “Hello Love” and this card has at least three collections in it like “Enjoying Outdoors”, “Vintage Spring Basics” & can you see the other one? These cards are all made with dies so you can really see the beautiful Maja Design collections at it’s best.

Maja Design papers used: on the flowers; Late summer flowers bs & Scent of lavender

Second card is called “Groovy Summer” I really am longing for Summer since this is my most favorite season of the year but here in The Netherlands that will take some time before we can put our winter coats away sadly. This card is made with just one collection which is one of my all time favorites “Life by the Sea” both cards are the same size about 8,5″ inches tall and 4,5″ inches wide.

I hope you enjoyed my post today and I would like to wish you a lovely week and weekend. We {hubby and I} are going to celebrate out birthday’s this Saturday I just love to see our families again. Bye bye for now….

Here are some close ups…

For the background, I trimmed the outside edges, of the Bride & Groom sheet, so the bottom mat, wrapped in old newspaper-BS, would show. I also cut slits, & distressed those, & glued wrapped in old newspaper under the slits….

I primed all of the chipboard, with clear gesso, then applied clear crackle on to some of the pieces. Once the crackle had dried, I painted the pieces, with Shimmerz Inklings-Chocolate & Diamonds, for the brown, Mochachino for the lavender brown, greener pastures for the green, & toned down or blended the colors with sheer bliss. I also inked the edges using the pinecone ink pad….
