Hello Everyone ? I hope you all having a wonderful weekend ?

Today it is me, Silje Kristin that are reay with some Christmas inspiration, made with some lovely Maja Papers  ?

It has bean many Christmas gifts lately and this is no exception. I have this Sunday decorated a box of chocolate hearts, which you can buy in the Norwegian food stores. Maby you have a box with some sweets in your country that you can turn in to a beautiful Christmas Gift like I did 🙂

I like many others have is in love with the new collection to Maja Design – I Wish. I’ve spent more of the gorgeous sheets that can be found in the collection. The sheets I used on this project is: I Wish Christmas was Today, I Wish Santa will Remeber Me, I Wish we will deck the Halls and I Wish to play in the Snow.

I’ve made a box where I can get the box with chocolate hearts inside. The box fits the dimensions of the box with the chocolate hearts.

On the top of the box I’ve chosen to decorate with details that remind us of Christmas. Cinnamon stick, red berries, stars of wood, pinecone, big red button with ribbon and a red flower.

The image on the chocolate box is taken from the sheet called I Wish – ephemera. This is a sheet with some lovely Christmas designs. I have used the Santa Claus, with the text: With kindly Greeting let me say, I think of you this Christmas Day. Christmas Cheer.

Seems this text fits perfectly to the lucky one that get this Christmas gift ?

Around the box, I have red wax tread which is attached with a ribbon and button in the front. Taking this away, you can peek to see what’s inside ?

The Stamp I have chosen to use seys Merry Christmas only on Norwegian, the stamp is from kaBoks. I’ve used black embossing powder from Ranger.

A easy, but lovely Christmas gift from me today ?

Goodmorning everyone,

Today I will show you my first layout with the super pretty/grungy new “I Wish” collection. As all the collections by Maja Design this one is also very versatile and I used it for non Christmas or wintery layout, actually I made this layout for my colleague {as a surprise I am going to give it to her next Tuesday}. She went to France last September and took a bunch off wonderful picture like this one… I am a hugh sucker for castles, old places, ruins etc so I thought let me use one of these pictures and surprise her.

The flowers I used are from Little Birdie, Dusty Attic and some lilies from a unknown manufacture. These lilies are really lovely to use because you can bent them in every way you want to I used the one my last layout too….. The chipboard pieces are all inked, aged & embossed and are all Dusty Attic!

I used both the 6×6 paper pad as the 12×12 collection to make my layout. I added some Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays & embossing powders and also some stamps and at the end some crackle paste and some art stones {mini & medium}, glass glitter & metal pieces by Finnabair.

I can not get enough of this gorgeous new collection, “I Wish”!

The red, cream, and green are accented perfectly with chocolate brown and it’s a divine combination!

I created a mimic effect from the plaid with my stitching.

I adore how the simplicity allows my sweet girls photo jump off the page!

I’ve used minimal embellishments so the beautiful plaid paper takes center stage.

Hi there! Still in the middle of November, but I am in the Christmas mood. When it comes to cardmaking, that is. Who could resist with the gorgeous papers from I wish.

Today I will show you a giftbag that I have decorated.

I have coloured the sweet image from Magnolia called Holly Wreath Tilda, with Distress Inks re-inkers, in the same colours as the I wish papers I have used. I love these warm nostalgic colours. The Merry Christmas text is also from Magnolia. The postmark stamps around the image are from Stempelglede.

Under you see the back of the bag.

Hello and welcome to The Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy today, returning after being away for a couple of months with a broken arm. Time certainly crawls when I’m grounded from spending my days in my craft room. I’m beyond thrilled to finally be back with you all!

During my absence a brand new holiday collection, ‘I Wish’, was released. It’s filled with page after page of beautiful, festive patterns and vintage inspired ephemera. I’ve been waiting not-so-patiently to begin playing with it. The holiday card I’m sharing features several designs from the this collection.

I begin by distressing, layering, and stitching the lovely papers. The base design elements include two staggered rectangular panels, a label die, and a snowflake die cut from corrugated board. Each layer is popped up with foam tape to add dimension. The snowflake is lightly dusted with acrylic paint. A postage stamp from the collection (with a fun rubber stamped North Pole cancellation) adds a little whimsy. The image of the sweet child bundled in her winter finery is fussy cut from the paper collection.

Ivory lace, a natural twine bow, and winter white berries adorn the left side of the card. Prima flowers are hand colored in pale ivory. A couple of snowflake flourishes bedeck the top of the large snowflake.

The inside of the card features rubber stamping, elements from the paper collection, and an embellished file folder for tucking away a gift card.
