Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new set of cards featuring the Nyhavn collection.

Nyhavn's Cards by Pascale B.

I used the same background paper (Strolling along the canal) on both card and added the same design with a stencil and two metallic paints: one gold the other one silver.

Nyhavn's Cards by Pascale B.

On both card, I added a piece of the Old Townhouses paper as well as a piece of the Historical atmosphere paper.

On this one, I added yellow roses and leaves die-cut in the Enjoying Outdoors papers.

On the second card, I added blue and pink roses.

The two cards, even if they were made with the same papers, look totally different just because I’ve used two different colors of embellishments.

Good Morning, Maja Friends,

How are you going to spend your summer? as for me , we have planned a trip by car to Europe and we will visit some beautiful places there. I hope I will make tons of phots to scrap during the year.

So that is why I decided to make something, that will be perfect for a trip theme. Here is my Castle Mini Album

I found a fancy chipboard mini album, castle shape in my stash. so I thought it would be a nice idea to use it finally.

My choice was for Nyhavn collection, so great for your trip and travel projects. Once I have laready made the album with it, this time I had a very interesting shape for it.

I used only paper die cuts and some chipboard pieces, I didn’t want it to be a busy one, as I am still planning to add some pages for making the notes, so it’s a kind of travel book I would say.

However I made some flaps and photo frames, to fill it with the future pictures.

I also made some stamped embellishments, so easy and fast.

and stamped on the background as well.

Good morning, Maja friends, welcome to the blog today!

For this post I have made a layout inspired by one of the older CSI challenges – and it was mainly because of the colour palette I believe I’d never used before 🙂

mdfree

Intrigued by the combination of ecru, grey, dark rust and brown I thought it might make a nice boy layout. I used papers from two different collections and as always it turned out they work together pretty well 🙂 I first stamped some newspaper print stamp on the Nyhavn background paper, and then layered pieces from the Vintage Winter collection:

mdfree1

I love adding some real vintage elements to my pages: here’s an old clock face:

mdfree2

Following the instructions for the challenge, I added the title behind bars 😉 I chose to use stickers to form a sentence: Free your mind.

mdfree3

For the journaling, I used two stamps to refer to the title and stamped them on scraps of papers:

mdfree5

And finally I added the flower cluster and a beautiful metal birdcage:

mdfree4

I really like the way this page turned out! And I like the dimension in it – though it makes it so difficult to store such layouts… But still, it’s worth the inconvenience 😉

mdfree6

I think I might never have used such a colour combo if not by inspiration, and that’s why I like to enter challenges sometimes – including Maja Design Moodboard Challenges! (btw, a new one has just started, see the post below and join in the fun!).

And here’s what I used for my layout:

Other: flowers, leaves, birdcage: Prima; stamps: Darkroom Door, Prima, Inkadinkado; washi tape, game spinner: Tim Holtz; stickers: October Afternoon; chipboard, metal branch, clock face: my stash.

See you later!

Hey Hey and Happy Thursday!

I have a LO to share this week featuring a SWEET photo of my precious granddaughter.

I adore the beautiful color in this wonderful Nyhavn collection. It’s a fabulous soft pallet yet there are pops

of fantastic color that pop from the page.

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog a new layout featuring a photo taken in Rennes (France). This head has a long story as it has been stolen several time.

Reminisce_PB

I started to add a thin layer of clear gesso to help the paper with all the inks I will add later. Then I added a design with a stamp and clear embossing powder.  Then I colored the background with different shades of brown and black.

Reminisce_detail2_PB

I covered the chipboards with a white crackle paste and I aged them with Twinkling H2O.

Reminisce_detail1_PB

I colored the tip of flowers with two tones of Distress Inks and sprayed them allowing the inks to move along the paper.

Reminisce_detail3_PB

I colored the leaves with the same Twinkling H2O  I used for the background and added some silver Mica Powder.

Reminisce_detail4_PB

I finished the page with Glass Glitter and Micro Beads.
