New Year’s Eve…
It’s got time to say goodbye to year 2013 and welcome a brand new year 2014.

The past year has been very exciting for us at MajaDesign. Amog other things, and maybe the one we’re most happy about, we’ve added lots of new retailers, in several new countries, to our Store Finder. This means it gets easier for you to get hold of MajaDesign papers.
The whole Team want to say a big Thank You! to all of you who have followed us throughout the year. We are very greatful for all the encouraging words and nice comments, and we’re so much looking forward to continue inspiring you during next year.

Before we end this year we’ve got one thing left to do… announce the winner of this year’s last Mood Board.

A reminder of what you got to work with:

Hi friends! What a pleasure it is to be blogging today! In a funny sort of a way, it feels as though I am able to share Christmas with all of you, even if in a small blogland-type of a way!

I hope you and your families have all had a wonderful Christmas! I cannot believe how quickly the holidays crept up this year, and how quickly we will be celebrating the start of the New Year. It seems like only yesterday that I joined this incredible team of talent. But you know what they say, right? Time goes by quickly when you’re having fun! And boy, what fun I’ve had! I have spent the most wonderful year alongside some incredibly talented artists, designing with THE most beautiful paper. It really is hard for me to say goodbye, but I know that the 2014 Maja team is packed full of incredibly sweet and talented ladies, and that it will be yet another year of beautiful creations for you all to enjoy.

As for me, I am excited to try something a little different, and step down from designing, to focus more on other passions, like photography! I will, however, be sharing more “unofficial” Maja projects for as long as I have the beautiful paper to create with, so please come visit me when you have the time!

For today, I am sharing my latest creations with the beautiful new Vintage Frost Basics collection.

I hope they bring a little Christmas cheer your way!

I love this brand new collection, and how easy it is to create with the gorgeous designs. Each paper is full of vintage Christmas images, making it super duper easy to whip up some Christmas cards in no time at all. I rarely felt that I needed to add extra embellishments, which was perfect, as most of my scrappy goodies were tucked away in storage!

5

On each card, I used a mixture of papers, a bit of decorative tape. some of my favorite dies, and a few holiday stamps.

7

For a bit of added texture, I tucked in some felt, and a tad of pretty, shabby lace.

8

I also wanted to add a bit of sparkle, as it is so very appropriate for the holidays. So I added some sequin trim and a sparkly star pin.

9

On this next card, I added a little handmade bow, which is just the perfect little three-dimensional element.

Just under the bow, a few little stamped holly berries and boughs add yet another little festive touch.

Supplies Used: Maja Design Paper (6th of December, Christmas Die-Cuts, Days of December), Papertrey Ink Dies (Filigree Border, Heart Border, Half-n-Half Dies), My Favorite Things Dies (Spring Wreath, Christmas Ornaments), Papertrey Ink Stamps (Love Lives Here), Papertrey Ink Dye Ink (Scarlet Jewel),  Felt, Sequins, Pins and Lace from my stash.

Well, it is time for us to continue our Christmas festivities, so I best be getting back to all the fun. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year.

Thank you for a beautiful year of memories!Ivana-sign

Hi everybody! In just a few days it is Christmas and for my blog post today I have made a gift bag. It is perfect to use as a package for a small gift to someone. For this gift bag I have used the Vintage Frost Basics collection. I just love the little angels!

Giftbag

I only used a flower and a bow made of seam binding as decorations. And I also added a tag where I can write a sentiment or something. For the sides I used a striped paper.

Merry Christmas to all of you! See you next year!

Hello Maja Friends. The time has passed so fast, and I can not believe that I have been designing for Maja for almost one year. Anyway it was such a greatexperience for me and I am happy that I will have it next year too.

I absolutely love the designs Marie creates for the collections, and I have noticed that I even started creating more cards this year, though I am more a Layout girl. However, everyone is busy with Christmas preparations this time of the year and I have some 5 minutes cards to share. I decided to find out what I can create just in one  evening ( ususally it takes me much more time).

I have chosen Vintage Frost Basics Collection for all of my cards:

Card1VFBElena

The first one has many layers. But I do like its blue tones on the papers and on the amballishments

Card2VFBElena    My second card focuses on the image of children and it doesn’t demands any extra details.

Card3VFBElena

My last card is quite simple but it reminds me that I need to try skating this year, I haven’t made it for several years.

This is my final post this 2013 year. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you next year.

Morning Maja friends! It’s Andrea here with you today…bringing you some Maja holiday goodness in the form of some cards…a few of which I made over the last 2 weeks and then a little recap of my favorite Maja Design themed card over this past year. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been with the team almost a year now and I can tell you that I absolutely adore Marie’s designs and the lovely, quality paper that she puts into every set. Her papers are definitely my ‘go-to’ papers…I will never tire of their delicate, vintage style! So without further chitchat…here are a couple new ones: HappyChristmasMajaI used the Vintage Frost Basics for my ‘Happy Christmas’ card. This card below is from the same line:
