Hello Maja Friends,

Today I’ve got a big Baby girl album to share with you.

It has taken me a lot of crafty days to work on it, but I like how it came out at the end

I enjoyed mixing the collections for the pages and mostly worked with the papers from the Basics collection – Vintage Summer and Vintage Spring, and used the basic background and the floral patterns

Besides the flower and die cut embellishments, I did some watercolor drawings to this shabby pages

The album is really large as I used the  full size of 12×12 pages

A few pages I have already shared on the blog, however now I put all of them in one album and made a book binding too.

So though the pages were made for a newborn girl I didn’t add any baby related embellishments, except for some Princess theme

Fabric and lace my favorite add ons to the album

So let’s check the other pages too:

The swans and ballerina theme – this is what I have focused on too.

Some close ups for the watercolors

Hello Maja Fans,

today I’ve a got a page to share that I made as a part of big Baby Album I am working on for my friend.

I love creating Baby projects and each time I challenge myself with using non-baby papers, in this case I mixed the papers from mostly Vintage Spring Basics  collection

I kept on building the layers as one of my favorite technique and added the resin angel as a focal point.

I also created the heart embellishment using the distressed paper layers and sew them in the middle

I made some extra flaps to fill in with the photos later and used the silhouette from die cutting.

Watercoloring is what I am keen on at the moment, so I added some of them to the background and to the circle of the clock.

Stay tuned for more pages from my big Baby Album for my freind.

Hello Sweeties

Today, I’m up on Maja Design blog for the last time. After 4 years, it’s time for me to say goodbye and it’s never easy, but don’t worry, you will continue to see me on the web. I want to thank Marie again for having me for such a long time, her kindness, and for her generosity.
And for my last project, I made a layout featuring the Vintage Basics collections: I used the Summer and Spring collections. I work with another of my family treasure: on the photo, taken by my maternal grandfather, you can see his mother with his brother.

First I stamped randomly with a dark brown ink and different stamps. When done, I primed the background with clear gesso.

I mixed together a brown magical with white crackle paste to add a design with a stencil. To give the effect of a peeling design I used my palette knife to remove some part of the design. I let dry naturally to allow the crackle to appear.

In the meantime, I soaked some flower chipboards in order to give them more dimension and texture. I gently pulled apart the edges to add more texture. After drying, I primed them with white gesso and I used blue and brown inks to add some colors.

I just added some gold shimmer to the white flowers and some brown ink to the leaves. I colored also some leaves chipboards with the brown ink as well as a mix of different sizes of Art Stones.

When the crackle paste was dry, I added some colors with the same inks to the background. Next, I cut a few papers to add under the photo before gluing all the embellishments.

To finish the layout I add some fine glitters on top of the flowers chipboards and the Art Stones.

Hello Maja Friends,

Summer is always full of wedding ceremonies, so each year I am busy with creating wedding cards for my friends

Normally I make more than just a couple of cards. So this time I made 2 different cards

I decided to mix the collections again, I love how they work together, no matter which collection you use.

I used mostly Vintage Spring Basics collection, focused on the blue and beige tones and added lace embellishments

Also I made some fussy cutting, and even cut out the roses form the Summertime collection

So you can see the collections are totally a perfect match.
